Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, continues to dominate global headlines with his trailblazing moves. Spotify's newsroom announced on February 17 that he's set to make history with the first-ever Billions Club Live performance in Asia, headlining a special concert in Tokyo on March 7. This one-night-only event celebrates his 28 tracks in the Billions Club, including hits like "Me Porto Bonito," "DÁKITI," and "Ojitos Lindos," and marks his debut show in the region, exclusively for top Japanese listeners. It ties into his ongoing DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS tour but stands alone as a Spotify milestone, following stars like Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd.Buzz from his Super Bowl LX halftime show on February 8 still echoes, with YouTube compilations like the Bad Bunny and Sia-inspired tracks mix from Ressonya on February 17 highlighting his stadium dominance. These fan edits fuse his Latin trap energy with epic pop anthems, capturing the spectacle of his mostly Spanish-language performance—the first by a solo Latino artist. Social media is ablaze with tour ticket hype and billions streams chatter, underscoring his fourth straight year as Spotify's Global Top Artist.Listeners, thanks for tuning in. In this episode of the Soundcentric Podcast, Adam sits down with Don Chenz for a wide ranging and unfiltered conversation about the current state of hip hop. They break down J. Cole's long awaited album after an eight year tease, debating Disc 1 versus Disc 2, KOD versus Might Delete Later, and whether Cole's technical brilliance sometimes works against him. The discussion expands into the Grammys conversation, including Kendrick Lamar's dominance and whether Tyler, The Creator has become the Academy's new favorite. From there, they dive into producer GOAT debates featuring Alchemist and DJ Premier, the evolving sound of the 2020s, and whether modern rap has become too polished. They also explore marketing in the streaming era, mysterious artist branding, snippet culture, short form versus long form content, and the thrill of discovering artists early like Trevor Spitta, Doechii, and Jack Harlow. It is a passionate and layered discussion about rap nostalgia, algorithms, artistry, and where hip hop is headed next. Send a textWelcome to the Pinto Podcast! I'm your host Chris, joined as always by my beautiful wife and co-host of the BoricuameRican podcast, Nancy. Last week was Super Bowl LX, but forget the game—the real MVP was Bad Bunny's electrifying halftime performance. Some are calling it an abomination, others the "Benito Bowl." A week later, people are still buzzing about it more than the Seahawks' win (shoutout to my team finally getting one after decades of Giants/Jets/Mets heartbreak!). In this episode, Nancy and I break it all down: What we expected going in (spoiler: I braced for a full-on protest anthem in a dress—none of that happened!) Why the actual show was pure entertainment: killer energy, incredible dancing, those iconic telephone poles nodding to Puerto Rico's real-life struggles, stunning camera work, La Marqueta vibes, barbershop sets, and a celebration of Boricua culture that made us crave pernil, lechón, and alcapurrias ASAP. The aftermath and the wild online debates: Why the "it should be in English" crowd missed the point (you don't need to sing along to enjoy opera, Kendrick Lamar, or The Weeknd—same here!), how "choose your battles" applies, and why this wasn't some big "F-you" to America but a proud showcase of Puerto Rico as part of it.We dive into the tribalism, the tribal yelling on TV, Bad Bunny out-streaming Taylor Swift right now, the NFL's push into Latin America for fans/merch/gambling revenue, and how this might be the most talked-about halftime show ever—eclipsing the game itself and putting Bad Bunny's name everywhere. Whether you're Team Benito Bowl or still recovering from the controversy, grab some Puerto Rican snacks and join us for laughs, real talk, and a fresh take on one of the biggest cultural moments of 2026. Want to request a song? Tell us your rating? Send us a Text Message right now! This week on 1001 Songs That Make You Want To Die, we head straight into the fog with The Hills by The Weeknd.A song that sounds like fame, paranoia, sex, and self-loathing all yelling over each other through blown speakers. It's moody. It's aggressive. It's been blasted in cars at dangerous volumes since 2015.Joining us is Joe Orchard from the Get The Shot podcast by Tamron, bringing strong opinions, zero fear, and the correct amount of chaos. We dig into the lyrics, the nihilistic flexing, the distorted production choices, and whether The Hills is a masterpiece of dark pop or just Abel yelling his problems at us very loudly. There's talk of ego, excess, emotional damage, and of course a serious discussion about whether any of us could beat The Weeknd in a fight.Turn it up. NOSTELGIA ALERT! Since the internet says 2026 is the new 2016 here is a little treat for you to help your mind go back to a much simpler time. Back when social media was about posting whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted and did not require a full time curation. Back when social media was an extension of reality and not just another form of advertising. Back when the SnapChat dog filter was the ishhhh and palm trees with the Rio filter were all the rage. Music was the same too, much simpler and more soulful. Enjoy this trip back memory lane... recorded in the last days of 2016 by the original host of the DJ Top 30 Countdown. Paulieeeeeeeeeeee B. Even the original cover art screams 2016 simplicity! It really wants me to bring back the Mannequin, or the Water bottle flip challenge. Episode 99: Ty Dolla $ign. One of the only artists to earn TWO diamond records in the last decade, Ty Dolla $ign joins us for a deep, musician-to-musician conversation about a career built on trust, taste, and timeless records. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ty grew up surrounded by live music through his father, musician Tyrone Griffin Sr. of Lakeside, learning instruments at a young age and developing a deep respect for musicianship before fame ever entered the picture. In this interview, Ty breaks down his journey from South Central LA to becoming one of the most trusted collaborators in modern music. We talk through the early days of Beach House, the breakout impact of “Paranoid” and “Or Nah” with DJ Mustard, and how songwriting and features like “Loyal" and “Psycho” helped shape his rise. Ty reflects on the making of Free TC, the emotional weight behind the album, and carrying his brother with him throughout his career. Ty opens up about working across genres, collaborating with artists like The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, YG, Wiz Khalifa, Terrace Martin, Kanye, and more. We talk his songwriting and production process, and how he approaches features musically, treating voices like instruments and focusing on frequency, tone, and feel over star power. We also dive into his role as a label co-founder with EZMNY Records, signing and developing Leon Thomas, and witnessing Leon's rapid rise from artist development to Grammy-nominated albums (Electric Dusk and Mutt). Ty shares his philosophy on mentorship, artist development, long term friendships, women, and building a label rooted in belief and musicianship. Hot flashes, brain fog, anxious nights, and a doctor telling you it's “just stress” can make you feel powerless. We start the year by taking that power back. I sit down with Dr. Sarah Doyle—doctor of physical therapy and functional medicine practitioner—to map the real mechanics of midlife: how estrogen fuels brain energy and vessel health, why progesterone calms the nervous system, and how chronic stress diverts raw materials away from the hormones that stabilize mood, sleep, libido, and cognition. We dig into the surprising overlap between postpartum and perimenopause—both are hormone crashes that scramble serotonin, GABA, and dopamine. You'll hear why ignoring “small” clues like night sweats, frozen shoulder, recurrent UTIs, or new-onset anxiety can snowball into bigger issues if you don't address root causes. Dr. Doyle breaks down adrenals and cortisol in plain language, showing how fight-or-flight can stall sex hormone production, raise cardiovascular risk, and accelerate musculoskeletal pain. We also talk candidly about racial disparities in symptom duration, the genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and the life-changing role of local estrogen for tissue health and comfort.BioDr. Sarah Doyle is a former ICU physical therapist turned Functional Medicine clinician and Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition who specializes in hormone optimization and disease prevention through evidence-based nutrition. After years of publishing research, writing bestselling books (The THIN Formula and 7X Method), co-founding HealWell Regenerative Institute at the prestigious Carillon Wellness Resort, and working as a performance physiotherapist for artists like Shakira and The Weeknd, Dr. Doyle identified a major gap in women's hormone care—especially during perimenopause and menopause. She created her new menopause supplement to be as strong as HRT under the Vita-Fem brand: a potent, all-natural, research-backed daily stick pack designed to reduce brain fog, balance hormones, and improve compliance by dissolving easily in water. Proven through before-and-after testing and published case studies, this innovative formula reflects Dr. Doyle's mission to help millions of women thrive through their “second puberty” and beyond—without reliance on pharmaceuticals. 15 min. Hello my friends, welcome to another edition of DJ Witwicky's radio show. Happy New Year to all loyal listeners and Keisha. For Christmas, the previous installment was a rather melancholy display of the blues, Lightnin' Hopkins in particular. Now for the New Year, my newest dance episode. Combining old and new, obscure and corporate. More importantly, I have recently updated the Feng Shui of the podcast room. This is what I've wanted this room to look like for years. It only took a tapestry display ladder, bluetooth lamp and a blooming Zygo Cactus to get where I needed to be. I'm basically aura farming in this room at all times now. Another addition, I was given a vintage CD player that looks like a turntable for Christmas which serves as a welcome addition to the Tower of Power. For those wondering, my pre-existing CD collection includes an original release of Channel Orange by Frank Ocean, multiple copies of Kanye albums some unopened, an autographed CD from The Weeknd, Linkin Park - Jay Z collab, multiple from Zeppelin and Sabbath. I've been eyeing Harmon Kardon receivers and speaker systems lately for the final upgrade to the pod room. I sincerely hope that my fantastic listening audience had a wonderful holiday break, I'm looking forward to the new year. As always, thank you for being here. Hope you enjoyed itYour favorite internet disc jockey,Witwicka Juan Don

Electronic music pioneer Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) joins SCORE to discuss his explosive new score to A24's MARTY SUPREME, directed by Josh Safdie, as well as his background as a godfather of the late-2000s “Vaporwave” music genre and his ongoing record producing with singer-songwriter Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd).Daniel dives into his early life and discovery on early electronic musical instruments, and how a meaningless corporate job helped inspire some of the hallmarks of Vaporwave music, as heard in his 2010 release Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1. Interview Date: July 14th, 2025Episode Summary:Eden Shabtai shares how a kid from a tiny Israeli kibbutz—obsessed with MTV and training in ballet and modern—willed her way into New York's scene and eventually L.A.'s major stages. She opens up about the unglamorous decade of artist development, underpaid gigs, and nonstop outreach that built the foundation for her “overnight” break assisting on Chris Brown's Loyal, leading to major award shows and TV. A six-month backpacking trip through India reshaped her idea of success, while the O-1 visa process taught ruthless persistence. Eden also speaks candidly about receiving an aggressive breast-cancer diagnosis while five months pregnant, undergoing chemo with cold-cap treatments, and protecting her peace by avoiding toxic workrooms.Creatively, Eden explains why she builds choreography live in the studio—feeding off dancers and music—and why energy, individuality, and attitude matter more than stacked résumés. Listeners will gain insight into using social media strategically, differences between NYC training and L.A. work volume, how to stand out in auditions (presence, styling, quick adjustments), and the mindset that sustains a career: humility, resilience, and community.Shownotes:(0:00) – Welcome and guest introduction(8:20) – Early roots: ballet, modern, MTV influence(13:53) – India trip reframes success and happiness(15:24) – Visa grind: persistence, evidence, good lawyer(18:53) – Moving to L.A.: training vs. booking realities(21:08) – Breakthrough: assisting on “Loyal”(26:44) – Favorite projects: BET 2014, Fleur East(29:31) – Cancer while pregnant: resilience and boundaries(42:05) – Creative process: energy-first choreography(51:19) – What makes dancers stand outBiography:Originally from a kibbutz in northern Israel, Eden began training in ballet and modern at age 7. With no formal hip-hop classes available at the time, she learned by watching MTV. Determined to pursue dance professionally, she left home at 16 to study at a specialized dance school. After serving in the IDF, she spent six transformative months traveling India before moving to New York City to chase her dream. In NYC, Eden trained at Broadway Dance Center and quickly became a sought-after teacher for over 150 young students while choreographing for up-and-coming artists. Realizing her long-term goals required a move west, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2010.Since then, Eden has worked across NBC, ABC, BET, FOX, CBS, VH1, CW, and MTV. Her credits include the VMAs, Grammys, Billboard Awards, Dancing with the Stars, iHeart Radio Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, X Factor, The Ellen Show, James Corden, American Idol, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and more. She has choreographed campaigns for Hasbro, Office Max, Office Depot, HEB, and Clark's.Eden has worked with artists including Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Ava Max, Jason Derulo, Enrique Iglesias, Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, Marc Anthony, Flo-Rida, Brandy, Omarion, Miguel, Pia Mia, Little Mix, Sevyn Streeter, No Doubt, Snoop Dogg, Kehlani, Janelle Monáe, Fleur East, Priyanka Chopra, Machine Gun Kelly, Tinashe, WizKid, Serayah, DJ Snake, Hardwell, YungBlud, Jack & Jack, and many more.In 2017 Eden served as a Judge/Mentor on a new Israeli dance competition series, where she became the winning mentor.
