A tradition like unlike any other. It's officially Masters Week, and this week's pod drops on a special TUESDAY edition of the Masters Preview. Jarod Ludemann jumps on the pod to discuss betting strategies, Draft Kings lineups and some nuggets that both Jordan and Jarod have discovered heading into the first major of the year.
Recorded: April 4th, 2025 On this week's Episode of Bussin' With The Boys, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan have stand-up comedian Mark Normand on the bus! Will and Taylor break down their preview of their favorites for The Masters and whether or not Michael Chandler can take down Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett at UFC 314. Then they kick things off with a full weekend recap—Will has fully adopted Ashton Hall's morning routine, and Taylor’s been on his handy man era, fixing a flood in his basement during a huge storm in Nashville. Certified legend and comedian Mark Normand joins the pod and immediately brings the heat. We’re talkin’ growing up in New Orleans, and one WILD night with a prostitute on Bourbon Street. The convo hits everything—hecklers, getting starstruck in the comedy world, slingin’ whiskey with Sam Morril, and Mark's bromance with Theo Von. The boys even break down his big comedy break, Kill Tony appearances, and what it’s like being married to another comic. (and having a baby boy with her as well!) Oh, and Mark’s a low-key UFC diehard, so you know we had to hit that too. You can catch all the Boy's new merch at BWTB.com! Like, subscribe, rate 5 stars, and as always... Big hugs, tiny kisses. In this episode we WadeOutThere with Jarob Ortiz, from Arlington, Virginia. Jarob started fly fishing in 3rd grade, after being drawn to the delicate cast and presentation portrayed in the popular book and movie, A River Runs Through It. He learned to cast from his uncle from Montana, and when he signed up for the Air Force out of high school, Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska was at the top of his list. When he wasn't working in the A-10 Warthog's electronic warfare shop, he was spending all his free time traveling to fishing destinations throughout Alaska. After separating from the Air Force, Jarob used his G.I. Bill to pay for photography equipment and education, to start his second career. Jarob spent several years being a commercial photographer and fly fishing on the side, before making a last ditch attempt to keep his passion for photography alive, applying for a dream job, shooting our National Parks in the style and technique of famous photographer Ansel Adams. Today, Jarob is THE large format photographer for the national park service, tasked to capture the historic architecture and engineering projects throughout our country. We discuss how becoming engrossed in the systems we commit to, whether they be fly fishing or photography, create a balance in our lives, and Jarod shares stories and tips from some of his most memorable fly fishing adventures in our National Parks.Learn More:Instagram: @heritagedocumentationnpsVisit WadeOutThere.com/art for 10% off your first original painting or limited edition print from show host and artist Jason Shemchuk Visit TacticalFlyFisher.com and use Promo Code: wade15 at checkout for 15% off you next tactical gear purchase.Newsletter Sign-Up . The University of Michigan Museum of Art is hosting a new exhibit by photographer Jarod Lew. In, Strange You Never Knew, Lew delves into the complexities of knowing one's true identity, focusing on the Asian American diaspora in the Midwest. In his photographs, Lew has his subjects looking directly at the camera. He explains that this creative choice is intended to establish a tension between the subjects and the viewer. By capturing images in Asian American homes, he creates a sense of tension that arises from viewing these private interior spaces and the experiences of the subjects. In his series, In Between You and Your Shadow, Lew explores what tomorrow holds for his subjects. In his photographs, he captures his mother’s history through gestures and memorabilia from her past. Lew's mother was engaged to Detroiter Vincent Chin, a young Chinese American engineer who was beaten to death by two white men, at a time when anti-Asian racism was widespread in Michigan. Chin’s death was a touchstone for Asian American political activism, but for Jarod Lew’s family, it was a secret he only discovered as a young adult. He includes images of his family in the show, and while his mother is also photographed, her face is never visable. "For me this work speaks to my mom's right for opacity. My mom's right not to be associated with this history, because it's her decision to not want to be a part of this history," Lew said.
