Divine Mercy is a gift that Jesus Christ Himself gives to us and all we have to do is ask for it. Please join me in discussing the treasure that is Divine Mercy and remember always, the more we need His Mercy, the more He wants to grant it to us.

Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St. Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and indifferent of whom He said: "These souls cause Me more suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I said: 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.' The last hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy."

The Divine Mercy podcast presents a series of podcasts devoted to the physiology of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The series will discuss what was physically taking place in the human body of our Lord during the Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, the trials of Jesus, the scourging and the crucifixion. In addition, I will be reading excerpts from the visions of St. Anne Catherine Emmerich of the Sorrowful Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. These visions provide us with a detailed description of the horrific Passion and will, hopefully, shed further light on the humanity and divinity of our Lord.Websites mentioned on this podcast:On the Physical Death of Jesus ChristThe Dolorous Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ Music on this podcast:There will be no music on the podcast during LentTheme music provided by:Megan Pettengill - Main Theme

Distraction during prayer is a challenge for us all. To try to assist you with this, I have recorded the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and included a series of meditations on the wounds of Christ's Passion. I pray that this recording will help you to grow closer to our Lord as you meditate on his passion and the agonizing wounds he endured for our salvation. May the Merciful Jesus fill your heart with His gentle peace and remember, at every moment, do what Love requires. REPOST: I inadvertently deleted this episode from the site so I am republishing it. This was originally posted on June 10, 2006. The Stations of the Cross can be used as a meditation for praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. In this episode of the Divine Mercy Podcast, I discuss this meditation and talk about creating a separate Stations of the Cross recording. I also introduce the first E-mail segment of the Divine Mercy Podcast as I have finally received enough email to devote a segment of the show. August 2nd is the Franciscan feast of Our Lady of the Angels. In conjuction with this feast day is the Porziuncula Indulgence, which is a plenary indulgence that can release the recipient of all temporal punishment from sins committed from the day of baptism to the day the indulgence is received. Please listen to the requirements outlined to obtain this indulgence and tell every Catholic person you know about it so we may all take advantage of this blessing from Jesus Christ. Each of us must realize that we continue to be the author's of Christ's Passion and Death. Jesus Christ died outside of time for all men - past, present and future - to have the choice to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In order to do this, Jesus Christ had to take upon Himself the death sentence each of us incurs by each and every sin we committ. The sin we commit today is responsible for the agony Christ endured on the Cross.
