Set sail with best friends and sailors, Colleen and Julia, as they embark on voyages throughout the ages that met a fatal nautical fate. These two bffs discuss shipwrecks, while floating on the drink of their choosing each episode.
An Aegean adventure, the tale of the Anitkythera is anything but told. Hot Greek divers, a technological miracle, treasures untold... this wreck has it all! Join Colleen and Julia as we travel back thousands of years to the warm Mediterranean to explore the story of this "titantic of the ancient world". Gentle on the ears, this episode is one of our more gentle, giggleable, and fun wrecks!
Though we never body shame, this vessel is infamous for its horrifically high body count. This week's episode explores the creation and destruction of the MV Salem Express, a RORO ferry of the 1960s-80s. After a series of mishaps, she was sold to the Samatour Shipping Company, which owned her during her final days. Join Colleen and Julia as they board her last routine journey of 36 hours over 450 miles and tell you the tale of one of the most infamous wrecks in the Red Sea. Recommended by a great college pal, Gaby, this shipwreck is one of the darkest ones we'll ever cover. A routine ferry ride from Incheon to Jeju in South Korea in the 90s goes horribly wrong, with cabins full of children and a crew lacking any nautical experience. This wreck is haunted for sure, and listen in to learn more. In the Golden Age of Piracy, this episode's lady of the sea is royalty: the Queen Anne's Revenge. It wouldn't be long after being built that this English vessel would soon go rogue, manned by none other than Blackbeard, the pirate king himself! Get Wrecked with us as we follow the rompings of this ship through Europe and the Caribbean until her watery grave along east coast.
A captain singing Christmas carols, a Midwestern ferry breaking national records- there's a lot to love about the Edmund Fitzgerald! This episode, we go over the life and legacy of the Good old Eddy Fitz, a shipwreck surrounded in glory and mystery that ultimately would go down (no pun intended) as one of the worst nautical disasters in Midwestern history.
