Grants Uncovered is aimed at helping you find and win more grants.
Yesterday has to have been a record-breaker for Australia. There was a grant that opened at 9:30am and closed at 12:30pm, with 3,000 applications received! I'm seeing a lot more funders advertise a closing date, but state that they will close the grant program as soon as enough applications have been received. Yesterday, that only took 3 hours. Get my tips on how I managed to apply in time, and adopt them yourself to the next highly advertised, highly competitive, short timeframe grant program.
Grants fund organisations that help families like mine. As we edge closer to my 7-year-old's next Open Heart Surgery, I'm acutely reminded of the need for grants to keep supporting organisations that invest in supporting families living with critical and chronic health issues. The mental strain on weeks like this for us gets heavy. By midday today, we'll know whether we're facing another surgery, or whether life will continue on as it has for the last 6 years. With Carers Week coming up in October, I've highlighted 5 grants that support families and carers experiencing serious health issues. Thank you to the many funders and organisations who are investing in this space. We need you. Olivia Lyon, CEO of The Grants Hub, joins me to break down the Federal Government's 2021-22 Budget. Specifically, into what it means on the ground for the community across Australia in relation to grants and funding. While big numbers can be impressive, sometimes it's hard to know how these numbers translate into tangible outcomes in relation to grants and funding. $15.2 billion committed to infrastructure over the next ten years, for example, is great, but how can communities access that money and are there grants attached to it? If you're responsible for fundraising or budget management in any capacity and want to know what the Federal Budget means for you, then this episode is for you.
