Benny drops in for a cool chat & names his Dream 13! Any player. Any era. Any team. Any competition ... then combine them!
AJ and Rhys review a crazy round of rugby league which saw the high-scoring theme of the first two rounds completely disappear with attack seemingly going out the window. We also have a live reaction to Daly Cherry-Evans' explosive decision to leave Manly at the end of the 2025 season. On the show- Costly GF rematch for both sides with key men injured. Penrith's young halves deliver while Melbourne's pack delivers !- Warriors find a way to grind out a win while the Roosters attacking credentials come under fire amid young squad.- Souths have first loss of the year as mascot shows more fight than their forward pack. Cronulla's first half blitz overshadowed by second half no show.- Tigers comeback from 18-6 down and show signs of improvement under Benji. Dolphins game smarts called into question after several missed opportunities.- Titans attack finds some shine and defensively show resillience while Newcastle forget their footy IQ as Ponga and co. go missing on the Glitter Strip- Bulldogs find a way to win, but questions linger over attack without Burton. Parramatta show some form of resillience.- Manly show their class with ruthless display of football. Canberra's discipline questioned after ruthless set restart count goes against them as Ricky Stuart chucks yet another tantrum.
A couple of weekend winners on NRL Sunday. The Gold Coast Titans had to show their defensive resolve to beat the Knights and hooker Sam Verrills (32:57) reckons that's part of their plan to focus less on the flashy part of their game. Cronulla skipper Cam McInnes (2:50:50) steered his to an impressive win over South Sydney with the growing understanding between halves Braydon Trindall and Nicho Hynes a stand-out. Andrew Moore, Luke Lewis and John Gibbs also ran through the issues of the week in 6 Again (8:34), get to know Ryan Hoffman better (1:28:10), and chat with one of the game's great administrators John Quayle (2:17:34).
South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow joined Andrew Moore, Ryan Hoffman and Ian Cohen for a preview of the Bunnies clash at Shark Park on Saturday night against Cronulla.
AJ and Rhys return to recap Round 2 of the NRL season. There was lots of upsets this week, so if you won last week but lost unexpectedly, take our learnings from Round 1 and don't panic. Unless you are a Cowboy or Eels fan, then you scream silently. On the show!- Newcastle prove they can be a force despite the Brown news, we analyse what that means for Sharpe and KP as well as what is going wrong at Redcliffe.- Warriors get redemption in their home opener while Manly experience some dejavu from last season. Vossy got that call 100% correct as Turbo and DCE have injury clouds.- The Roosters miracle win as AJ praises Tedesco, Whyte and Wong as well as the entire team's committment to the cause. Are there any concerns for Penrith or is it just an off night.- Was Shane Flanagan right to call out Lachie Ilias or was Kyle Flanagan deserving of the firing line? Souths' 1 dilemna as Jye Gray delivers another standout performance.- Cronulla get it done in a gritty display as further questions mount of the Cowboys and Todd Payten's approach.- Canberra show their early season muscle - going 2-0 for the second year running with an impressive win over Brisbane. Rhys gives his side a dressing down.- Forget the first 25 mins of the Eels v Tigers game, but the rest was pure enjoyment. The Tigers turning it on through Rooster reject Terrell May, as we put the blowtorch on Parramatta.- Bulldogs back at Belmore as we put the Titans on the blastfernace for the way they used their interchange. - LOLCOW of the Week
In a bumper NRL Sunday show Canberra forward Matty Nicholson (00:00:06) joined the show after making his debut for Canberra last night in a match he also scored two tries in! Talking first thought today is code hoppers, and the first person that comes to mind is Michael 'Snoz' O'Connor (00: 24:36). And another round 2 winner was Sam Stonestreet (0:48:16) who explained how Cronulla rebounded back from the Vegas trip.

Remember that guy who surfed over 700 waves for 40 hours? Well Blakey Johnston has wisely decided he's not going alone for his next world record. Mitchell Moses missing Parramatta's Round 1 blockbuster against the Melbourne Storm was not how the Jason Ryles era was meant to kickoff. The fact that he heads an extended unofficial injury list is incredibly unfortunate and it sets the tone for the early discussions in this episode of The Tip Sheet. Sixties and Forty20 evaluate where the Eels stand with the team named to take on the Storm. Ronald Volkman has been named to replace Moses while Ryley Smith makes his NRL debut. Is this the best team Ryles could have named all things considering? The Junior Representatives are over the hump round are three teams posted victories on the weekend. The boys wrap up all four games as the Lisa Fiaola and SG Ball continue their undefeated runs while the Harold Matthews finally put it all together against Penrith. The Vegas debrief looks at a mostly lopsided slate of results. Was four games too many? Sixties argues that three games might be the sweet spot moving forwards. The Warriors looked a mile off the pace against the Raiders while Cronulla and the Panthers battled to the final moments - what were the takeaways from Round 0?
We hope everyone hangs in there in the south east corner of QLD this weekend, big Alf is on his way so quick! Get out and buy 650 rolls of shit paper NOW! Vegas weekend is over for another year and we think it will only keep getting better and better, big props to the Jillaroo's. Yes, the poms absolutely have some work to do but can't take anything away from the girls. Penrith and Cronulla showcased the game perfectly in the blockbuster clash, and we are pretty sure Canberra won the comp after their celebrations post match. You would think there must have be some rescheduling in the AFL opening round with games set to be played in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Looking forward to a cracking game of Friday Night Footy with the Swans and Hawks at the SCG. Great effort on the No Limit card from Vegas Larfield and Liam Wilson. Fair bit of heat in the Wilson fight but good to see the boys shake hands and sort it out post fight. Ya wouldn't believe it but there was a bit of controversy in a big boxing bout between Tank Davis and Lamont Roach, wouldn't be a big fight without it. Everyone will be gee'd up for Alex Pereira this weekend at UFC 313, very interesting to see what his opponents game plan will be! Chucky Sanders very stiff not to get captain of the week again after his effort in the Dubai Desert Classic, but this show is ruthless. Look forward to seeing yas Friday morning for the punt show, all the best! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

AJ and Rhys review the NRL's second adventure into Las Vegas.A crowd improvement of 5,000 has shown that there are green shoots a plenty but there are still many areas of improvement if the game is to grow internationally beyond Australasia and Europe. AJ and Rhys debate whether the Vegas program (should they keep four games) be spread across the Friday and Saturday night OR if they cut games. On the show- Canberra's depth put on a show as Jamal Fogarty's kicking game comes up trumps.- Warriors show the concerns AJ raised in the pre-season. Will they make the changes for R2 and beyond- Cronulla show their premiership muscle and the key signs of improvement needed to match and better Penrith.- The continuing emergence of Lindsay Smith.- The Salford Red Devils Crisis- The future of Vegas ?- What NRL coaches have been stitched up deluxe?
