Quote: The attitude we bring to things changes everything. Rick Rubin Summary In today's episode of Dream Big, Move Fast, Phil Harris and Josh Phegan show us the elements of winning in down markets. They examine working out markets using early indicators, reducing distractions, the power of forecasting, why strategy matters and why you want to stay listing. They talk about learning to bridge the gap between buyers and sellers, knowing what's required to dominate and win, and enjoying the conditions you have. And they examine the principle of determining if it's an effort or a skills error holding you back.
I turned 44 recently, and instead of celebrating where I've been, I found myself questioning where I'm going. In this episode, I'm sharing a vulnerable reflection about how easy it is for working mums to lose sight of their biggest dreams while managing the endless demands of everyday life. We talk about why survival mode steals our ability to dream, how fear disguises itself as "being practical," and why your past doesn't get to decide your future. If you've been feeling stuck, this conversation is your invitation to start believing in what's possible again. In this episode, we unpack: Why survival mode makes it so hard to dream big. The difference between dreaming and casting a vision. How fear hides behind "being realistic." Why your past doesn't define your future. The mindset shift that helps you step into your next level. Free MasterclassYou can see the life you want so clearly. The confident version of you, doing the work that actually matters. And then you don't move. Most videos will tell you that's your amygdala, or a dopamine hit, or a lack of discipline. They're wrong, and in this episode I'll show you what's actually happening in your brain when you sit down to begin.I spent twenty years in corporate and made partner at a FTSE 250 before becoming a coach, and the question I could never let go of was why capable people, people with every resource and every reason to move, still don't. This is the answer. We look at the real neuroscience of the vision-to-action gap, including Dr. Tim Pychyl's twenty years of research showing procrastination is an emotion problem, not a time management one, Dr. Piers Steel's motivation equation, and the research most people get wrong about dopamine and desire. Then I give you the one thing that actually closes the gap. Not more motivation. The next right action, small enough that being wrong about it costs you nothing.Because clarity is not the thing you need before you move. Clarity is what moving produces. If you can see it and you haven't started, this one is for you.Free guide, the identity gap and the disciplined mind training: https://www.amenkaur.com/aboutStudies referenced: Pychyl and Sirois on procrastination and emotion regulation. In this popular re-aired episode, Alison talks with Cathy Christen about self-care through the lens of energy, health, and intentional living and their conversation focuses on how nourishing ourselves can come from more than just sleep, food, and exercise.Cathy shares her background in entrepreneurship and explains that after years of pushing hard, she became burnt out and realized that success was not sustainable if she ignored her own wellbeing. They discuss the idea that energy has several parts: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Cathy describes how joy, meaningful relationships, mindfulness, and prayer all contribute to how she feels each day, along with practical habits like time blocking and choosing what matters most. She also explains how her approach changed after having children. Instead of following a rigid routine, she adapted her mornings to include meditation, affirmations, shared family time, and trade-offs with her husband so both of them can care for themselves. They close with practical guidance for listeners who feel overwhelmed. Cathy encourages starting with a clear reason for wanting better health, making a dreams list, finding support through a mentor or community, and being honest about what is draining versus what is life-giving.HIGHLIGHTS:0:06 Energy and Self-Care Reset3:39 Beyond Physical Energy6:04 New Mom, New Routine7:27 Four Kinds of Energy10:01 Fueling What Matters12:48 Finding Your Why15:03 Dream Big, Live Intentionally17:53 Life on Purpose19:22 Delegate the Drain22:04 Forgiveness and Healing25:01 Start With a Mentor27:25 Make Time by Choice29:30 Closing Thoughts on Prioritiesconnect with Cathywebsite: https://cathychristen.comLife As A Masterpiece book: https://a.co/d/06uMkQOWSPONSOR:Cellev8Discount code: THEALISONK ALISON'S LINKS:Website | Facebook | Twitter | InstagramGET MY FREE 4 part Pop-up Podcast SeriesJOIN Borderless Hybrid Innovators FB GroupINNOVATION AVENUE: Fitness and Self-Care Revolution
Free will or divine plan, which one actually shapes your life? The Adjustment Bureau raises a question every one of us runs into eventually. Two ways of understanding how life unfolds get explored here: one where every detail is scripted in advance, and another where real choices create real ripples across time. Scripture backs the second picture again and again, pointing to a God whose wisdom is bigger than any single script and able to work good through whatever we hand back to him. That ripple effect is why answers to why can feel so hard to pin down, and why trust ends up mattering more than certainty.Every choice you make counts more than you think, and a good God can turn even the hardest moments into something beautiful. That's the kind of courage this Meadow Heights family keeps choosing as we Dream Big together. Bring your questions, bring your doubts, and keep leaning toward the ripple worth starting. For links and more info, visit:https://www.meadowheights.com/hub

Most companies recruit interns to take work off someone's plate. Your Health does the opposite — and it's why several of its current executives, including a Chief Information Officer, first walked in the door as interns. In this episode, Jamie sits down with Heather Bower, Director of Experiential Learning, who has taken the reins of Your Health's internship, mentorship, preceptorship, and apprenticeship programs. Heather shares how a long-standing program is being rebuilt with structure, data, and intention — organized into semester cohorts, anchored by a four-day all-company orientation, and designed so every intern owns a project with genuine stakes. In this conversation, you'll hear: Why "get interns because they're cheap" is exactly the wrong spirit — and what replaces it How one MBA intern's shadowing experience redirected him toward nursing school The "spreadsheet whisperer" intern who taught regional leadership to pull data faster What surprises interns most once they're inside healthcare: the human complexity How Your Health uses feedback loops to move interns toward roles where they'll actually shine If you're early in your career and unsure where you fit, this episode is a map to possibilities you may not know exist. Press play and rethink what an internship can really be. www.YourHealth.Org

Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber close out the show by digging into how long it has been since the Knicks last lost and what their Game 1 Finals win says about their depth, toughness, and championship belief. The conversation covers whether rest is fueling the Knicks' late game dominance, Victor Wembanyama's postgame comments, San Antonio's strange player introductions, Aaron Judge injury speculation, the unsung impact of OG Anunoby and Jose Alvarado, and why Karl Anthony Towns deserves major credit for stepping up as a leader and defender.

Opening Bible verse: Matthew 19:4-6 As we finish up our month of dreaming big, I invite you to take it one step further and dream big with your spouse. In today's episode, I give you five steps to take to begin dreaming big with your spouse IF YOU ARE A NEW LISTENER, WELCOME! BEGIN HERE: This year we are doing my group coaching course together via this podcast! It's free and it only gets better as the year progresses. In January we began with God at the center of our day and our home. We worked to build the habit of a morning prayer routine. I highly recommend the rosary. It's only about 20 minutes and you'll meditate on the whole life of Jesus. February is the month of decluttering. Saturday episodes have been added to focus on decluttering in the kitchen. Each month will have a different focus area and the Saturday episodes will help you focus on one small section of that room. In March we decluttered your wardrobe. In April we are moving into budgeting for food. Our Saturday episodes will still be about decluttering. Our declutter focus area for April is your bedroom. In May we dreamed big! June brings us to one of the most useful topics in my group coaching course…meal planning. Ah, the feel of knowing exactly what's for dinner is the most stress-free feeling in the world! Give this first episode of 2026 a listen to hear where to begin: 316. Your 2026 Life Overhaul Plan: Faith, Clutter, Debt, Diet and More! If you've never prayed a rosary or you want to see how you can incorporate it into active decluttering, here is the first episode of my rosary declutter series from last summer. 288. Summer Declutter Series Week Just getting started on your decluttering journey? Give this episode a listen before you begin: 322. Guidelines to Decluttering ***Are you so overwhelmed with clutter that you find yourself unable to make any decisions? Do you plan on decluttering only to find yourself standing in a room confused about where to start? Are you hoping motivation will strike and you'll get it all done in one weekend? If this sounds like you, let's work together. Book a one hour virtual coaching session via Zoom. Together we craft a decluttering plan and I walk you through the process. You'll complete much of the decluttering on your own time at your own pace. I just give you the roadmap and the accountability. Cost $77 per hour. Virtual Coaching Schedule Not sure what you need? No problem! Book a complimentary 15 minute clarity call. We'll meet via Zoom and see if working with me would benefit you. Email me at: tightshipmama@gmail.com to schedule a time.
