Justice is a concept we are very confused about in our culture, and amidst all the options our city clamors about, God has something more. As God shows Habakkuk he cares about justice by explaining some specifics, it makes us pause to think about the framework we use. It's a big question, with a complex and nuanced answer... and we only scratch the surface! But it's a big conversation, so you''re invited to get excited about God growing you, and perhaps spotting your justice weak spot.

As we continue reading Luke together in the Becoming Like Jesus series, we dive into some big themes from Jesus' temptation to a breakout of healing. This week presents two influences, and two responses. The coming Kingdom of God battles against the kingdom of darkness, and people demonstrate polar opposite responses as they choose sides. Because it's about slavery, a topic that has generated some nervousness for some recently, people can be nervous about what it is and who it's for. Actually, it's a very Kingdom-shaped celebration.
