The struggle to find hope and purpose is universal. Earlier in this study, we saw that we were created to be with God and live for His glory, and we will find that purpose through our trust in the work of Christ. Many people have yet to learn that truth, and they continue to struggle with the quest for hope and purpose. As believers, we have a responsibility to lead them to find that hope and purpose in Christ.
What must I do to be saved? We make decisions constantly. Many decisions require little thought, and most decisions require little long-term commitment. But the greatest decision centers on what we will do with Jesus Christ. Knowledge about Jesus is not enough. Our need for salvation is answered in Jesus, but we must each decide whether we will commit to that truth and trust Jesus.
Why would Jesus save me? When we come face-to-face with our sin and failures, we can become despondent. A feeling of doom can settle in. After all, we have earned the wrath of God. But the story doesn’t end there. It is amazing that God—the holy, righteous God who has condemned our sin—also loves us and stepped in to save us. We deserve judgment and hell, but God offers the only way out through Christ.
What went wrong? We want trouble-free lives and we might wonder: “If God created all this, why is the world in such a mess?” Life is full of problems—from the minor irritants like slow traffic to life-altering catastrophes. But what’s wrong with our lives does not arise from one of these external issues. Our greatest problem is internal; it’s a sin issue. God created us for something incredible, but we lost it because of our sin.
Isaiah 43:1-7 We were created to Glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Where do I fit in? It’s easy to fill our lives with things and activities. Busyness can drown out the quiet, nagging question that asks: What’s the purpose of all I’m doing? What have I really accomplished? God created us for so much more than what we often settle for. He created us with purpose and for a purpose. Life becomes rich and full as we discover and live out God’s purpose for our lives.
How did we get here? Some people wrongly assume this question only has two views: either science has the answer in evolution or religion has the answer in faith. Many scientists, however, hold to neither evolution nor a specific faith, but they contend there was an Intelligent Designer. Intelligent design doesn’t tell us much; it just presents a stronger argument than the random, pruposelessnes found in evolution. The Bible goes beyond talking about an intelligent designer; it gives us a picture of the character of the Creator.

We exist TO KNOW GOD & MAKE GOD KNOWN. When God created Adam and Eve, He walked in the garden with them (c.f. Gen 3:8). They knew each other intimately by spending time together. This is God’s desire for all of us: to have an intimate relationship with each of us. Jesus tells us to love Lord our God with all of our heart, mind, and soul (Matt 22:37). This means we are to know Him and love Him with everything we have. This love that God has for us and ours for him is not meant to be only private and selfish, but shared with others as well because God is jealous for us (Deut 4:23-24). He desires to know all of us in an intimate relationship. Therefore, this means we need to go out and make God known by sharing the Gospel and declaring God’s Word (c.f., Ps 96:2-4; Mark 16:15-16; Phlm 1:6).

At this time when God makes all things new, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Rev 21:4). This is our hope in Christ. The promise we have in Christ is that we are forgiven of our sins and will be resurrected with Christ to be in His presence for eternity.

We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to judge the living and the dead. At this time, it will be too late for those who have never believe. Therefore, we need to share the Gospel with everyone we can to give them a chance to believe in Christ and receive life from Him. Those of us who have loved and obeyed Christ will be embraced.

It is amazing knowing that our God is not dead! He paid the price for our sins offering us the gift of salvation reconciling us to Him. He didn’t stay in that grave, but rose from it and lives forevermore. We believe Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.

Christ’s death and resurrection redeems us from sin and death allowing us to be reunited with God. He defeated sin and death upon that cross and gave us life through His resurrection. We believe that Christ descended, rose from the dead, and is alive forevermore.

This is the crux of the Gospel. This is the whole point of everything we read in Scripture and in the lives we experience. This should give us hope and peace in our lowest moments and highest moments. This should inspire us to tell other people that hope exists and it is found in Jesus Christ the One who saved us from our sins. We should shout it from the mountain tops because we believe in Jesus Christ who suffered, was crucified, died and buried. Let us make no mistake about this miracle. This was not just another birth skewed in legend. This is not some weird or disgusting Zeus-like event. This is the miracle of God invading and intervening on our behalf beginning the fight for mankind’s redemption. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Set List: 10,000 Reasons - Matt Redman Even So Come - Kristian Stanfill I Surrender - Hillsong Worship

Just as Peter is willing to defy kings and false gods to place his faith in Christ, we must be willing to declare the Truth of Christ to all. We must recognize that Jesus is the unique Son of God coexisting eternally with God the Father. We must accept him as Lord, as God, not only over heaven and earth but our personal lives as well. We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord. Worship: Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies) - Christ Tomlin Love Came Down - Kari Jobe One Thing Remains - Jesus Culture
