What you become is determined by how you see yourself. Learning to believe in your self is one of life’s most important battles Self-image is determined at an early age and is hard to undo. It’s never too late to change your self-image

Message looking at the way God creates us all with two callings: a general calling that all have and a special calling for each individual human.
We face tremendous pressure in life to be Wonder-Woman or Wonder-man—but we’re not super heroes and end up burning out on the pressure we experience from without and within.

Pastor Mike uses a little different approach to teaching this morning by repeating a video that he used last week by the "Skit Guys" titled "God's Chisel" and adding in comments along the way to help us understand the process God uses to make us more Christ-like. It's vitally important for us to become more like Christ as we walk in faith and work out our own personal salvation. We must understand that God loves us and He has great things in store for us as we cooperate with Him in living a life for Him. However, there is much work to be done in the process. The question is are we willing to listen and then work?

How does God see you? How do you see yourself? Are you the Masterpiece God sees you as? If not you need to listen to this message and be encouraged. God sees us differently then we see ourselves most of the time. He can see through the sin and the junk in our lives and sees the potential He created us to be. The question is are we willing to accept Jesus and then allow God through the power of the Holy Spirit to "chisel" us to be the Masterpiece that He original created us to be?

For five weeks, we have been in a series called "vintage." Today, we stop to refresh ourselves on what that word means and how it applies to us as Christ-followers. In order for the label "vintage" to be rightfully applied, we must not only properly define it, but also seek Scripture to see how to live it out. This brings us to Paul's declaration in Ephesians 2:10, where he reminds us that as the receivers of God's redemptive grace, we become masterpieces, not made to be "antiques" kept in a case, or "retro" simply called to stick out, but so much more...we are called to be vintage.

When Jesus designed our Real Life for us he had in mind two things: Shape us to be who he called us to be, Empower us to do what he has called us to do. Moving forward over the next couple of months we are shifting our focus to the things God has called and empowered us to do! Did you know there are things that God wants to see happen, but they can only happen if you do them? This Sunday we will focus on Jesus' words in Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." What are these works? Why is it important I do them? What if I don't do them? This Sunday come be a part as we dive into this post-Easter conversation!
