Jace Ferguson is originally from Alberta, Canada, but now makes his home in Macao teaching and coaching at the International School of Macao. Over the past 16 years, his driving focus has been to develop excellence in students, athletes, teachers and schools by challenging traditional practices with innovative approaches and methods. He has earned his Master's of Science in Recreation and Sport Science with a concentration in the development of elite-level athletes through program development and planning. Ashley Jones has been involved in fitness and sports performance for more than 40 years. Jones has just completed his 30th preseason in professional sport and has worked across three professional sports (specifically in rugby) in four different continents throughout his career. He has held his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) since 1988 and was awarded the NSCA's Professional Coach of the Year in 2016. Zenia Wood is an exercise physiologist based in Brisbane, Australia. She is the founder of Swift Movement Academy, which prides itself on empowering individuals to self-manage their own injuries through movement education. Zenia specializes in exercise rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions to not only get people out of pain but get them back doing what they love better than before. She also runs both educational and business mentorship programs to help foster the development of health professionals who are looking to better themselves as clinicians, coaches and business owners. Kostas Chatzichristos is currently the Director of Performance at the Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow Basketball where he is responsible for player performance and rehabilitation. During his time with the team, he has led CKSA to two European Championships. Previously, Kostas acted as a strength and conditioning specialist for elite basketball teams in Australia and the U.S. He is also a co-founder of Performance22Lab, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation and performance center, located in his hometown Athens, Greece, specializing in training and treating athletes of all levels. A frequent speaker at international and national educational events, Kostas has also authored numerous articles in fitness publications, produced educational products for coaches, consulted sports federations and select teams on player athletic development and is the acting Director of the newly founded Euroleague Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (ESCCA). He holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of Athens and a master's degree in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. This week's guest is Jacinta Mattingly, the Head of Performance at Randwick Rugby Club. She started her career in the rugby space with the Australian Women's 7s team, completed several internships and is now concurrently working as the National 7s Pathways Athletic Performance Coordinator. Outside of her rugby roles, Jacinta is a strength and conditioning coach at 4D Health and Performance, where she works with many talented athletes in various different sports, including track and field, judo, tennis and basketball. Donna Miller has been in the strength and conditioning industry for over 10 years and currently serves as the Head of S&C at Hunter Valley Grammar School. Throughout her career, Donna has worked with many sports teams, including Sydney Suburban Rugby Union, Shute Shield, NSW U16s Schools and North Sydney Bears. In addition, she has worked in the youth sector at Newington College and St Andrew's Cathedral School. Glen Pilcher is an ASCA Level 2 strength and conditioning coach with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. This week's guest is Grant Jenkins. Grant is an accredited exercise physiologist and holds the ASCA Level 3 certification, earning him the title of "Master Coach." Throughout his career, he has prepared athletes for a multitude of different sports and competitions, including the BMX World Championships, MTB World Championships, the U.S., French and Australian Opens, and The Championships at Wimbledon. Jeremy Hickmans is the Director of Performance for The Apex Project, which provides performance consultancy, education and support services to a number of athletes across a wide range of sports. He currently works with organizations like Swimming Australia, Papua New Guinea national rugby league team and the Brisbane Lions AFLW. He has been a High-Performance Manager within the NRL and international game for more than 14 years with a successful record leading elite multidisciplinary teams in the management and development of innovative physical preparation, such as medical and rehabilitation programs. Mark Booth is the Head of Sport Science at the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, an Australian professional rugby league club representing Sydney's Northern Beaches. He has 15 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, including working with the NSW Police Force, Parramatta Eels NRLW Club team and Manly women's basketball. In addition, he has seven years of experience as a sports scientist and sports dietitian for two national rugby league teams, as well as individual athletes in a variety of sports. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Sports Science, Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation, Masters of Strength and Conditioning, Masters of Nutrition/Dietetics and a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science. He has also attained national-level coaching accreditations in strength and conditioning, weightlifting, powerlifting, track and field and pilates.
Daniel is an 18-year veteran of the Australian Special Operations Command and has developed extensive experience in combat operations across multiple continents throughout his career. He has a passion for human performance and has developed human performance programs for Special Ops and elite sport. He is now focused on researching evidence-based practice for developing optimal behaviors to maximize accurate information processing, response selection and stress resilience in high-consequence, complex and adaptive environments. Daniel is an avid practitioner in testing physical and mental limits through varied competitions, including several of the world's toughest adventure races and extreme endurance events, completing both 550 and 750 km winter foot races across both the Yukon and Alaska. Along with his research, he currently works with elite athletes, special forces soldiers and executives to improve resilience, performance and decision-making under pressure, ultimately developing a high-performance culture.
Lachlan Wallace is the Founder and CEO of Virtus Performance, a holistic performance gym in Mornington, Victoria. Mike Bewley is the Global Director of Performance and Education at PLAE. Before joining PLAE, Mike coached more than 22 years in the United States at the Division I collegiate level. Most recently, he worked for Clemson University in South Carolina as the Director of Basketball Strength and Conditioning. During his time at Clemson, he helped lead the Tigers to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance - only the fourth in school history. Bewley is the creator and founder of DWMA Sports, which allows coaches to perform a movement in the same time it takes to do a dynamic warm-up. Bewley is also the president and founder of Critical Reload, a nutritional consulting and product company created to safely assist coaches and athletes with gaps in their nutrition. Critical Reload utilizes products in association with remote education and online learning to fill those gaps. Bewley is a Certified Specialist in Sports Nutrition. Nathan Parnham is the current Director of Strength and Conditioning at Brisbane Grammar School. His career spans close to two decades working in both amateur and professional sport, including setting up several successful high school athletic development programs throughout the country across both government and private school sectors. In doing so, he has proven his worth and versatility as one of the select few to not only progress into elite professional sport but also across both genders (NRL and Australia Women's 7s).
