I can tell you - I've been a stargazer for all my life. I've always been kept by the beauty of the cold and silvery light of the stars and I learned to tell them apart - in some cases. I've also wondered why I did. But it always felt good with the night wind in my hair and these lights up above. That is why I wrote this song which I first published in 2015. I hope you'll enjoy this episode. Further information on the artist's official website: www.markus-zosel.com

Thank you so much and God Bless.
From time to time I do wonder how all of this started: an eleven year old with a guitar he learned to play. And all of a sudden there was the need to write, to express very own thoughts and a frame of mind that began to look out for a world that seemed to be waiting somewhere out there in the unknown. That boy worked hard and tried to share all of the ways that seemed possible to him and out of his passion for marine biology came a much greater passion for music and the word on a blank page that longed for being sung or being written down between all of the pages of a book that also came from his hands. And somehow there have always been those who listen to his songs or read the pages he had filled with words. That is so amazing and wonderful and also hard to explain - it really is…
Today's show might arouse the interest of the musician - als well as the interest of the writer. So let me take you there. All you have to do is ease back and enjoy. Find more information on Markus Zosel on the official website: www.markus-zosel.com

Welcome back! Today we'll be taking a closer look at the little things when it comes to talking about living an artistic life. Now, let's go for it!
All of the inspiration to this song came from documentary about the life of Liberace. In fact, I never heard of him before - just the name there and then. But now I learned about the way he rose to stardom, the way he played the piano and the way all the people turned to or away from him. That was very impressive. And that is why the piano has such a leading role at the beginning and throughout this song, because after watching the documentary I ended up sitting in front of my own piano writing this song. I really did. Enjoy this episode and you'll find the song on the album "Shadow Play" (released in June 2023) on all major online streaming and download services.
The Mountains' Crusade. A little into the mystic again. This episode and song is surely not about knights in medieval times, of course not. It's about today - and it's about you. And most of all it is about what being among the mountains at dusk is able to offer to you.
Having you here with me is a pleasure and that is why we are going to talk about the future today. In most of the episodes we dealt with things that occurred in the past. Now we're looking ahead. Just come along to find out a bit more. The song was taken from the current album MYSTICA which you can find on any of the major streaming- and download services online. More information: www.markus-zosel.com

You know that I sing songs, I write the songs and I am writing books. And you know that I am teacher. This is what I do to earn a living. Education is a topic that takes a lot of space in m every day life and I've always felt very privileged that I have the opportunity to teach, to pass along knowledge to the young - which is quite wonderful, I think. Ten years ago I started to write a novel which dealt with the matters of education in an old university town which is settled close beside a lovely river. That's where the name »Lahnufer« came from and this is where the start today.
Welcome back to this episode which took a little longer to publish. That is because of a very busy time. Making a living sometimes needs all attention and does not leave any chance for the things you'd love to do instead. But this is episode 54 and I hope it'll be the one you're about to like. So, let's get right into it now.
Have you ever received the gift of a song for yourself? No? No problem at all, because this one, yes, this one right here is for you and its comes from all of my heart along with the wish to make you smile and to brighten up your day for a little while. That's all it wants to aim. And maybe, yes, maybe - it'll stay in your heart. Find more information on the website of the artist: www.markus-zosel.com
Most of my songs are in English. I love this language and it has always been a door to all communication on an international scale and I am very grateful for this essential reason. But from time to time I find myself in the mood and the need to express myself in the language which is the one I learned first - my native tongue. This song is a good example for what I am talking about.
I bet you got these spaces yourself. Some kind of hiding place you need from time to time to refill you personal battery or refresh your spirit when it needs to be refreshed. A labour day can be long and such places should be not too far away from your home so that you got the chance to get there fairly quick. That's what I am talking about today. The song "Cafe in the Woods" is taken from the album DUSK ARISING (released in 2018). You can find it on Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, etc.
Welcome back this is Episode 50 (!) and we're right into the Easter Season. So, a Happy Easter everybody and welcome back to this show. Today we are going to talk about a song I published almost exactly 3 years ago. It was an album called VOYAGE and it was released on April 3rd, 2020. You find one song with the name »I Love You« on this album and that is the tune we are going to take closer look at today. So, let's get right into it!
Welcome back to episode 49 of this podcast. I hope you'll enjoy this one as all the others before. It's all about the way I found for my writing. No matter whether we're talking about literature or music. So, let's get right into it now…
Welcome back to the new episode of this podcast. I think you're about to enjoy this one, because today's episode will be about all the things that could be, but we're not sure about that. Let's see what this might be in the minutes to follow.
Welcome back. Today's episode will be about a very intense feeling we all know. I'm sure about that. It is about missing someone you lost some year before on the road to this place that you call present now. And from time to time you thoughts wonder back and keep on wishing. What, if suddenly you would have the chance to meet this person again - and smiling…?
Maybe you're a musician who tries hard to write the songs of your life, maybe you're an author who has to believe in yourself because no-one else does the way you do. That is alright and it's good that you keep on going all the way - on and on. But no matter who you are and no matter what you do. At a certain point you'll be driven to name things, after creating something you gotta give it a name. And that is not always easy and that is what this episode will be about in the minutes to follow.
There's magic in the moments shortly before something happens. There's something that keeps us wordless, lack of expression and astonished when looking at it. It's the moments shortly before a concert, shortly before we're about to meet somebody or the seconds before something big is going to happen. You know this kind of tension, I'm sure about that. And this is what this episode is about. The name of the song is "Like a Stranger" and it's taken from the 2019 album "OTHERWISE" More information on the work of the artist: www.markus-zosel.com
Season's Greetings! This is episode 44: A Holiday Special with Sheila Alderson, singer and dear friend from the north of England. Credits of the songs chosen from the Christmas Album: "Mary's Boy Child" (Hairston) / "Little Town of Bethlehem" (Brooks & Redner) / "Amazing Grace" (Neweton/ Rees) / "Away in a Manger" (Traditional) / "I Wish You" (Zosel) The Christmas album was published in 2005 on CD. Last night snow fell. It sounds so simple but it also offers a little bit of magic that goes along with it. Early Morning snow is kind of special. Because it appears when you get up early and it is about to disappear within the first half of the day. It's fragile and lovely to look at because it decorates the outside beautifully and that way it is able to decorate your own heart for the start right into your day...
Today's show will be about the two instruments you just heard: the acoustic guitar and the piano. Both are instruments that would work all alone and for themselves. You can play classical guitar and there is nothing you would miss. You can also play the piano and everything is fine. Right. But in the field of songwriting both have an enormous power when recorded together to accompany a song. Why's that? Let's take look at it in the minutes to follow. Come on…!
For this episode I've chosen a track from the online album recovered. The name is »One for the Show«. The name of the episode is "One for the vine..." - why's that? We'll find out and I tell you in the following minutes In life there are so many things to find us or it's us to find all the things on our way. But you are as professional as I am by looking at it and you've learned that it's mostly the simple and little things in life that matter - they really do.
