Men of a Certain Age on Alignment vs. Resistance Episode 75 By now y'all know that the MOACA podcast is labor of love. We record these episodes as much for us as for you, our listeners. Our lives are busy between work, gigs, fitness, graduate programs, continuing education, family time, personal relationships- and after two-and-a-half years of a slowed down pace, the world has hit the fast forward function to (what feels like) two times the pace of what life was like pre-pandemic. Time is our most valued commodity ano how we utilize that time is something we have really been thinking about. Do your decisions line up with the goals you have set out for yourself or are you fighting to keep up? This episode we explore what it;s like when your choices are in alignment with the life you set out for and not in resistance to it. These are the chats that we enjoy so much and hope you do too Follow us on IG @moacapodcast @carlos.escanilla @carlos305music @jorgeisanchez

Chapter Five of “A New Earth” explores the “the pain body” and how the egoic mind can create both emotional and physiological responses to unchecked triggers. These ideas continue to build on themselves and as we continue our way through this book, what is becoming more and more clear is how much work there remains to be done (not to mention the fact that this is a moment to moment pursuit). Things get very real and very insightful this episode. Are any of you feeling any changes? Chapter Four of “A New Earth” explores the very many forms and roles the ego can manifest in our lives. This chapter has been fundamental in our awakening from living in an unconscious manner. Chapter Three of “A New Earth” dives deeper into the concept of “The Ego”. The chapter is crucial and foundational for the concepts ahead. If you feel like some of this stuff is hard to get, don’t worry, we've definitely had to re-read several parts of this chapter to understand Tolle's ideas. Stick with it and if anything - join us. We would love to have our listeners on the show to discuss some of these chapters, so if you’re interested please email us atmoacamedia@gmail.comFollow us on Instagram:@moacamedia @carlos.escanilla @carlos305music @jorgeisanchez
Chapter Two of “A New Earth” talks about the concept of “The Ego” , what it is, how it manifests, how to identify when it presents itself, etc. It’s a big concept grasp so don’t feel bad if you’re confused or not getting it (hint: that “feeling bad” part is just your ego). We would love to have our listeners on the show to discuss some of these chapters, so if you’re interested please email us at moacamedia@gmail.comFollow us on Instagram:@moacamedia @carlos.escanilla @carlos305music @jorgeisanchez

Hey there hi there hello everyone and welcome back to the MOACA MEDIA Podcast where we’ve been talking mad shit about anything and everything for what is now 39 episodes. It’s week 9 of the COVID-19 quarantine- a topic that continues to unfold in ways that neither of could anticipate, providing seemingly endless somehow pretty new events and topics to toss around the way that only Carlos & Jorge do.Follow us on Instagram@moacamedia @jorgeisanchez @carlos.escanilla_lmhc @carlos305musicFor all things MOACA MEDIA please visit us at moacamedia.com
Here at MOACA Media we will take any opportunity to make a direct Nirvana reference. It’s week 8 of COVID-19 quarantine life and a lot of us are still at home with our family. Tensions likely run higher than usual as our individual frustrations collide. Mood swings are like an amusement park ride- something that’s been referred to as being in the hell zone. Inevitably we do and/or say things that we have to apologize for. Making amends is hard, awkward, and often triggers a lot of anxiety. Jorge and Carlos swap stories of being on both sides of an apology and breakdown what it means to say “sorry”.
Week 7 of COVID-19 quarantine life has brought us to the inevitable topic of porn. We breakdown the taboos often related to pornography, cultural biases, hypocrisy, consumption, production, pitfalls and benefits. Many of us have found ourselves with a little more alone time and self-gratification is a likely conclusion (idle hands- am i right?). Jorge breaks down his foray into erotica as a form of self-expression and self-acceptance. Another one of our uniquely personal and unabashed conversations that separates our podcast from the rest of the noise. For all MOACA related content visit us online at MOACAMEDIA.COMFollow us on Instagram:@moacamedia@carlos.escanilla@carlos305music@jorgeisanchez
We’re in week 5 of the COVID-19 pandemic and what has become clear is that choices are having to be made as to the type of life you want to live now.We unpack all that this week with our guest- Juan “Frank” Miranda aka “The Grateful Artist” (@the_grateful_artist). Frank is a local artist, father, community leader, and most recently joined the ranks of the 21st century by sharing his works of art via social media. Jorge and Frank have been friends for over 15 years so it was very fun to introduce Carlos and all of you to this unique and truly inspiring MOACA.Be sure to visit our website Moacamedia.com for access to all our content.

Sharing our stories is a reminder to us that there is no one way to live a life, especially now while we all face week 3 of quarantines with no clear end date in sight. We talk all of that and more.Find us on Instagram@moacamedia@michaelmendez30@mendezfuel@jorgeisanchez@carlos.escanilla@carlos305music
The number of days we’ve been quarantined seem to vary from person to person. For the most part it’s been about two weeks. The dust is settling and new routine’s are being (or have been) formed. This week we discuss our new normal respectively. Carlos celebrated his 41st birthday. Jorge discovered wearing makeup is really hard. We’re just doing our thing best we can. As uncertain times continue to unfold we keep plugging away, adapting and pivoting with every change pace. Practicing social distancing creates a unique opportunity for us to have our first guest. The decision was to highlight those people in our lives who are also small business owners and to have them come on the show and have a chat with us and how they’re coping with this new place we’re all in.Danny Lopez-Calleja is the owner for Crossfit Soul and a near & dear friend of ours. He was both of our first choice as our inaugural guest and we’re so happy to have him on. Enjoy!IG@dannyxsoul@crossfitsoul@teamsoul@moacamedia@carlos.escanilla@carlos305music@jorgeisanchez

It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" is a song by American rock band R.E.M., which first appeared on their 1987 album “Document.”. It was released as a single in November 1987, reaching No. 69 in the US Billboard Hot 100. 34 years later it feels like the prefect soundtrack for 2020. But fret not, MOACA is here to help you course correct the crazy. Instagram @jorgeisanchez

We’re back after taking last week off to tend to some personal witness with our family. We sit back down on Carlos’s couch and catch each other up on what’s been happening as of late. Jorge gets introspective and Carlos guides along with his natural ability to be both empathetic and insightful. We’re in the middle of what seems like a metamorphosis- which tend to be violent and scary when you’re in.
