Every life experience requires us to interact with brands. The experiences I like to talk about are those that compose who I am like Faith, Food, Fitness, Fashion, Fatherhood, Fanboy and Free-styling my way through life. I'm committed to telling it how I see it, good, bad and ugly.

As a Black American, I get treated with Racism from Whites, Prejudice from the Black Community, because I don’t subscribe to the same political beliefs as I guess I am supposed to? Nonsense. The same rationale we as Blacks use to point the finger at Non-Blacks when they lump us into the same bucket and assume we have ill intent when we pass them on the street is the same rationale used to ostracize me because I think differently than the herd. Nevertheless, guess what? I am Black, yes and we come in a variety of emotional, political, spiritual, and societal shades of Black. I will not hurl an object through a store window in Switzerland but in no way does that discount the rage I feel over George Floyd, nor does it discount the racist encounters I have and will continue to experience the second I walk out the door living here in Europe. Wake up world. Racism is a heart issue. Don't believe me? Listen and learn.

Following my 25+ years in marketing, I stepped away from the corporate world and accepted a role as a stay at home dad and Principal Consultant in my own firm. This has given me an opportunity to really reflect on my life, what’s important, what’s not and the kind of legacy I want to leave. Talking about the things that matter to me will be one of the ways that I can share lessons learned and hopefully help someone that either struggles in one of these areas or just has questions about things that you might be afraid to talk about. Why these topics? Food because I'm an amateur chef thats passionate about all things food and consistently share what I'm cooking or eating on my Instagram itsmybrandlife. Faith is the backbone of who I am and an area I consistently try to integrate and understand the impact of in the world around me. Fitness has been a journey over the past four years, leaving America at 243 lbs and recently moving to Switzerland after a three year stint in Brussels where I dropped to 185 lbs. I embraced cycling, lifting and learned my body and how food impacts workouts and self image and also stress. Fatherhood is an area I get excited talking about because it encapsulates my biggest successes and failures to date. Lastly, I'm a gadget and gear hound. I buy the latest and greatest and constantly put it to the test, so can lend perspective to those that may not be savvy in this area.
