Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we begin a new series on 2001's Pikmin. We set the game in its time and then spend a lot of time talking about putting Nintendo's spin on the RTS on a console. Noi già che c'eravamo abbiamo deciso di fare questo esperimento sociale per cui abbiam messo il gioco in mano a quella fogna di Garagegamer (che è quello delle 700+ ore su Baldur's Gate 3 e delle fin troppe su Skyrim) e l'abbiamo interrogato. Seguono considerazioni sparse concentrate in un'oretta e mezza di episodio extra.

Os RPGs japoneses surgiram fortemente influenciados por títulos de mesa como "Dungeons & Dragons", mas rapidamente ganharam personalidade própria. We that remain will do our best.Chamberlain hates what he thought he would like, tolerates but eventually abandons what he thought he would hate, gets emotionally involved with a 4 legged lighthouse, then settles in with Ninja Gaiden 4, a game so difficult he can only play it sober. And Chance can't find a place to be comfortable, stating at least two play throughs of Resident Evil 4, one of Baldur's Gate 3 and even a multiplayer session of Ghost of Tsushima before giving up and just watching movies. 2025 may have peaked.

Welcome to Supply Lines, a running feature here on TMP where the dorks will be looking at resource management in games. What games? All games, because Chewie is convinced that they're all just different styles of resource management dressed up in genre pants. This is the second Supply Lines episode, after starting with Magic: The Gathering (for obvious reasons) in episode 723. For this one we decided to go to one of the most hardcore examples of resource management in games, Dungeons & Dragons! Chewie has been playing Baldur's Gate 3 and the other dorks actually play D&D, so they've all got stuff to say. This episode focuses on all the resources you have to manage for character creation, which is surprisingly a lot to the point it can be absolutely overwhelming to new players. We'll discuss every aspect of it we can think of and cover why the limitations and restrictions are good actually. Along the way we'll get sidetracked several times, as is our wont. However, back in Episode 5 is when we do this first mention and where our mission on the podcast was to bring awareness to board games beyond those found at big box stores. That was on February 12, 2013. Time marches on and we find ourselves with a new entry using the Pandemic system with the LOTR: Fate of the Fellowship. Mr. Leacock has done an incredible job with this one. In my opinion, this brings the base goodness of the Pandemic series to the LOTR world and then ramps it up a few notches. To be honest, it might be a little too hard at times. But who cares, play it again and think of the feeling you will have when you destroy the ring. We also have some slight dissension in the ranks at RDTN where one does like a game as much as someone else and we have a solid discussion on why. This doesn't mean that the game isn't good, just that there is a difference of opinion on what some people like versus what others like. The Wondrous Museum is an engine builder that plays very fast and has solid decision making for which cards to play and how to use the runes that activate the cards. Leaders if a two person duel game that shrinks down the board to where players are using special moves by their champions to allow them to capture the other person leaders. Your champions are never removed from the board, so it is all about positioning while maintaining a solid defense for your leader.
