In this message we focus on the greatest miracle God has performed. The supernatural miracle of the new birth is the life of God in the soul of man. Listen as we compare the physical birth with the spiritual birth.
"Prone to wander, Lord I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love" is a line from one of the most famous hymns "Come thou fount of every blessing". This is a phrase that we all at times are too familiar with. It is also the key to overcoming temptation. James cautions us about wandering from God because it is when we are distant from God that we are most vulnerable to giving in to temptation. You can overcome temptation when you are intentionally walking in close fellowship to God!
Philippians 3:13-14As followers of Christ, we should always be pressing forward to become more like Jesus. Many Christians are too focused on looking backwards at their past than they are looking forward to their future. Their past is holding them in bondage and preventing them from reaching their potential and becoming the person God is calling them to be. The good news is that no matter what you have done, it is possible to break free from the power of your past and live in victory!
John 20:30-31John writes a beautiful statement at the end of John chapter 20 that sums up the entire book in a powerful and climactic way!But then he goes on to write one more chapter. John chapter 21 is a chapter of restoration for a disciple that thought he ruined everything. You may be in a chapter of ruin in your life but you can be encouraged that God is not through with your story. He has a chapter of restoration waiting for you!
In this message we focus on the "Stages of Temptation"Nobody ever woke up one day and decided to ruin their life. It is usually a process that has multiple stages. Listen in as we learn about the stages of temptation that way we can recognize and resist temptations we face in life.
Many times we go through life as believers with the wrong perspective of life. We live with a worldly perspective that focuses only on the physical and temporary when we need to live with a heavenly perspective focusing on the spiritual and eternal. In this message we see three truths to live with an eternal pespective.
The average person has 35,000 decisions to make every day. We need wisdom to make the right decisions in life. The good news is that God has promised to give us wisdom if we would ask Him.
We all go through trials of life, but we must understand that they are for a purpose. We have an opportunity to grow in our faith through the trials we face. Listen as we discover three essential truths to remember when going through trials.
We see the background and context of the Epistle of James. Who is James? Who is he writing to? What is the purpose or main theme of this book?
John 13:1The greatest legacy you can leave behind to your family, friends, and loved ones is a legacy of love. We see in this passage of Scripture the great example Jesus gave us as He knew His hour had come to be crucified. He loved His disciples unto the end. What a great statement to be made of a life before death!
Do you suffer from the "elder brother" syndrome? We see here the most overlooked and main objective of the parable Jesus taught about the two lost sons.
This parable that we call the prodigal son is really about the steadfast unconditional love of the Father for his two sons, which points to the love God has for us.
A study of the parable of the Prodigal son focusing on the younger brother Luke 15
Overview of the parable of the Prodigal Son. Luke 15
Are you discouraged? Do you feel defeated? Do you feel that your life is beyond being in a place of encouragement? When we find ourselves feeling discouraged, we can look at the example of David and see that no matter how bad things may seem, how alone we may be, or how hopeless our situation is, we can be encouraged as believers in Christ. When you have nobody there to encourage you, then you must learn to do what David did and encourage yourself in the Lord!I hope this message is a blessing and an encouragement to you. If it is, then please share and subscribe.
Many times, we emphasis the truth that Jesus is alive only on Easter Sunday when we should celebrate and worship Him every day because we have a Savior that ever lives! In this sermon we see three benefits of the fact that Jesus is still alive. If this sermon is an encouragement to you, please share and subscribe.
I Corinthians 5:7-8Exodus 12:1-13As we celebrate "Good Friday" we must remember that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Passover lamb that we see in Exodus chapter 12.
