What happened to the men that were called to lead? Has the Lord put out an APB on you and maybe some other men that you know? The call to leadership should not be taken lightly, especially Godly leadership. Regardless of how we may see it, everything comes down to the choices or decisions we make. Will you choose to be the man that God has called you to be? Pastor Crawford Loritts out of Roswell, Georgia, challenges us all in episode 84. Be blessed!
What's your focus as you walk into this work week? I pray that you won't be robbed, distracted, or taken by surprise with the things that the old enemy may throw at you. The busyness of life can sometimes seem to snuff out our hope of peace and joy, but the servant's heart moves forward with purpose. May the Lord grant you His vision in service this week so that His blessings may flow, your purpose may become more evident, and that you can be reassured of His presence.
When we think of the beginning of the year,2020, we may remember all of the exciting messages that went out for what God had in store. Now that we are heading to the end of the year, we just can't help but notice that something doesn't match up. Senior Pastor of Fielder Church in Arlington, Texas, Jason Paredes stops by to encourage us to look upon God with an expectant heart, to remain optimistic and hopeful. God is still doing great things, so our perspective must open up if we are ever going to see His goodness! Pastor Jason describes his own experiences with fasting as a way of a longing to hear from God. Can we say that we long for the same thing in such a time as this?
We all seem to look for the certainties and the assurances in the call of God. To be honest, we would probably much rather hear from Him through a text or phone call. However, God does give us truths that we can fix our hearts upon so that we may continue moving forward in the right direction. Charlie Houck is a church planter headed to San Diego, California, a vision that the Lord gave him so long ago. Listen in and hear how God has guided his steps along the way to plant Cause Church.
One of the marks of a surrendered life is the desire to see it in others. Pastor Kevin Bailey has been redeemed in the Lord and has a burning desire to see others experience God in the same way that he has, if not more. A true servant of the Lord, he has found himself with an opportunity to serve others along the way. Discipleship, serving, and fellowship remains key to his heart as he finds himself in awe of what the Lord has done for him in his life. Giving our lives is truly the Christian way of life!
In life, we grow according to our own will and way. If we dare line it up to what the Lord has for us, we shall see a better day. It may not always seem as such right off, but God"s way will always prove to be beneficial. However, we seem to have a better way made up in our own minds when things aren't looking so good. It's in these times that we must avoid the same old way of doing things. Proverbs 26:11 says that a dog returns to his own vomit, and so a fool to his own folly.
In order to experience God in an unexplainable way, one just has to go and serve in an area that they may feel led. Our guest today, Jim Hampton comes to share some of his own experiences in serving and what that has done for him over the years. God has surely given him a brand new perspective on what discipleship truly means. Join us as Jim talks about the richness of serving others in Christ.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Mark Victor Hansen, Robert G Allen, and Zig Ziglar, Bill Barnett has tasted his fair share of success. However, he has also faced his fair share of challenges and disappointments. Through it all, he has relied heavily on his faith. As a Texas real estate investor, he understands the temptations and challenges of being all-in on the business, but he encourages a well-balanced focus on the relationships that matter the most.
In the midst of chaos, who still dares to show some compassion? It seems to be a long lost, basic fundamental element of the American way. We know how to care for one another, but sometimes it will take us getting a little bit uncomfortable. I encourage you to listen in as Dr. Nathanial Hearne shares the way back to being a nation of hope.
How many families do you know that are impacted by incarceration? One of the toughest things that a former felon can face is learning how to understand that God can forgive them. Once the Lord forgives, no one can take it away. Jay Dan Gumm comes to share his story today about being given a new assignment from the Lord. He, the Lord, made sure that Jay would understand the complete forgiveness he was given.
When we think of ministry, we may have different ideas about what that may look like. Rob Decker, a personal fitness trainer, has a deep love for the Lord and uses that love to reach people from all walks of life. Although he uses his physical as a conduit for ministry, it's his spiritual that drives his "why." Behind the scenes, though, he's an everyday man going through what any or all of us may be going through; raising children, learning to be a better husband, or just working on a daily basis. Join us now for an authentic conversation behind the scenes with Rob Decker of Kingdom F.I.T.
As the Church finds itself, along with others, in a new season, the mandate to be more flexible is more and more evident. Dr. Gary Comer's book ReMission addresses the importance of relational work for the Church in it's active "going out" to make disciples of all nations. To be honest, we all need a little help in understanding one another, and that is exactly what Dr. Comer brings to the table; a game plan for "The Great Commission."
Contrary to popular belief, we are not called to live our lives in isolation or separation from non-believers. It may be easier or more convenient, but the will of God would be for us to shed light on a dark world. Who are our neighbors? Why is it so hard to get to know each other? Do you know what is stopping you? Press & Reach
Making decisions, praying for guidance, and ultimately, trusting God will not always be easy. However, it does equate to the work of every follower of the Lord, Jesus Christ. In life, we all go through many storms, but we must recall that storms do not last. They come and go, but our faith must remain unwavering. Will it be hard? Absolutely. The good news is that God gives us a word to hang on to, no matter what. Be encouraged, and whatever you do, don't jump off the ship. Press and Reach

If you ever wanted to know what it looks like when we are all in, then look no further than Chaplain Nate Hearne. From a difficult childhood of facing adversity often, Chaplain Hearne learned to turn the disadvantages into the advantages. Taking what life delivered and growing stronger as he went. From poverty and a sense of hopelessness, he learned to encourage the youth to press on. As an assistant coach at Permian High School, he became a part of the infamous MOJO crew of Friday Night Lights. Without a doubt, they experienced great success, but listen in as Chaplain Hearne tells us how that old secular success is a trap and why living for the Lord is the true success.
What causes us to come up with an excuse? Often times we hear more about what we can't do rather than the things that we can do in Christ. The mind remains to be a battlefield and that's why the scripture reminds us to continually renew our minds. The fact of the matter is that we don't want to be mere hearers of the word but doers of the word. God has already given us all that we need when it comes to life and Godliness. So how do we actively walk out what we know? The first step is to simply acknowledge something isn't right. It's amazing how much changes in our lives once we admit that we aren't doing so well in a certain area. Stand up, admit the truth and ask God for the help. We are more than conquerors in Christ who loves us.
With a song always on his heart, our next guest, Matt Fawcett comes forth to share his story. Learning to trust the Lord has been an ongoing practice for him since he was just a youngster. However, when Matt was challenged with some real-life issues it was his faith that helped him to stand. Stay with what you know to be true and do not waver. God is just, God is true and God is faithful. Hear about the blessing that Matt and his wife received while remaining faithful in one of the most difficult times in their lives.
When facing addiction, one may think there's just no way out. However, God still makes a way for all to come, but we will have to come. Our next guest, brother Rick Norton shares his testimony about how God saw him through. At such a young age Rick's life seemed to be over, facing a legal case that would surely send him away to prison for an awfully long time. You may have heard it said that God is never late and always right on time. This was certainly the case for my friend, Rick Norton. He found himself on his knees asking God to help him. When this surrender came, so did a brand new life and chance to live life. Join us today as Rick tells us about the Sobering grace of God.
Evidence for Jesus Christ is not that hard to find. Though many have spent a lifetime looking to prove Jesus as a conspiracy, nobody has ever succeeded. When our guest today, J.Warner Wallace did his own research, he used a method not common to many. Jim is a proven cold case detective who has helped to solve many cold case murders. You may have seen him as an expert witness on the movie "God's Not Dead 2", but the truth is he was simply being himself. Join us today as J. Warner Wallace shares with us the evidence for Jesus Christ. As an apologist, his answer for his belief is simple; I'm a Christian because it's evidentially true.
I know that along the way in any great endeavor, we may grow weary or tired. Sometimes it may seem like there is no reason to continue, but be assured that obstacled are common along the way. They are not only common, but necessary. These are the things t

join us today, as we hear part two of our visit with Nathan Tabor. After making a deccision to do it God's way, Nathan describes some of the steps that he took along the way. One of the things that stands out for us all as we make the turn is the effect that it has on others around us. Jordan, Nathan's wife, is certainly no exception as she looked on with concern. As Nathan continues along with his walk of faith, he makes every effort to give back and sew seeds of compaassion along the way. There is always time for reflection and opportunity to get better, but he makes it a point to walk out his faith with intent. Listen in for part 2, with Nathan Tabor.
Success was always sweet to him. At the young age of 40, he was certainly enjoying the fruits of his labor. As a hard-working Christian entrepreneur, he managed to parlay his God-given business acumen, natural tenacity, and technological savvy into a bevy of business interests that generated hefty profits and a positive cash flow. He owned 7 apartment complexes (399 units), a car lot and a consulting company. All of them had been profitable business enterprises over the years. So, to all outward appearances, he was living the American Dream, and he relished that superficial image of glamorous prosperity. However, on the inside, Nathan was being troubled beyond understanding and simply needed to deal with the issue. Listen in as Nathan Tabor talks about making a decision to do it God's way.
There is no doubt that we all look for another chance at something. Whether it was something that we wish we could do all over again or just a better way of handling a past event, we look back at times with regret. However, that regret or remorse should not take away from our worth or value. In this episode, you will hear from Joe Daughtery, a minister who has set out to love people through it all and point them back in the Lord's direction. Joe spent time struggling with drug addictions, and because of it, felt the condemnation of the world. After a long bout of unforgiveness in his heart, Joe finds himself victorious in Christ Jesus. He has gone on to connect and work with different employers throughout the DFW Metroplex area to bring forth job fairs which would include opportunities for all. Join us today as Joe shares his heart.

What does it take to be an encouragement to someone else? Do you have to be trained? We believe that God teaches us as we go along the way, for the God of comfort, comforts us so that we too will do the same. Today's guest, Terron Nelson will be sharing some of his own story and missteps that he has taken along the way. Furthermore, he will share how God re-directed his path so that he could help others as well. One of the biggest things that we can learn how to do is to let go and stop harboring unforgiveness in our heart. Terron will share how he truly learned how to let go and start filling his own mind with positivity. Suddenly a weight is taken off our backs when learning how to forgive and move forward.
Sometimes we go the long way around, but God still sees us through. Not a moment is really wasted when we find out how God has used things all along for His own glory. On today's episode, we hear from Pastor Kevin Bailey who comes out of Oak Cliff, Texas to share a part of his own journey back into the will of God. He's a dear friend and pastor whom I love and thank God for always. Our next guest, Robert Wallace shares his story with us today on how God brought him from unbelief to full-blown belief and love for God. He has spent quite a bit of his life paying the price for things that he has done. After coming to know the Lord, he expresses remorse for how he has led others down the wrong path. However, Robert knows that his call is to now go and tell all about the one who has saved him and called him home. Join us now on episode #49, for an interview with my good friend Robert Wallace.

With so many resources available to us today, the one that we most often neglect is the people that God surrounds us with. First, we find ourselves seeking the truth in search and study, then we look to see examples of the faith life. Well, God never fails to show us through his very own faithful servants. He puts so many people around us that most often we find ourselves simply curious, but if we would just take it a step further and ask then we may just find what we seek. Truly the Lord wants us to receive the support that He provides us with along the way. We find that we are not the only ones going through life with questions or concerns but there are plenty of others that do the same. As we go, we grow and other people are part of our journey along the way. We can always tell by the fruit they display and we will naturally be drawn in because of their love for the Lord. However, we must also be willing to go and trust others as well. Join us as we define who the dream team is.

Has it ever crossed your mind that anger seems to come out of nowhere? With recent comments found online about people stating that they have no patience and get angry easily, we find it appropriate to touch base on such the topic of patience. Make no mistake about it, God desires us to have patience; however, when patience runs low, we are all at risk. The good news is that the Lord has given us all the help we need through the Holy Spirit. Listen in on how the three I's seem to always have it. Interruptions, Inconveniences, and of course Irritations seem to make their way through the normal course of our workday, but they are not always a bad thing. We look to the opportunity rather than the challenge. Join us as well address everyone's favorite topic of Patience.

You see, John has the seed of compassion deeply rooted in his soul and has been caring for others ever since he was just a kid growing up in a small town in southeast Texas. The challenge is right up his alley. Come listen in and learn how overcoming obstacles has simply changed his perspective on the way he wants to serve others.
There is no doubt in my mind that God changes hearts and minds as He goes. Of course, we don’t always get the wonderful opportunity of seeing it happen in others as much as we would like. However, we remain confident in the sowing of seed. We call this process the process of transformation, where the hearts and minds of those who truly seek the Lord are being changed. Often people question the true conversion of others because of all that they may have seen in the past; however, the Lord makes all things new ; new mind, anew heart, and of course, a new way. Have you ever looked at someone and doubted the possibility of change? I know that I have before I was reminded that I too was once in opposition with God. The scripture states that yet even as we were sinners He died for us on a cross. This is the part that I believe that we often overlook or maybe even tend to forget. However, with a short meditation on this word, we should recall the desire of God that all would come to repentance and be saved. So, is that our desire? If we are His, and we are, then we should line our desires up with His. So what helps us to believe on the power of God when it comes to someone else? Well, one of the things that I think of most often is testimony. If we are in touch and contact with people, then it doesn’t take long before we can find an opportunity to share a testimony of what God has done in our lives. The funny thing is that God is always increasing our testimony, and more than likely we can testify along the lines of anybody’s current situation or circumstance. The bible teaches us that God comforts, so than n the time of need we may do the same for someone else. Also, prayer is more powerful than I think we sometimes realize. If we are praying for the salvation of someone, then we are simply lining up to the will of the Father. This would be nothing but a plus for us as we go forward. Remember that God tells us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares about us. Probably the most left out detail of all is belief. We are to believe on the power of God and what He can do in the lives of all. After all, the scripture reminds us that with God all things are possible. Come one over to www.pressandreach.com/pr43 and let us know what obstacles you had to overcome in dealing with others.
The basic foundation of anything built must always be built with caution, integrity, intent, and purpose. As a Christian family, we desire to line up our objectives and goals with the way of the Lord. How would Jesus have us do it? What’s important in the household growing up tends to resurface as important down the road for us all. Whether we go through growing pains as a family or we go through growth as a family, we must move together as one. We know and understand that things won’t always be perfect, but we also know that we don’t have all the time in the world. We have X amount of years to raise our children with a strong Christian family foundation. It’s always comforting to see examples of families on TV that pray together, work together, and stay together as a family as they walk through life. The truth and reality behind it all are that it will never just be simple because of all the challenges that life has to offer. With that being said, what do we look for in order to set up the foundations of the family? Incorporating as much application as possible in the lives of our families is paramount. The scripture states that we must be not mere hearers of the Word but doers of the Word, which means to apply it and walk it out. What are the basic fundamentals that we can focus on? Well, the first thing I always go back to is the Word of God. You see it’s hard to apply what we don’t know. Engaging in studying the Word is crucial for any family that wishes to follow the Lord and do it His way. Our faith is always grown by doing it God’s way, even when we don’t fully understand it, for I reminded of the verse that states trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Next is prayer life. In all actuality, I probably have the first two in reverse order. Pray and then Do. Prayer in our families indicates that we collectively trust the Lord in all His ways. Incorporating prayer brings a sound joy to the lives of our children. Has your child ever asked you to pray for them? Furthermore, what age did they ask to lead with prayer? Last but certainly not least is sowing the seeds of time with one another. Some may call it building memories but we must cherish the time we have together, for we don’t have forever to get this foundation down as a Christian family. What are some of the things that you implement as a family? Is there something that you won’t go without? What about coming up as a child, do you remember a must that was instilled in your family? Connect with us on www.pressandreach.com and let us know.
Every once in a while we all get to a point in our Christian walk where we may find it difficult to focus. Often we hear the question of “how do I get closer to God spiritually?” If we get to this point and we will at some point or another, we have to remember that something has caused us to veer off from the path. So when people ask me how to get back I usually run down somewhat of a path. First things first; pray. In other words, seek the Lord in this time with an earnest heart. I like to revert back to a scripture Ps.24:3 which ask the question of who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord as well as stand in that Holy place? The answer is in in the same passage stating that one with a pure heart and clean hands will do so. This brings us to the point of confession to the Lord. Something may have us separated when we simply can’t be at peace with the Lord for the moment and we need to go and find out what that might be. So, open dialogue in prayer is just one of the best ways to get started to getting back on track. Diving into the Word will certainly be the next order of business, for it makes me think of how often we forget that life is found in the Word of God. The scripture states that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword and able to discern our thoughts and intentions of the heart. There are so many different ways for us to get a Word into our hearts now-a-days that we are truly left without excuse. The first would be to simply open up and the bible and ask God to assist you in the reading and understanding. However, because we are all different, there are different ways that we may go about getting a Word. Because we all have questions regarding our very own walk from time to time, I believe that writing things down becomes extremely beneficial. Some may keep a prayer journal, but maybe just a journal of what’s going on in your life at the moment. Again, we are all different and do things differently when it comes to journaling our own thoughts. All these things simply comprise a quiet time that we should all consider a viable part of our own walk. When it comes to getting closer to God spiritually, we must move with intent in order to get back to that place. Let us know some of the things that you may do for a great quiet time on www.pressandreach.com
It would be awesome to simply be motivated upon every turn in life, so that we could overcome all that comes up against us. Motivational Monday has a great ring to it but if we don’t have a true understanding of life, then that old motivational speech will get us to lunch time at best. Personally I think motivation is great but if we don’t put anything behind what we are motivated in, then what’s the purpose? I’ve heard people place their hope in great motivational speakers and really life them up and place then upon an untouchable pedestal. However, may I simply ask this question? What do you do when they are not speaking in your ear? Will you move into purpose? Will you stand with an understanding of who you are? Will you have more than enough to get you by in life for the day? Often times people struggle for not knowing or understanding what they are really looking for. Some seek happiness in a relationship with someone that they think will bring them into full happiness, but we know that never works. Others seek purpose and fulfillment in their business or their job, but after years of disappointment, they find out that it was truly of no avail. It seems like this is a pattern for years to come until we become hopeless in our pursuit. Amongst friends and family I can simply ask questions that lead to uncovering their hope. When I find that someone doesn’t have that answer, it makes me wonder why we have got so far away from the truth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. After all, he suffered, died, and was buried for our sins so that we would have eternal life. Believing on and in Christ seems to be too simple but why will we look everywhere else as if our lives depended upon it? It seems too easy to be true but the power of the Holy Spirit in us teaches us how to have better relationships, a better business, a better understanding of finances, and simply how to have a better life of peace. The scripture points out that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, and that knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Prov. 9:10). This really means that we begin to have reverence for who God really is, then we begin to get on the right track. Furthermore, when we have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, we gain understanding. This should be enough to excite anyone. So it leaves me to this one question. Do you have knowledge of the Holy One. In other words, do you have a relationship with Christ yet, if not, then what are you waiting for? Make sure to visit us on www.pressandreach.com
