Most believers are familiar with the "Great Commission," but many of us also feel ill-equipped to successfully share our faith with unbelieving friends and neighbors. Today we speak with author (and MB convention speaker!) Gary Comer to hear his success stories of how he speaks with his atheist and Muslim friends, and practical tools we can use to become more effective "influencers" for Jesus in our day-to-day lives.

E13 Desire Is the Ability to Convince Yourself You Will Have It |IBGR | Donna Kunde, Londina Cruz & Michael Pope Jr. “Somewhere in the journey to faith is the heart's desire." Gary Comer, Soul Whisperer Can you imagine yourself living the life you choose, having the things you want and being with the people you desire? Until we can see it in our mind, we will never have it in the real world. The successful application necessary to convince yourself you will have it calls for sufficient imagination. Lukewarm desire brings about lukewarm results. Use your imagination to fan the flames of desire until you actually believe you will possess it. Gold Nuggets in this Episode: “Interestingly” is, in fact, a word. Juliet is interestingly excellent. “The only thing that people really respond to in the mail, is something you could eat.” “We guarantee our customers that we will delivery them a 10% success ratio.” “There's a misconception among entrepreneurs that you only go out of business because there's not enough business.” Cheryl's Win-Win-Win philosophy: is this a Win for my customer? Will it be a Win for their target audience? Will it be a Win for Idea Factor? “The time that I was being the technician was zapping my energy to pour into it the entrepreneurship which was really where I belong.” “We have a process behind everything, not visible to our clients, but very visible to us. What's happened since we've done that is we have a precision effort to every campaign that we launch.” “For years I often said certain things were difficult for me because I couldn't tap into the Old Boys' network.” “If you don't understand your goal, you can't create a path to get to it.” “I already know what my legacy is going to be, and it's what I always wanted. That is to pass over the reigns of Idea Factor to another female entrepreneur. I'm excited that it's not only a female entrepreneur, but also a woman of colour.” “Worry about being better, and bigger will take care of itself.” - Gary Comer   Our guest is Cheryl Cappellano, Founder and CEO of The Idea Factor, Inc. Cheryl has over 20 years of experience in the industry, dedicating her time especially to cultivating relationships with customers. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, she was nominated as Royal Bank of Canada's Female Entrepreneur of the Year, she was a Burlington Chamber of Commerce Finalist in Business Excellence in 2013 and 2017, won the Business Excellence Award in 2018, and she is a member of the World Wide Association of Female Professionals. She is a regular public speaker on topics ranging from marketing to advertising, and she shares her wealth of knowledge with others through her mentorship initiatives. As the Church finds itself, along with others, in a new season, the mandate to be more flexible is more and more evident. Dr. Gary Comer's book ReMission addresses the importance of relational work for the Church in it's active "going out" to make disciples of all nations. To be honest, we all need a little help in understanding one another, and that is exactly what Dr. Comer brings to the table; a game plan for "The Great Commission."

Listen HERE World’s New Religion is No Religion Discipleship Path Designer, and Best-Selling Author of “ReMission: Rethinking How Church Leaders Create Movement” and “Soul Whisperer: Why the Church Must Change the Way It Views Evangelism.” More people than ever before are identifying as atheist, agnostic, or otherwise nonreligious, with potentially world-changing effects. You don’t usually think of churches as going out of business, but it happens. Around the world, when asked about their feelings on religion, more and more people are responding with a meh. Slowly the rise of a religiously unaffiliated party is growing significantly, with no end in sight. But why? What is drawing people away from God and how can we reach them? Gary Comer uses his background and experiences to elaborate on the growing trust issues with God in society and why there are so many questions. * Growing up in a faithless family. Can you be the first? * Stopped believing in religious teaching. Why? * Bad experiences in school. Can you overcome? * What happens when God is the only one listening? Meet Gary Comer * Gary Comer is the founder of Soul Whisperer Ministry, an organization dedicated to helping churches. Gary served as the outreach director for Sandals Church (a mega-sized congregation in Southern California). During that time, he also served as a church planting coach for the Christian Missionary Alliance and worked as an international mission trainer with Serve U International, while completing his doctorate at Talbot Theological Seminary. * Gary is the Author of several books including: “ReMission: Rethinking How Church Leaders Create Movement” and “Soul Whisperer: Why the Church Must Change the Way It Views Evangelism,” his first book that maintains a five-star rating over 90 Amazon reviews. * He is a motivational speaker, faith-sharing skills trainer, community group campaign catalyst, discipleship path designer, and development consultant. His ministry is national and international, involved in training leaders in the United Kingdom, Kenya, Egypt, and India. For more information: www.soulwhispererministry.com/about
