Armenia has been Christian longer than any other country on Earth. Now, thousands of its people are in peril thanks to an ethnic cleansing push by its Muslim neighbor, Azerbaijan. Former Trump religious freedom ambassador Sam Brownback tells Charlie about what has become a forgotten "other" conflict in the Middle East. Plus, Andy Biggs discusses the decoupling of Israel and Ukraine funding, and Charlie responds to Eric Adams getting menaced by the DOJ after his noisy criticism of Biden's border disaster.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I asked medieval historian Rachel Fulton Brown if we ought to still think of our nation (or any Western nation) as “a Christian country” in the twenty-first century. My reasoning was that I thought our Judeo-Christian inheritance is the foundation—if partially forgotten—of the democratic principles of our republic. The resulting discussion was lively, fruitful, and surprising. Sue Duffield sits down with Christian Country artist, LIsa Daggs, for a personal and reflective conversation about how she struggled through the challenges and temptations of an entertainer's lifestyle. She worked to rediscover the inner peace she had lost. “I was full of self-will, running my own show, and believing I knew what was best for my life,” she recalls. Lisa forced her way through the process of overcoming the severe consequences caused by her previous lifestyle, but then turned her life over to the complete care of God, trusting Him for strength and guidance. Sue's gem of a new friend, Lisa, courageously shares her own story of loss, redemption, and hope - to inspire everyone she meets. As a vocal performance artist Lisa has been honored with numerous awards including The Gospel Voice Diamond Award for Country Artist of the Year (other nominees included Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Raybon and Lee Ann Rimes), CCMA's Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year, and as “the brightest newcomer to the scene” by the Christian Country Research Bulletin. She is also a Gaither Homecoming Artist, and has traveled the world sharing her music and story. For more about LIsa Daggs, www.lisadaggs.net www.sueduffield.com

Once again it's been a lil bit since I released a new episode. But I got some new jams I been jamming, that I want you to know about so you can jam too! This episode I talk about some Christian Country Rap songs. Plus a new CHH Houston H-Town Rap Cypher released to encourage people to stop the violence in Greenspoint Houston Texas. I know it seems ridiculous to think a song could stop crimes, but I believe songs/testimonies can impact/influence people sometimes. And maybe for those of us not committing crimes, maybe we can do whatever we can do to help stop or report crimes. Or just find creative ways to reach lost areas with the Gospel and to be the light and salt (to shine for Jesus and show his goodness/grace/mercy/good news of salvation plus to preserve society from moral decay and bring truth and justice). I think the message of that song can be applied to all the H though with all the recent news of murder, and really everywhere in general. People need to stop the senseless shooting and killing. Stop hate crimes, stop theft and robbery, stop gang violence, ect. Hopefully the testimonies of an Ex-Gangster now doing Christian Rap can influence the people who are now currently still living those dead end lifestyles. And hopefully even the Christian Rappers who don't have a rough or troubled past, can still make a great impact on music listeners in general, including thugs and gangsters in the streets, show them there's a better way, a better lifestyle. Our guest for this edition of the Ron King Show is Sandy Lusco Huffman, a seasoned Christian/Country singer-songwriter now living in rural New Freeport, PA, just over the state line from West Virginia. Sandy started out singing and performing in school when she was very young in Pittsburgh and by the time she was a teenager she was opening up for top country artists, such as Ronnie Milsap, on the WWVA Radio Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia. (The Jamboree could be heard at night on WWVA radio in 16 states and parts of Canada at that time.) Sandy also got to perform at "Jamboree In The Hills" where most of the top Nashville country acts of the day performed. However, as Sandy entered her twenty's she began to feel that, even though she still loved music and performing, the type of compromising life style that sometimes went with it all was just not what Sandy was looking for. So, give a listen to Sandy's story and see how it all turned out. I'm sure you'll like it. It's truly interesting!! Ron King .

As part of our evening services, Mike Waine lead a discussion, in the style of a Zoom Theology event, around the relationship between faith and Nationalism, whether Britain should be considered a Christian Country and whether we can belong to both the Kingdom of God and Kingdoms of Earth? This is what Mike shared before the time of discussion began. If you would like to use this to have your own discussion, some suggested questions are: 1) What does Britishness mean to you? 2) Is it important to you to see England/Britain as a 'Christian Country'? 3) The Queen is the 'Supreme Governor' of the Church of England, a position first held by King Henry VIII. Is it right for the State to have an involvement within the Church, or should the two be separate? 4) Should all Christians be pacifists? 5) What does a Christian Politic look like in Britain today?

Christian/Country musician and pastor Mitch Wall from Fayette City, PA is our guest on this episode of the Ron King Show. Mitch tells an interesting story about how he started out playing country songs in bars and clubs, eventually got saved at a Billy Graham Crusade in the old Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA, started bible school and years later felt the Lord's call to become a Baptist pastor. In addition to being a fine preacher, Mitch is also a really good guitarist, singer and songwriter. On this episode of the Ron King Show you'll get to hear a fun song that Mitch wrote and recorded called, "Honk If You Love Jesus." I am sure that many Christian musicians who listen to this podcast we'll be able to relate to singing and playing in bars and then getting saved and turning their lives, and their music, over to the Lord. I hope you enjoy the podcast, I enjoyed producing it! Blessings, Ron King .

The socialists and liberals always pretend compassion, and they end up killing more people. The body count racks up when you look at what communists, socialists, eugenicists, and liberals have done to the world since 1900. After killing 4.5 billion people, liberals would get upset with conservatives who wish to implement the death penalty on a few hundred people. But, the root issue is that they don't fear God, which would have been the beginning of wisdom. We contrast the modern state with the formation of the nation. Was America ever a Christian country- The answer is yes. . .until 1789.----This program includes-----1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus -Thousands of Chinese pastors have gone into hiding, Franklin Graham- I believe Trump when he says election was stolen, Spain set to legalize euthanasia-----2. There is an arrogance in expecting that every church member is going to be as spiritually mature as yourself. In the Christian’s zeal to follow the Lord, to obey his commands and statutes, how do they connect with those who aren’t quite there? Furthermore, we speak of the church not being a building or an organization, but more of a family, yet some people who darken the doorways still don’t know Jesus, or don’t really act like they do.

Despite popular misconceptions from right wing media, America, the United States was not founded as a Christian nation. America has roots in the deism of the founding fathers, atheism of the enlightenment. The Founding fathers even went so far as to create an American God (Far before Neil Gaiman) The Goddess Columbia was the creation of the founding fathers who thought the nation should have their own goddess to protect the young nation. Is Christian country music appropriate? Is there anything inherently wrong with country music? Should a Christian listen to country music?
In what sense can a country be “Christian”? Today on the Religious Studies Project, we welcome back Professor Linda Woodhead to discuss and interrogate the question "Is Britain Still a Christian Country?", the topic of her recent Croall Lectures at the University of Edinburgh.
Are Christians victims of a hateful animus, or are they demanding special treatment in a secular state which in fact applies the law equally to all? Peter Hitchens fears that without Christianity, we might end up undermining the whole foundation of law in this country. But agony aunt Claire Rayner thinks that we shouldn’t need God in order to be good. Journalist Matthew Parris wonders how intelligent people can still believe in God. They were joined by former Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey, leading human rights lawyer Geoffrey Robertson QC and Benedictine monk and former school headmaster Dom Antony Sutch to debate the motion "Stop Bashing Christians! Britain has become an anti-Christian country" at the Royal Geographical Society on 3rd November 2010. The debate was chaired by Executive editor and columnist at the Guardian, Jonathan Freedland. Anne Wilson is a Christian/Country artist who released her debut album "My Jesus" in 2022. Anne joins Country Music Made Me to discuss the role both Christian and Country music played in her upbringing, the influence she takes from both when creating her own music, and the memories that she's created through each genre. Anne and Brendan talk about growing up on the family farm in Kentucky, her journey in faith during that time, and how her life changed when she gave her life to Christ. Anne explains the immense pain and loss she experienced when her brother was tragically killed in 2017, how her life was forever changed after singing at his funeral, and the immediate calling towards music she felt within her soul at that moment. Finally, Anne talks about her musical journey that began in 2017, what it was like discovering who she was as an artist, and how amazing the response to her music has been.
