Letts and Tucker are two old school friends both now well into their 30's, but at very different stages in their lives. Each episode the lads chat, joke, laugh, moan, complain and swear about whatever topic they arbitrarily decided to focus on that week. If you like random chat, poorly thought out…
Ah.... look I know what you're thinking. Why are you releasing a show about New Year's Resolutions and a review of 2020, as we head into March? Well actually, if you've listened before you won't be thinking that, you'll probably be (correctly) thinking that we recorded it late (blaming Tucker), it then took over a month to edit (Phil's fault) and then yet another 3 weeks to actually upload. (Yeah, I'll cop to that one as Letts). Well done. You're right. Never the less.... cast your mind back to the volatile time of January 12th. Christmas had been canceled. Corona was worse than ever. The US was undergoing a failed coup. Simpler times. It's not all depressing shit tho... we also talk about what a mess Monty Panesar is on game shows, which is honestly pretty funny. Loe QoQ. x
Letts and Tucker are back with Episode 39 and the content is as delightful as the name suggests. The show kicks off with Phil's Big Corona Reveal (pos or neg, tune in to found out!)... before swiftly moving on to some kiwi chat from down under. Expect historical bants, cultural references and fascinating tales of orcs and goblins - as the lads pick apart the once-great nation of New Zealand! Once that's all out the way, the showstopping headliner is ready, as in a one-off-not-to-be-missed-spectacular, Tucker has prepared a detailed and fascinating quiz-game! Play along at home, we guarantee you'll love every second! As always, if you'd like to hit us up with any topic or game suggestions, find us on Insta @qoqpodcast Stay safe x
!!!Oooooohhhh - Scary Spooky Episode Alert!!! Well... not actually or even at all, but Letts and Tucker are still here to get stuck into the topical topic of Halloween - and I have to say, it's a hell of an episode. Expect nostalgic chat, offensive fancy dress and racist children... basically all your usual Halloween tropes. In what's becoming a worrying trend for the podcast, the "review" section this week is taken up by a completely original and not at all ripped off from another more successful podcast idea, as the lads play a fun, (if quite rambling) game of No More Jockeys. Why not play along at home.... you'll probably win. As always - hit us up for bants, feedback, comments, complaints, corrections, games and show suggestions @qoqpodcast on Insta or quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com Stay spooky. Stay safe. x
Episode 37 is here and to borrow one of Tucker's favourite phrases, we're "Coming In Hard!!" The lads kick off this week's pod with some chat spanning the full spectrum of cheating - think Icarus, figure skating, Ashley Maddison and the main man himself - Joey Greco! Back by popular demand (after someone actually said they liked it) the well-worn review section is back and as arbitrary as ever, as Letts & Tucker turn their critics eye to the BBC Drama, Devs. It should come as a surprise to no-one that Letts liked it and Tucker didn't..... still though, fun to talk about it. As always, massive thanks for Producer Phil for the edit. You can hit us up with any questions, feedback and future topic suggestions here - quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com Stay Safe x
The boys are back once again, several months too late for any of the topical bits to make sense, but several decades too lazy to be bothered about it. What could have been a brilliant opportunity to start impacting a positive change on the country, quickly turns into Tucker slagging off dog owners... and it's onwards from there as the lads seem to create the new political ideology of Liberal Authoritarianism: "Do whatever you want... and if you don't we'll kill you" Phil arrives late in time to throw another mental quiz our way... play along at home if you like your rhymes like LeAnn.
Episode 35 is HERE - coming in at the speed of a glacier nearly a month after the record, but BOY was this one worth the wait, if only for Tucker's AMAZING hip-hop track (mic drop..... mic broken.... FFS) The lads then get stuck into chatting all things conspiracy... Tin Foil Hats, Flat-Earthers, Paul McCartney and everything in between. In the review section (audible sigh from Letts) Tucker has finally managed to get a 90s Wrestling section in, as the lads turn their laser-sharp review focus towards 1997's grudge match between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Insta: @qoqpodcast for bants and comms @andyandyletts for all WarChild Cover Songs
Episode 34 is here and this week the lads are chatting bucket lists! As well thought out and researched as ever, topics cover dolphins, drill music and way too many mentions for The Taj Mahal. In what's now the 4th iteration of Producer Phil's confusing and complicated gameshow series, Letts and Tucker are pitted against each other in a thrilling and intense battle of WORDLONGER - a game highly likely to be never played anywhere, ever again, by anyone. Fun while it lasted tho. Play along at home. Also if you can find a few spare quid for an amazing charity, Letts's War Child link is here -https://tiltify.com/@myfavouriteandy/my-favourite-andy-rising-for-war-child Big love as always - L,T&P
Episode 33 is here and it's a good un! This week the lads are very loosely chatting about Big Mistakes, although even by their own standards there isn't too much to go on here. Nevertheless, expect rugby club embarrassment, traveling stories (drink) and Natalie Imbruglia chat. This week's review section of the pod has 3 accompanying listen-along playlists, as the lads are reviewing each other's "Travellers' Ten" lists (i.e. their favourite 10 songs of all time). Letts - https://spoti.fi/3bQldWe Tucker - https://spoti.fi/2AH35Rx Phil - https://spoti.fi/2LMkv1F We'd love to hear some more of these so please send yours in to us - we promise not to be as mean to you as we were to Phil, who as you'll hear, wasn't there to defend himself. Also early in the podcast, Tucker promoted Letts' upcoming, live-stream gig raising money for War Child... but as predicted, the two weeks it then took Tucker to cobble together the edit means that it's now been and gone. Having said that, the video is still up there if you'd like to donate a few quid to what is an amazing charity, please do so on this link where you can also watch the recording. (NB - You DO NOT have to listen to donate... don't worry) https://tiltify.com/@myfavouriteandy/my-favourite-andy-rising-for-war-child
Guess who's back, back again, Letts and Tucker are back, tell your friends... seriously, please do tell your friends. Episode 32 is here and in their on-going quest to put a little bit of joy back into the world, the lads have picked the topic of Happier Times aka Happy Memories. Time for some poz vibes as we cover beautiful topics including Leeds Festival, travels in the Blue Mountains and (inexplicably) the Lostprophets come up twice too. :/ Luckily the review section is replaced this week by another classic Producer Phil game - "Play Your Bets Right" ....all proceeds going to charity once again :) As always, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast for bants, feedback and topic suggestions. Stay safe out there kids x
Lockdown. Corona. Lack of testing. Social Distancing. Joe Wicks. All themes we've become way too familiar with during the last month or so - so to ease the burden, Letts & Tucker are back with Episode 31 of the pod. This week the lads discuss a topic which is very close to home for both of them - "Being Out Of Your Depth" (which as Tucker pointed out is a nicely meta way to say we don't really know how to podcast.) Expect fun chat ranging from drowning, annoying neighbours and failing badly at exams. The effervescent review show remains - and just to show that the lads are still in touch with the common man, they had a crack at 'PE With Joe' to see what all of the fuss has been about. (meh) As always, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast or on email at quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com - for questions, bants and future topic suggestions.
Covinda 19 19, Corona's shite its shite its..... Another week in lockdown and Letts are Tucker are back for more isolation chat. As the lads get to grips with not leaving the house, subjects of conversation cover as broad a range of topics as ever including The NHS Clap (good or bad?), masks (good or bad?) and dog shit (just bad really). In the as ever loosely titled 'review' section of the show, the Producer Phil runs a book letting the lads place bets on any famous sporting event of the past, as long as they don't know the outcome already. Starting with a hypothetical £20 with the real winnings (/loosings) going to a real charity... so it's not all bad. As referenced, highlights from 'The Battle Of Santiago' are well worth a watch for anyone unfamiliar with this fantastic showpiece occasion. To quote David Coleman: "Chile vs Italy... this is the first time these two have met, we hope it will be the last". Definitely watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5jVMSlpZhg As always, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast for bants, chat and feedback, or drop a note to quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com Stay safe kids. x
Well f**k me. Quite a lot had changed in the 2 weeks since the last pod, which was recorded in a pre-corona world. In the first Episode since the lockdown kicked in, Letts and Tucker catch up to put their own spin on the current situation. As I'm sure you can agree, their voices and opinions on this have never been more important or more needed. It's not all shit depressing news thoug. In place of the review section this week, Producer Phil has put together a new game which tests Letts and Tucker's mental and physical ability (in both cases they were found wanting.) Tune in for a one-time-only game of **Trivitality** (which Phil snuggly explained is a portmanteau of Trivia and Vitality...sigh) Hope you're all staying safe out there and as always - hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast for bants, feedback, questions and suggestions xxx
Episode 28 is here... and what a glimpse back in time it seems, just a few weeks ago into the pre-Corona world. Letts and Tucker are talking binging of all kinds - food, booze, media, sex (actually the sex bit got cut) ... but otherwise, if you can do too much of it, they are talking about it, Also true to their word, the lads opened the review section up to audience suggestions.... and were presented with the 2019 Conservative manifesto..... *sigh* - but at least they did it and it's still better than that dubious Exploding Kittens content from last week, so every cloud. Hope you enjoy the pod and as always, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast for bants, chat, suggestions and digs. Stay safe kids x
Episode 27 is here ... and it's definitely one for the QoQ purists. Having said that if you're interested in terrible weather, DIY and mild racism towards the French then there's probably something in here for you. The review section of the show finds Letts, Tucks and Producer Phil pitted against each other in a tense game of the 'Exploding Kittens' mobile app... featuring some wonderful commentary which may or not make any sense whatsoever. We promise Episode 26 and Episode 28 are much better than this. But our Quantity Over Quality pledge bans us from not releasing content...so enjoy what you can! :) As always, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast
Ooooh yeah - it's been a couple of months but the dream team are back together podding again at last. In this comeback special, Letts and Tucker chat about witty retorts, sporting comebacks and general abject failure. Also in a shocking turn of events, the review section is somehow on the agenda... and due to the fact they both watched the game the day before, you can expect a detailed and insightful sporting analysis and England and Scotland's recent Six Nations clash in some horrific weather..... all worth it for Ellis Genge's interview though. Hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast for chat, bants and poz vibes. #asktash
The first episode of 2020 is extra special, in that Letts didn't show up to record on account of having nowhere to live let alone produce a future-award-winning-podcast, so..... in his first time on the correct side of the microphone, Tucker is joined by Producer Phil to talk, as if by fate, about substitutes. The lads get into the weeds on substitute appearances, apathetic teachers and embarrassing injuries. The review section i also a classic "Phil" category as the topic of chat focuses on the obscure and somehow not yet extinct sport of Real Tennis. For any future pod suggestions hit the lads up on Insta @qoqpodcast - and Letts will be back next week to sort this whole mess out.
IIIITTT'SSSS CCCHHHRRIIISSTTTMMMAAASSS!!!!!Episode 24 comes in with a festive bang as Letts and Tucker kick off with a delightful reflection on the new general election results to set that heart-warming tone, before going on to chat about all things Yuletide. Expect depression, frustration and David Bellamy. In the review section of the show the lads have a listen to Producer Phil's 'Best Of' playlist for the current UK Top 10(ish) Album charts. Surprise, annoyance, disgust and general hatred ensue. To check out the Spotify playlist for yourself, just go here (although proceed with audio caution, it's unbelievably shite.): https://spoti.fi/374q9od As always, get us for banter, chat, question, show suggestions and #asktash...... @qoqpodcast on Insta. Merry Christmas everyone, from Letts, Tucker and Producer Phil! xxx
After yet another unearned break, Letts and Tucker are back to talk about a topic that could not be more on-brand for the podcast - "Failed Plans". Chat includes a slating of the Garden Bridge and the fabled story of how Tucker actually convinced someone to marry him.The review section of the show sees the lads taking the "16 Personalities" test, to really get to grips with what kind of twat they each are. Listen on to hear how they fared. Get your own results here - https://www.16personalities.com/As always, for feedback and bants, hit us ip @qoqpodcast on Insta - or drop a line to quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com
Episode 22 find Letts & Tucker taking a trip down memory lane to have a chat about their most memorable meals. Expect stories of embarrassment, vomiting, betrayal (again), traveling (drink) and some other delicious bits and pieces. In the review section of the show, the lads are facing off against each other in the pilot version of Producer Phil's quiz, Time Tucker (named in honour of Tucker's soon to be self-published crime/time-traveling novel. It quickly turns into an opportunity to rip the piss out of each other, which is clearly what Phil was aiming for in the first place. Play along at home! :) And don't forget to #asktash on any of our Instagram posts (@qoqpodcast) for no holds barred questions for Tucker's better half.
After last week's assessment of Producer Phil's pathetic performance on Countdown, Betrayal seemed like an appropriate topic for Letts and Tucker to get their back stabbing teeth into. Political, romantic, just plain arseholery, its all covered. A key theme also quickly emerges, as Phil once again takes editorial control and tries to even the scales somewhat back into his favour. In the review section the lads are talking about 'The Great Hack' - the Netflix documentary about those nice folk over at Cambridge Analytica, who are just doing their best to make the world a better place. Pricks. For any feedback, comments and general chat, hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast, or email quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com
Episode 20 - how in the fuck have we made it this far?!? This week pod kicks off with a special guest appearance from Tucker's better half - Tash. (#asktash for future pods). After that Letts and Tucker spend a bit of time discussing what it means to be competitive. Enter stories of Tucker trying to play cricket and Letts' Googling the word 'competition'... moderate bants follows. After that's out the way, the lads spend one of the most enjoyable sections since starting the pod, as they review Producer Phil's recent incredibly unsuccessful appearance on Countdown. (October 10th 2019) DISCLAIMER: As we kept this episode a secret from Phil, the sound quality and Tucker's editing leave a lot to be desired... hopefully it's worth it as we had a right laugh :) P.S. We love and value your support of the podcast Phil...see you next week.
Episode 19 is here, in an about as timely fashion as your average Northern Rail train service - (several weeks later than planned whilst simultaneously annoying everyone it touches). After some initial chat including an important discussion around QOQ podcast censorship and the word [REMOVED], Letts and Tucker get stuck into the thorny subject of Social Media. Good? Bad? Mixed? You decide. In the widely disregarded review section, the lads are getting all zen and shit after spending the last week working through the Headspace Meditation App... no prizes for guessing what score it gets. For all suggestions of future topics/review sections drop an email to quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com or hit us up on Insta @qoqpodcast
Episode 18 is here and this week Letts & Tucker are chatting about what it means to be English. What starts as a semi-serious discussion quickly transcends into some shocking and some probably quite offensive attempts at various English accents As promised by Tucker in Episode 17, the review section of the show this week covers the apparently incredible broad topic of "Cars"... read into that what you will. In an unprecedented bout of preparation, Letts curated a "Cars Spotify Playlist" for a section of the show that was so badly done we cut it all together.... but if you'd like some fun car-themed tunes, you can still enjoy the playlist here: https://spoti.fi/2mzg3dq
The boys are back after an undeserved and unearned break and are kicking things off by looking back fondly on some previous summer/part-time jobs. Slack exam boards, crossing picket lines and "Porn Fridays", its all in there. The review section of the show has the lads reviewing something neither of them had ever done before, as they buy, read and talk about a copy of this week's Daily Mail. Spoiler: They didn't really like it. Or Brexit. As always - get in touch with the pod on Insta @qoqpodcast or email quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com
The lads are back with Episode 16 and this week they are discussing the depressingly hilarious topic of "Romantic Failures". Rejection, deception, and humiliation... its all in there as Letts and Tucker bare their souls, kind of. In the review section of the show, Producer Phil sent over a playlist with one track from every act nominated for this years Mercury Music Award, along with 4 sneaky ones of his own to try and catch the lads out. If you want to play along and don't know the nominations yet... or you just want to check out the tunes we are talking about, Phil's Spotify playlist is here. Enjoy:https://spoti.fi/2PHFJ5E
In an attempt to put some positive energy back in the universe after a few weeks of fairly depressing topics, this week Letts and Tucker are talking about "The Little Things" in life which really put a smile on your face. Get ready for some #pozvibes.... until Tucker inevitably ruins it all by getting annoyed by everything. In easily one of the weirdest review sections that the podcast has tackled yet, the lads both cooked up some random recipes selected by Producer Phil. Tucker takes on a Celery Log while Letts whips up a delish Coca-Cola Salad.... hard to write a summary for what came after this (but it didn't go well. At all.) For feedback, suggestions, bants and free samosas, email quantityoverquality@gmail.com or hit the lads up on Insta @qoqpodcast
Episode 14 of the podcast sees Letts and Tucker chatting about Nightmares (oooooh)... Worst ones, best ones and living ones. Cheery topics include teeth falling out and being shot in the face... it's a right laugh as always! On the review section of the show the lads turn their chat towards the new BBC series, Years & Years..... parts of this would probably almost pass as an actual semi-serious review of what is an excellent (if depressing as fuck) show. Defo watch it before listening to the show... if only because its much better than the podcast. As always, send your thoughts, stories and feedback into quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com or @qoqpodcast on Insta
After a couple of rough weeks, Letts and Tucker decide to turn their podcasting attention to something we can all associate with... being ill and feeling like crap. Expect stories of shitting, proms and one-up-man-ship. After previous cracks of contemporary reviews by way of Lizzo and Billie Eilish, In an attempt to revive the badly flagging review section the lads focus on (possibly) and all time classic - Led Zeppelin's 4th album, Led Zeppelin IV (aka ) For thoughts, feedback, suggestions and bants - hit us up as quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com
Episode 12 has the lads discussing their favourite 'Iconic Americans' in a loose attempt to cash in on the fact it was kind of near the 4th of July. Expect names from Sport, Politics, Hollywood, Music... and "Sports Entertainment" aka Tucker's wrestling addiction. Letts is still struggling badly after Glastonbury, much to Tucker's disgust/amusement... but the lads did still manage to review Lizzo's amazing Glasto performance thanks to Tucker getting involved and watching the whole 55minute set on iPlayer. You go gurl!
This week's episode of QoQ sees Letts and Tucker discussing some of the terrible fashion choices they have made over the years, highlights include "dressing up" to get into Mr Smiths (Warrington's former premier late-night establishment). The ever-popular review section of the show find the lads sharing their thoughts on 'Qunicy' - Netflix's Quincy Jones documentary - in an attempt to review a doc that's a bit more light-hearted that Blackfish..... as usual, it didn't go well.
Episode 10 of the podcast finds Letts & Tucker feeling pretty worse for wear having spent the weekend on two separate stag dos. They compare notes as well as generally sharing some fairly random anecdotes about other (un)successful stags they have been along to.In the now universally loved/acclaimed review section of the show, the boys discuss the first episode of the new season of Black Mirror - Striking Vipers. There are spoilers, but in all honestly its probably not the most insightful analysis of the episode you'll hear, but hey, you're not here for the intellectual stimulation are you? Any feedback on this show, as well as suggestions for future podcast topics/reviews, just email quantityoverqualitypodcast@gmail.com
Episode 9 of the pod Letts & Tucker turn their laser-sharp focus and wit towards the crazy world of camping (festival or in the wild.) In the review section, the lads have a crack at explaining what the hell Kabaddi is, in a review of the amazing clash between Hydrabad Bulls and Warangal Warriors. For anyone interested in watching the game, the link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQquI_QtmK8 The pod also sees the first enactment of the 'travelling' student drinking game... feel free to play along at home, or on the bus/train
Episode 8 of the pod sees the Letts and Tucks discussing "I was there" moments, covering vast intellectual topics such unexpected pregnancies, drunken gigs and Michael Jackson's death. In a very questionable decision for what is meant to be a light-hearted podcast, this week's review section covers the sad and moving documentary Blackfish, which exposes the awful abuse of Orcas in captivity.... but don't worry there is a fair bit of whale penis chat so it's not all depressing.
This week, Letts & Tucker turn their sharp business-focused minds towards creating some winning business ideas. Sex toys, drug hostels and samosas. In the review section of the show the lads get into the kitchen to compare notes on Vegan Burritos. For the "Quickshot" video - check out this link. The world has moved on: https://youtu.be/_ZpVSgclw2M
This week the lads talk Public Transport - a topic which gave Tucker the win on the swearing front. Giving up your seat, foreign safety and Chris Grayling - its all in there. Much to Letts' disgust, the review session of the week took a sharp turn towards having to actually do some exercise, as the guys inexplicably did the '30min POPSUGAR Fitness No-Equipment Cardio & HIIT Workout' For reference and megalols, here is the link: https://youtu.be/CBWQGb4LyAM
More meandering chat this week as the lads discuss things they started but never finished, as well as some speculation on who the best sponsors might be once the podcast has become a global success. In the review section they talk about the current #1 album in the UK 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We All Go' by Billie Eilish. It's fair to say Letts and Tucker are not the primary demographic for this music.
Episode 4 of the show sees Letts & Tucker provide an intensive and serious deep-dive conversation into what is and isn't acceptable at a wedding. In the review section of the show the lads talk for probably a bit too long about the movie Gone Girl just "because it was on iPlayer".
More chat from Letts and Tucker as this week the lads vaguely discuss the ethics of The British Museum, the office politics of getting a round of tea in and some horrible bosses. In the review section of the show, there is a deep intellectual dive into the contemporary themes of the new BBC show 'Moon & Me' (for 0-3 year olds)
In Episode 2 of Quantity Over Quality, Letts and Tucker try to discuss Bad Purchases and also review Ricky Gervais' new show After Life...
