Anthony Reynolds in conversation with David Eastaugh https://anthonyreynolds.bandcamp.com/ n 1993, Reynolds moved to London, where he formed the group Jack, on lead vocals, signing a music publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music as well as a record deal with independent label Too Pure. Jack released three full-length albums, the first two of which – Pioneer Soundtracks (1996) and The Jazz Age (1998) – garnered excellent reviews and placed highly in critics' end-of-year polls. Despite the overwhelmingly positive critical reaction and extensive UK and European touring, sales for both records although respectable, were ultimately disappointing, and no Jack record would ever make the UK Top 40 singles or albums charts. The third album, The End of the Way It's Always Been, was released on the Les Disques du Crépuscule label. The record featured collaborations with writer/musician Kirk Lake and American poet and novelist/screenwriter Dan Fante (son of John Fante). An extensive European tour promoted the record. The critical reaction in the UK to the album was less positive than for the first two Jack albums, but the album was markedly successful in France.

Despite an increasing focus on SMEs, effective industrial mobilisation must also better harness the power of traditional defence firms. Andrea Thompson from BAE Systems explains how. The excitement in defence ministries about improving how they engage with dynamic and innovative small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is understandable but represents only a partial element of what is needed for industrial mobilisation. As Christian Broze explained in the previous episode, the traditional defence primes remain crucial actors and often have the capacity for mass that SMEs lack. Effectively engaging industry in the plans for growth of defence capacity that have been touted in defence reviews has to be multi-faceted, acknowledging the heterogenous nature of industry as a whole and responsive enough to accommodate the differences between distinct parts of the same enterprise. Andrea Thompson offers the perspective of a large defence prime, drawing on her experience as Group Managing Director for BAE Systems' Digital Intelligence. With a career spanning the UK and US, she has worked at Rockwell International, Rolls Royce and BAE Systems, including in BAE's F-35 and Eurofighter Typhoon programmes, and as the Chair of the Eurofighter Supervisory Board for the Eurofighter GmbH consortium. She was named in the Financial Times' UK Top 100 list of Most Influential Women in the Engineering Sector in 2019.

It delivered a record-breaking opening for a music biopic, with domestic previews of $12.6 million and projections pushing toward an $85M–$95M+ U.S. weekend — surpassing Straight Outta Compton's $60M debut. Global opening estimates reached $140M–$150M+, fueled by a trailer that racked up 116.2 million views in its first 24 hours.“Human Nature,” from the 1982 Thriller album and released as a single in 1983, peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on Adult Contemporary. It earned Platinum certification in the U.S. (1 million units) and has accumulated roughly 310–312 million lifetime streams on Spotify, positioning it as a deep cut with remarkable longevity. The track has inspired over 20 samples and numerous covers. The Michael: Songs from the Motion Picture soundtrack, released alongside the film, bundles 13 classic tracks including “Human Nature,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and “Thriller.” A new official “Human Nature” video mixing archival footage with modern dance dropped on release day. Post-release, the song climbed to #55 on the UK iTunes Top Songs chart, while “Billie Jean” surged nearly 100 positions. The soundtrack quickly entered the UK Top 10, and Michael Jackson's Spotify monthly listeners held strong at 68–69 million, with catalog streams showing significant daily spikes from trailer exposure, film scenes, and marketing.Analytic Dreamz examines the mechanisms behind the surge — trailer power, on-screen performances, soundtrack synergy, nostalgia, and cross-generational discovery — alongside broader catalog economics. The Michael Jackson estate earned approximately $105 million in 2025, with 2026 projections pointing to a major uplift from box office success, streaming gains, and soundtrack sales. Despite the film's mixed critical reception (39% on Rotten Tomatoes), its commercial momentum has driven immediate catalog resurgence, elevating “Human Nature” from deep cut to featured rediscovery track. This segment delivers data-driven analysis on short-term sales and streaming spikes, mid-term playlist longevity, and the strategic value of the film in reinforcing Michael Jackson's enduring catalog as a high-value asset.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Leadership and Cultural Differences with Dawn Stallwood Dawn Stallwood is a Corporate Counsel, Chief Integrity Officer, and the author of Beautiful Leadership, known for her work at the intersection of governance, power, and people. With nearly three decades of experience, she has advised founders, boards, and senior executives across industries and international markets on complex deals, business growth, crisis management, and long-term legacy. Her expertise is particularly relevant in today's global environment, where leadership and cultural differences increasingly shape how organizations succeed or fail. Before founding her current platform, Dawn was a partner at a UK Top 100 law firm and became one of only 770 Notaries Public in the United Kingdom. This background gives her a rare combination of legal precision and strategic insight. Over the years, she has worked with leadership teams navigating not only high-stakes decisions but also the challenges that arise from leadership and cultural differences in multinational settings. Today, Dawn leads Floodlight Business, an integrity-driven platform designed to help leaders build resilient, human-centered organizations. Her work focuses on aligning commercial success with ethical leadership, a balance that is often overlooked in traditional corporate environments. In a world where businesses operate across borders, understanding leadership and cultural differences is no longer optional—it is essential for maintaining trust, cohesion, and performance. At the core of her work is the Beautiful Leadership framework, a proprietary approach that redefines what effective leadership looks like. Rather than focusing solely on results or authority, Dawn emphasizes intention, empathy, and service. This perspective is particularly relevant in organizations dealing with leadership and cultural differences, where misalignment can lead to conflict, inefficiency, and lost opportunities. Her framework equips leaders to navigate these complexities with clarity and integrity. Dawn's approach is also forward-looking. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries, she argues that character will become a defining factor in leadership effectiveness. Technical skills and competence remain important, but they are no longer sufficient on their own. Leaders must also demonstrate emotional intelligence and cultural awareness, especially when managing diverse teams. This is where leadership and cultural differences play a critical role, influencing communication, decision-making, and overall organizational culture. Through her advisory work, speaking engagements, and writing, Dawn challenges leaders to rethink their approach. She encourages them to move beyond transactional leadership models and adopt a more human-centered mindset. Her message is clear: organizations that take leadership and cultural differences seriously are better positioned to adapt, innovate, and sustain long-term success. In summary, Dawn Stallwood brings a distinctive voice to modern leadership. By combining deep legal expertise with a strong focus on integrity and human dynamics, she helps leaders navigate complexity in a globalized world. Her work is particularly valuable for organizations seeking to bridge leadership and cultural differences and build cultures that are both high-performing and ethically grounded. Her tip to become more culturally competent is: Make sure you have the right set of hearing aids and contact lenses; it's about tuning in to the other person. To see the things that were meant to be seen and to hear the things that were meant to be heard. She began songwriting at age 10, went viral on TikTok in 2022 with covers and originals, dropped out of school at 16 to pursue music full-time, and built early momentum with singles like “Maybe” (#75 UK Singles Chart, 2024) and her 2025 EP.Co-written by Spiro with Omer Fedi, Michael Pollack, and Blake Slatkin, the piano-led ballad—sparked by a Bohemian Rhapsody-inspired piano mistake—features cinematic strings by Rob Moose and explores stubborn love, emotional entrapment, and toxic relationships with raw vulnerability and dramatic structure. Playliste: Don Charles Presents The Singing Dogs – Oh Susanna Nina & Frederik – Little donkey Laid Back – Bakerman Whigfield – Saturday night Aqua – Turn back time Cartoons – Witch doctor Funkstar De Luxe vs. Bob Marley – Sun is shining Safri Duo – Played-A-Live (The bongo song) DJ Aligator Project – The whistle song (Blow my whistle baby) Junior Senior – Move your feet The Raveonettes – Love in a trashcan / Mew – Special Infernal – From Paris to Berlin Camille Jones vs. Fedde Le Grand – The creeps / Ida Coor vs. Fedde Le Grand – Let me think about it Alphabeat – Fascination Major Lazer and DJ Snake feat. Known for his distinctive voice and his slide guitar playing, Rea recorded 25 studio albums, two of which topped the UK Albums Chart: The Road to Hell in 1989 and its successor, Auberge, in 1991. He had already become "a major European star by the time he finally cracked the UK Top 10 with the single "The Road to Hell (Part 2)". His many hit songs included "I Can Hear Your Heartbeat", "Stainsby Girls", "Josephine", "On the Beach", "Let's Dance", "Driving Home for Christmas", "Working on It", "Tell Me There's a Heaven", "Auberge", and "Julia". He also recorded a duet with Elton John, "If You Were Me". He was nominated for the Brit Award for British Male Solo Artist in 1988, 1989 and 1990. HEAVY Music Interviews
25 Years And Still A Dirtbag, With BRENDAN BROWN From WHEATUS

HEAVY Music Interviews

No matter what they do musically from now until eternity, New York rockers Wheatus will always be known as the Dirtbag band. The fact that Teenage Dirtbag is probably bigger today than when it first smashed the air waves 25 years ago is made even more impressive when you factor in that Teenage Dirtbag was, in fact, Wheatus' debut single. While no one could have foreseen or even guessed the impact that one song would have on not only the band but a whole generation of movies through to fashion trends, its enduring appeal has, at the very least, kept Wheatus and frontman Brendan Brown young at heart and ready for the next adventure. The viral "Teenage Dirtbag photos" trend on TikTok has attracted over a million participants, including celebs like Madonna, Lady Gaga, Mark Ruffalo, Lil Nas X, Jon Bon Jovi, Chevy Chase and the hashtag #teenagedirtbag has been viewed over 2 billion times. The song's universal appeal has also led to it being featured in Netflix's Big Mouth, Disney's Cruel Summer, and, in 2023, the song incredibly re-entered the UK Top 40 charts. Not bad for a song about life in general. While Wheatus' musical journey exploded from the very outset because of that track, their sudden success was casually taken in the band's stride, who refused to succumb to the weight of public expectation and continued on their own trajectory that somehow has always managed to stay on a similar path with their famous debut song. The band are regular visitors to these shores and have a devoted and loyal following, which in turn allows Brendan and co the freedom and ability to make these regular and always fun stopovers. They are one of the few bands who need no reason or gimmick to draw crowds in Australia, which is why the fact that Wheatus' tour in January next year to celebrate 25 years since their world was turned upside down has already been received as a celebration of music rather than a clever marketing strategy to keep the tills ringing.Always happy to chat, Brendan joined HEAVY recently to discuss the tour and the continued success of Teenage Dirtbag, including their birthday present to themselves by playing their debut album in full."We've been playing that album for years," he smiled, "we never laid off of it. We didn't have to relearn a thing. There are a couple of tweaks we have had to make to the back catalogue to make sure that we get everything in order, should anybody call out anything. But you know, we don't do any set lists. It's all request sets. So, kids are shouting, people are shouting and telling us what to play. You say it, we play it, that's how we do it."We bring up the massive success of Teenage Dirtbag and ask if it sometimes feels like going through the motions, having played it so often."No, man, absolutely not," he stressed. "Never. It's a weird song, you know. I hadn't considered that it would ever be a single. I'd kind of written that off. I didn't think it could be one because it was too long, and it had this meandering story and switched characters and all that stuff. So I didn't think that it would happen. The way that it has is incredible. I mean, I don't know what to make of it, but as a song, I'm quite proud of it."In the full interview, Brendan talked more about the band's upcoming 2026 tour of Australia celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album, starting in Brisbane on January 15 and concluding with three shows in New Zealand. He confirmed plans to take a break over Christmas to recharge before the tour and noted that the band has consistently performed songs from the album, negating the need for extensive relearning. The band will feature all request sets, allowing fans to choose their preferred songs. We discussed the success of Teenage Dirtbag, with Brendan sharing insights into the song's origins, it's recording in his mother's basement, and the album's snarky tone reflecting his frustrations in the music industry. Talk turned to the song's lasting impact on audiences and his initial thoughts on Teenage Dirtbag, including how he didn't really have much confidence in the song when it was first written and plenty more.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

Playliste: Talking Heads - Once in a lifetime Aled Jones - Walking in the air Blink-182 - What's my age again Monopol feat. Karen - Musikken var høj Billie Eilish - Wildflower Pet Shop Boys - West End girls Wham - I'm your man Band Aid - Do they know it's Christmas Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas everyone Whitney Houston - Saving all my love for you Tony Bennett - The Christmas song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire)

In this episode of the XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar is joined by legendary producer Steve Lillywhite — the Grammy-winning studio mastermind behind iconic records by U2, The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, The Smiths, The Killers, Peter Gabriel, and many more. Steve talks about the release of a brand-new 4-track EP featuring a completely unreleased live version of "Fairytale of New York" — recorded at Glasgow Barrowlands in December 1987. This historic performance captures the first time The Pogues ever played the song live, and the first time Kirsty MacColl performed it onstage with the band. The EP is released on 12 December. Recorded by Steve himself — producer of the original version and then-husband of Kirsty MacColl — the Barrowlands tape offers a rare window into the early live life of what has become the UK's favourite Christmas song for over a decade. Originally charting at No. 2 in 1987, "Fairytale of New York" has returned to the UK Top 20 every year since 2005. Steve reflects on the making of the classic track, the energy of that unforgettable night in Glasgow, and key moments from across his remarkable career. Certain artists bring a feeling of soulful upliftment and leave a mark on your musical heart - Jimmy Cliff is one; you sense a man smiling and embracing life. He's navigated Jamaica's musical evolution from the start, with 1962's Hurricane Hattie, to the soundtrack that put him front and centre on a global stage in 1972. He's continued to release beautiful music that speaks to our spiritual sides, and his legacy will live on for generations to come. R.I.P. Jimmy. (1944-2025) Jimmy Cliff was born James Chambers in 1944, growing up in rural Somerton before moving to Kingston as a teenager to chase the fast-rising ska scene. He was writing songs before most kids his age finished schoolwork, and at just fourteen, he walked into Beverley's Records and caught the attention of producer Leslie Kong. That meeting changed everything. Kong recorded Cliff's first breakout song, “Hurricane Hattie,” which turned the young singer into a local star and opened the door to the bustling world of Kingston studios, sound systems, and emerging talent. By the mid-1960s, Cliff had outgrown the island and pushed his music into London, where his sound found a new audience. The turning point came in 1969 with “Wonderful World, Beautiful People,” a UK Top 10 hit that introduced his voice and message to listeners far outside Jamaica. Songs like “Many Rivers to Cross” showed a different side of him - raw, vulnerable, and deeply soulful. Then came The Harder They Come in 1972. Cliff didn't just star in the film; he carried its soundtrack with songs like “You Can Get It If You Really Want” and the title track, helping reggae explode onto the global stage. Jimmy Cliff passed away on November 24, 2025, at age 81, leaving behind one of reggae's most influential legacies. His catalogue stretches from ska and rocksteady roots to crossover hits decades later, including “Reggae Night” and his 1993 revival of “I Can See Clearly Now.” For a one-hour tribute mix, you've got a whole arc to work with, early Kingston youth, global breakthrough, soundtrack legend, and the unmistakable voice that helped carry reggae to the world. EPYSODE 59: "Kongos" by John Kongos. Guest: John Kongos. Additional commentary by Uncle Herff. This week we drop the needle on "Kongos", the 1972 cult-favourite album that fused glam rock, African rhythms, early sampling, and psychedelic textures long before such mashups became the norm. With exclusive commentary from John Kongos, we explore the bold studio experimentation behind tracks like “He's Gonna Step on You Again”, a UK Top 5 hit that famously used tape loops and tribal drums, influencing artists from Happy Mondays to U2. Kongos shares firsthand stories about working with producer Gus Dudgeon (Elton John), the intense sessions at Trident Studios, and how the album's futuristic sound puzzled critics but built a cult following that still grows today. This is a deep-dive into one of the most forward-thinking albums of the era...one that sounds as vital now as it did over 50 years ago. They achieved fame and success in 1974 when they had three UK Top 40 hit singles, including the number one hit "Billy don't be a hero". In the United States they had one number one hit with "The night Chicago died" PAPER LACE started in 1967 as "Music Box" the name change came about in 1970, the line-up included the two founder members Phil Wright (Lead Vocalist & Drummer) Cliff Fish (Vocalist & Bass Player) Sadly Cliff lost a 2 year battle with Cancer in 2023, after much discussion and a period of mourning their loss, the band decided to carry on with a new bass player Dale Corcoran, and together with Phil Hendriks (Vocalist & Guitar) and Dave Major (Vocalist & Keyboards) Phil Wright is still the original singer and drummer, his voice sounding remarkably much the same as it did in 1974. He and Cliff sang and played on Paper Lace's big hits in the 1970's, all other bands using the name "Paper Lace" are non-official tribute acts not affiliated with Phil or the original Band.Listen to Phil as he openly and honestly speaks with Martin and Patrick about his life in the band and what he's up to today, this is an honest interview and we hope you find interesting.https://www.original-70s-paper-lace.com#HeartTransplant#eatingdisorder#RareCondition#HealthJourney#LifeChangingDiagnosis#MentalHealth#Vulnerability#SelfCompassion#PostTraumaticGrowth#MedicalMiracle#BBCSports#Inspiration#Cardiology#Surgery#Podcast#Healthcare#HeartHealth#MedicalBreakthrough#EmotionalJourney#SupportSystem#HealthcareHeroes#PatientStories#CardiologyCare#MedicalJourney#LifeLessons#MentalWellness#HealthAwareness#InspirationalTalk#LivingWithIllness#RareDiseaseAwareness#SharingIsCaring#MedicalSupport#BBCReporter#HeartDisease#PodcastInterview#HealthTalk#Empowerment#Wellbeing#HealthPodcast#Harryhill#Aid's#HIVCheck out our website at www.whostomanddick.comCheck out our website at www.whostomanddick.com

In this episode of the XS Noize Podcast, host Mark Millar is joined by John Power, frontman of Cast, as the legendary Britpop band celebrates a major milestone — 30 years since the release of their iconic debut album All Change. Cast are in the strongest position they've been in for decades. Their 2023 album Love Is The Call received widespread critical acclaim and earned their highest chart position in 25 years. Now, they're preparing to support Oasis on the UK and Ireland leg of their hugely anticipated stadium reunion tour — a landmark moment for the Liverpool band. Once those stadium shows wrap, Cast will return to their roots with the 30 Years of All Change tour, performing their beloved 1995 debut album in full. Featuring timeless tracks like ‘Alright', ‘Finetime', ‘Sandstorm' and ‘Walkaway', All Change remains one of the defining records of the Britpop era. It debuted at #7, went Platinum, and spent nearly a year in the UK Top 40. In this conversation, John reflects on his transition from The La's to forming Cast, the emotional and musical impact of All Change, and what it means to still be performing with original members Liam ‘Skin' Tyson and Keith O'Neill three decades on. He also reveals exciting news about a brand new Cast single arriving soon, and shares early details of their next studio album, set for release in 2026. Before she rocks out on stage next month at Mighty Hoopla festival, British singer-songwriter Amy Studt takes a special trip down memory lane with Joel and David, reminiscing on her anthemic 2000s smash 'Misfit' and every aspect of her landmark debut album "False Smiles", the Gold-certified album which spawned four singles - including two UK Top 10 hits. Where the US market had Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff, we were channelling all our teenage angst with Amy! Amy's rise to pop stardom sounds like something straight out of a movie. Enter a "grungy teen" from a seaside English town who loved to write songs, plucked from obscurity by music svengali Simon Fuller (the man behind Spice Girls and S Club 7) and placed in the studio with some of the industry's best pop songwriters and producers. Cue Karen Poole, Yak Bondy, David Eriksen, Cathy Dennis, Gary Barlow, Eliot Kennedy, and Rob Davis. This conversation is a real nostalgic snapshot of a teen pop star's life in the early 2000s. From legendary 19 Management Christmas parties with Amy Winehouse, Pop Idol stars and S Club 7, through to "CD:UK" and extravagant overseas music video shoots... and even the curious case of a Sheryl Crow cover. Proving she's so much more than 'Just A Little Girl', Amy also talks about how her artistry has evolved over the years with the 2008 alt-pop gem "My Paper Made Men" and avant-garde 2019 "Happiest Girl In The Universe" - and what's next for her. From Huddersfield to Bangkok, pop fans - are you ready for an adventure? Join Joel and David as they kick start a new ‘Discovering' series where they each pick a hidden gem of an artist from the 2000s and select 5 songs from their catalogue for a taste test! Signed to Jive Records and launched in 1999, British pop starlet Ellie Campbell looked and sounded like a ready-made pop star here for the GMTV and Smash Hits audience! Despite having no formal singing or dance training, Ellie's warm soulful tone and star quality was undeniable. The Yorkshire songstress worked with same hitmakers behind Steps (Pete Waterman, Mark Topham, Karl Twigg), launched a handful of singles - including the UK Top 30 smash ‘So Many Ways' - and even found herself performing at the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras! Though she wasn't in the pop game for long, Ellie's bops are forever - and her self-titled album “Ellie” is a real gem!  Before LISA from BLACKPINK, in the 2000s, the world had Thai pop princess Tata Young. Her crossover success in Japan, India, China and across Southeast Asia was pretty much unheard of. Thanks in huge part to her fun signature banger and your new favourite bratty anthem: ‘Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy' (co-written by legendary pop songwriter Savan Kotecha, who has worked with Ariana Grande, Britney, One Direction, and Dannii Minogue).   Tata's catalogue of English tunes is top-tier, as she brings her Main Pop Girl Energy to songs that would be released in the West by Ashley Tisdale, The Cheetah Girls, Play and more. The writing credits on her three English albums read like a ‘who's who' of RBAY! royalty - Jamelia, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Samantha Jade etc.  If you're liking this ‘Discovering' concept - let Joel and David know in the comments who you'd like us to cover next!  Follow Right Back At Ya! https://www.instagram.com/rightbackpod/ https://twitter.com/rightbackpod https://www.facebook.com/rightbackpod Follow Joel https://www.instagram.com/dr_joelb/ https://twitter.com/DR_JoelB Follow David https://www.instagram.com/lovelimmy/ https://twitter.com/lovelimmy Email us rightbackpod@gmail.com

In today's episode of Superpowers for Good, Zufi Deo, co-founder of BizGees Ltd, shares how his social enterprise harnesses that passion to support post-conflict communities through a project called Arts for Refugees. The program collaborates closely with Gen Z, integrating their talents and perspectives into storytelling that shines a light on the lives and challenges faced by refugees. Zufi explained, “We work with 250 plus Gen Z. They create user-generated content for us, and then we share that publicly. So it's for Gen Z, by Gen Z, with Gen Z.”What makes Arts for Refugees unique is its multidimensional approach. Participants aren't just creating content; they are directly connected with the subject matter through hands-on learning experiences. “Tomorrow morning, for example, I'm onboarding 17 students from King's College, London, War Studies Department. They'll be trained as student journalists to write articles on post-conflict topics,” Zufi shared. These articles are often recorded as podcasts, offering a personal touch that highlights the deep connections these young writers have with their topics, especially for those with refugee backgrounds themselves. The initiative's work goes beyond raising awareness—it informs policymakers and influences strategic frameworks. For instance, BizGees shared insights with the Boston Consulting Group for a UNHCR report, showing the program's real-world impact.BizGees, a hybrid social enterprise, demonstrates how for-profit strategies can be leveraged to create sustainable social change, tapping into capitalism to fuel global impact. As Zufi put it, “We use a for-profit mechanism to achieve [social value]. That allows us to tap into the resources of capitalism... to meet everyone's needs economically, but also emotionally and socially.”Zufi's insights remind us of the power of peer-to-peer connection and the role young people play in reshaping narratives around refugees.tl;dr:* Empowering Gen Z for Social Impact: In this episode, Zufi Deo discusses how BizGees engages Gen Z to create user-generated content that raises awareness about post-conflict communities, fostering a unique "by Gen Z, for Gen Z" model of social involvement.* Building Passionate Communities: Zufi's superpower lies in his ability to unite people and inspire them to act on causes they believe in. He recounted organizing business mentorships in London to support thousands of entrepreneurs, highlighting the power of collective passion.* Human-Centric Engagement: A central theme in today's conversation was the emphasis on treating people as human beings, not numbers. Zufi shared that this approach, though more time-consuming and costly, leads to deeper connections and more impactful results.* Personal Stories to Drive Connection: The episode featured moving examples of individuals who, through Arts for Refugees, not only gained support but contributed their experiences to educate and inform others, illustrating the profound peer-to-peer learning model in action.* Social Enterprise for Sustainable Change: BizGees, described as a hybrid social enterprise, showcases how for-profit structures can be leveraged to support meaningful social outcomes, combining the resources of capitalism with a mission to foster global awareness and empathy. How to Develop Inspiring Collective Action As a SuperpowerZufi's superpower lies in his remarkable ability to bring people together and ignite their passion for causes that matter. This talent has allowed him to lead impactful initiatives and support individuals and groups toward achieving meaningful goals. In today's episode, Zufi highlighted how he discovered his superpower during his time in London, where he supported over 2,000 entrepreneurs over a decade by organizing teams of business mentors to guide them. He described how fostering an environment where people felt connected to a purpose and to each other was at the core of his work.An illustrative story that exemplifies Zufi's superpower involved a well-connected but struggling entrepreneur who had organized a group for women but couldn't find mentors. Zufi recounted, “She literally came to tears because she did not know what to do or where to go.” He and his team stepped in, mentoring the group monthly and teaching them how to find support, ultimately empowering them to take ownership and thrive.Zufi's approach for developing this superpower includes actionable tips:* See individuals as human beings with inherent value, not just numbers or names.* Dedicate time and resources to foster genuine, person-to-person connections.* Build small, manageable groups for better interaction and deeper engagement.* Embed empathy and respect in every interaction, even if it requires more time and effort.By following Zufi Deo's example and advice, you can make inspiring collective passion a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses.
