Welcome to Remember When...Hosted by Steve Fischer and Scott Wood. Steve and Scott, friends for almost 40 years and Oxford High School Class of 1993 Graduates, reminisce about times growing up together. Themes such as music, sports, pop culture, will be discussed in each episode.
Steve and Scott, review the Top 10 Billboard songs of 1990. We also discuss some of our favorites in the top 100. Popular Rock albums released in 1990 are discussed along with some TV shows. Like 1989, this will entail a Part 2 or possibly Part 3.
Part 2 of 1989 is here! We discuss the champions in the sports for the year, and of course tackle some of the Pro Wrestling stories of 1989. YOu will be surprised to know nothing has changed since 1989 for our Detroit Lions!
Fish and Wood are baaaaaack! As the world is practicing social distancing amid the COVID-19, coronavirus, we thought what not a better time to relaunch our podcast, Remember When. We will brand this as Season 3! :) Back for the first time since December, 2019, we hope we can bring you some fun and humor in this very stressful time for many. We cover the year 1989, and discuss many of the key areas of entertainment of that year. Including Movies, TV shows, and of course, Music! So much to cover, we will need to make this a 2 or possibly 3 part episode. We even release our new intro promo, we hope you will enjoy. The very first episode of Remember When...In this episode, Steve and Scott discuss what was going on in the rock scene during the late 1980's and early 90's. This was a very big transition era for Rock 'n Roll. With the Seattle "Grunge" invasion upon us, led my Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit", many band from the "Hair Metal" era, such as Poison, and Motley Crue were losing interest from listeners. Steve and Scott discuss this transition in addition to many other rock themes from the era.
