A film that manages to accomplish nothing, makes us dislike the mains, but still makes us like the movie.... "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" is one wild, misguided ride that desperately tries—and fails—to turn its two lead dirtballs into lovable scoundrels. Instead of evolving into charming antiheroes, they remain gloriously repulsive, wallowing in a sea of their own filth, which only adds to the film's bizarre, unintentional humor. The movie seems to have tossed the rulebook out the window. Physics takes a permanent vacation when bulletproof trench-coats, which resemble oversized garbage bags, inexplicably defy every law of nature. And let's not even get started on the leads pulling off the 15-story jump, landing in a pool as if gravity were a mere suggestion. The relationship between the two HD and MM is as shallow as it is unconvincing—they barely share a shred of genuine care, leaving audiences to wonder if they even notice the people who care about them. Their nonchalant attitude toward life and each other underlines the film's overarching failure to deliver the kind of dynamic, heartfelt camaraderie that makes buddy-adventure movies worth watching. Then there's the so-called "Great Bank" and its cadre of villains. These bad guys are a mess of drug-dealing side-hustles and a squad of armed assassins who, in a twist that's almost as puzzling as it is amusing, seem like kind of folks who jam out to Kraftwerk. Their quirky, half-baked villainy adds yet another layer of absurdity to a movie already drowning in its own incompetence. In the end, "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" is a complete failure as a buddy-adventure movie. Yet, in its relentless pursuit of over-the-top, ludicrous action and its blatant disregard for reality, it manages to stink it up just enough to be oddly enjoyable—a cult classic for fans of bad movies who appreciate a film that knows exactly how to be magnificently, laughably bad.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you realize you've been looking at something the wrong way this whole time? Yeah, that's exactly what happened in this episode.Michael from Ad Badger sat down with Abe Chomali, and they got real about something a lot of Amazon sellers don't want to admit—just because your ads are bringing in sales doesn't mean you're actually making money. They talked about why ACOS can be super misleading, how some brands are spending more and somehow making less, and why profitability is the real metric that matters. Also, did you know there's an entire eBay market for failed startup swag? Because I didn't, and now I can't stop thinking about it.We'll see you in The PPC Den!

Mr. Untouchable, a 2007 documentary directed by Marc Levin, describes the rise and fall of former New York City drug kingpin, Leroy (“Nicky”) Barnes. In the early 1970s, Barnes formed “The Council,” an organized crime syndicate that controlled a significant part of the heroin trade in Harlem. Inspired by the Italian-American mafia, Barnes became one of the most powerful and notorious figures in New York City. A flashy and flamboyant fixture on the free-wheeling social scene of the period, Barnes quickly drew the attention of law enforcement. After several unsuccessful state prosecution attempts, Barnes, along with multiple other associates, was indicted by federal prosecutors in New York in 1977. Barnes was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. Barnes, however, was released in 1998, in exchange for working as a government informant, and entered the Witness Protection Program, where he remained until his death in 2012. Barnes was also depicted in Ridley Scott's 2007 film American Gangster, which starred Denzel Washington as Frank Lucas, another notorious drug kingpin from the era. Cuba Gooding Jr. portrayed Barnes in that film. Joining me to talk about Mr. Untouchable and the Nicky Barnes case is Robert B. Fiske, Jr., Senior Counsel at Davis Polk in New York, where he previously served as litigation partner for many years. Bob Fiske is one of the most prominent and respected trial lawyers in America. He has been involved in some of the most notable cases of the last half-century, including as special prosecutor in the Whitewater controversy and the death of White House counsel Vince Foster, the Three Mile Island nuclear disaster, the antitrust suit between the USFL and. NFL, the most contentious America's Cup ever, and the financial swindler Bernie Madoff. Mr. Fiske also served as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1976 to 1980, during which time he led the prosecution of Nicky Barnes. A recap of this amazing movie! Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991) is an action-packed buddy film starring Mickey Rourke as Harley Davidson and Don Johnson as the Marlboro Man. Set in the near future of 1996, the story follows the two longtime friends as they attempt to save their favorite bar from being shut down due to rising rent prices. To help their friend and bar owner, they decide to rob a bank truck, believing it to be carrying cash. However, they inadvertently steal a new, highly addictive drug called "Crystal Dream," putting them in the crosshairs of ruthless corporate criminals. Led by the cold and calculating Alexander (Tom Sizemore), the antagonists send highly skilled assassins after Harley and Marlboro. As they fight for survival, the duo relies on their street smarts, gun skills, and unwavering loyalty to each other. The film blends action, humor, and themes of friendship, rebellion, and the changing American landscape. In the end, after intense shootouts and close calls, Harley and Marlboro part ways, each choosing to follow their own path. Though not a box-office success, the movie has since gained a cult following for its mix of '90s action and classic Americana.
https://youtu.be/xu8FrQEJLHI?si=F2ne2UvWI4vNYFiO (1) RECLAIMING YOUR HEALTH Food is a very touchy subject. I get it. I grew up in a culture where pretty much everything was a sin, EXCEPT eating. It was all we could do, and we did it enthusiastically! (2) But now we are living with the consequences. Just listen to the prayer requests in any given church. The majority is for sicknesses and illnesses. And most of it is for chronic disease that we have brought on ourselves: heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, memory loss, cancer, and the list goes on. Most of these are preventable diseases. So the big questions is this: Why do we avoid talking about food and health and how it affects us? When information is presented to us, why do we ignore, laugh, or dismiss the information? The answer is simple…we don't want to hear. Health is not dealt with in the church. We think God will take care of me, He's got this. And we keep doing what everyone else is doing. (3) Romans 12:1 says to present your bodies a living sacrifice….”living” means be among the living, enjoy real life, active, fresh, strong, efficient. Holy, acceptable, meaning well pleasing, fully agreeable. We can't help the body of Christ if we don't take the time to take care of ourselves. We need to be able to function in the capacity that God has called us to. We are in a war, both physical and spiritual. There are two types of people in a war…..Those who are sucked into it without realizing. Think of the Jews led into the camps. And those who are aware of what's going on around them and are ready to respond….Think of Pearl Harbor. There was no denying war that day. One way to stop an enemy is to make them believe they are not in a fight. The enemy is a deceiver. The Bible calls him a lion seeking whom he may devour. Who does the lion attack….the one who is not paying attention. He deceives us into thinking everything is ok. And that is what is happening in the war for our health. It's called the Great American Food Fraud. You may say, “What's the big deal? I ate fast food, candy, etc, growing up and I turned out ok.” The food that we grew up with in the 70's and 80's is NOT the same food on the shelves today. McDonald's fries used to have 3 ingredients: potatoes, beef tallow, salt. Now they have 12 ingredients! (4) The truth is we can't eat those same foods and neither should our kids. The truth is that the foods we buy in America are completely different from the same food bought in almost every other country. Why? The chemicals, ingredients and dye are not allowed in their food. That's why you can take a trip to another country, like Italy, eat all their pasta, and feel fine and probably not even gain weight on your trip. Food has become a science. A very precise, targeted, science. That box of cereal, bag of chips, soda, or whatever it may be, has had a considerable amount of time and money spent on it being studied, developed, tested, and advertised. All with one goal in mind: to get you to buy it. Not just once, but over and over again. The goal is not to make it nourishing for your body, but to get you hooked on the flavor by any means possible. That includes adding chemicals, sugar, artificial colors, forever chemicals, and anything else to appeal to your appetite. (5) I John talks about the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. It's almost like the advertising companies read the Bible! (6) In the early 90's, the American Dietetic Association was funded by Sara Lee, M&M's, and McDonalds. Today it's even worse. So who is behind all this? (7) The kids of the 80's were the last generation to grow up without social media. During that time, the Tobacco companies saw the writing on the wall, that the truth was coming out that smoking caused cancer. They had the best marketing machine. They could market to adults and make them buy something that was not good for them. Remember the Marlboro Man? Camel Joe?
I am pleased to report that the annexation petition for our Karman Line project was heard in front of Colorado Springs city council last night. Our project consists of 1783 acres that at one time formed part of the Norris Ranch. Mr. Norris was the Marlboro Man in the cigarette commercials. We bought the last remaining remnant of the Norris Ranch from Steve Norris, the son of the Marlboro man. The annexation petition passed the first reading in front of city Council late last night with a vote of 7 to 2. -------------- **Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1) iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613) Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com) LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce) YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso) Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com) **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital) Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)

Tampa Florida trial lawyer Steve Yerrid has done it all. He was a boxer in his youth and a fighter for justice in his career as a trial lawyer. Steve was the youngest member of the Tobacco “Dream Team,” which secured a $17 billion settlement from Big Tobacco and numerous changes in their business practices which have saved thousands of lives. Steve has many record setting jury verdicts. He has served as personal counsel to NY Yankees' owner George Steinbrenner. And he has given back to his community through his Yerrid Foundation. Steve has authored several books and has frequently spoken on the topic of what separates those would achieve greatness (i.e., those who have “it”) from everyone else. Join Rahul and Ben for their fascinating conversation with Steve as he shares aspects of his incredible career and things that have shaped his approach to trying cases and success in life. About Steve Yerridhttps://www.yerridlaw.com/attorneys/c-steven-yerrid/In a city like Tampa, Florida, a coastal metropolis steeped in history, the list of well-known names and larger-than-life personalities is rich and lengthy, but few names resonate with the same renown as Steve Yerrid.Yerrid, a trail-blazing trial lawyer for more than 45 years, has built a legacy that continues to evolve, fueled by a relentless desire to help as many people as possible, whether seeking and securing justice on their behalf in the courtroom or selflessly devoting his time and donating a substantial portion of his accumulated wealth to bettering the world around him. In an age where importance and social impact are measured by likes and subscribers, instead of hard work and good deeds, Steve remains a practitioner of the old ways, always leading by example and putting the needs of others first. Whether meeting each client of his firm personally or taking time to deliver much needed food to the area's most vulnerable and less fortunate, he is and has always been one-of-a-kind, a determined legal and social warrior the likes of which are a rarity in today's world.Yerrid has experienced a career of noteworthy achievements, including over 300 verdicts and settlements of $1 million or more for individuals and the families of those injured or killed by the wrongdoing of others. Among those was a jury verdict of $217 million, the largest medical malpractice award in Florida's history, and the nation's largest verdict in 2006. In 2009, he again obtained the country's largest verdict rendered in a wrongful death case that year, with a jury award of $330 million. When he was just 30 years old, Yerrid received international recognition in one of the world's largest maritime tragedies. In utilizing a rare “Act of God” defense, he was able to secure the complete exoneration of Captain John Lerro, the accused pilot in command of a large 608-foot bulk freighter which, during an unpredicted storm packing hurricane force winds, was blown off course and struck the mammoth Sunshine Skyway Bridge, collapsing its center span and tragically claiming 35 innocent lives. Not a decade has passed that Steve has not left an indelible mark. In 2010, confronted by one of the largest environmental catastrophes in history, then-Governor Charlie Crist appointed him as Special Counsel regarding the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster and its aftermath. Yerrid gave his time, costs, and efforts for nearly a year to the people of Florida as a public service. As a result, The Florida Justice Association presented him with the Outstanding Pro Bono Award, a special recognition given only every several years. Yerrid also was retained by the City of Tampa to hold BP responsible for the economic damages it sustained as a result of that disaster. He successfully obtained a $27.5 million settlement in July 2015. It was the largest recovery paid to any municipality by British Petroleum. In the 1990's, as the youngest lawyer appointed by the late Governor Lawton Chiles to an 11-member “Dream Team” of private lawyers, Steve undertook a leading role in Florida's landmark lawsuit against the previously unbeaten cigarette industry. The case resulted in the biggest monetary settlement that had occurred in U.S. history, ultimately topping $17 billion. In addition, he and the Dream Team members succeeded in obtaining unprecedented advertising concessions that permanently prevented marketing aimed at children, eliminated cigarette billboards, vending machines, Joe Camel, the Marlboro Man, and established youth tobacco prevention programs across the United States. As a result of his success, tenacity and integrity, Steve has long been sought out to take on important and precedent-setting cases. He was honored to be appointed as Special Counsel to the Office of the Chief Judge (13th Judicial Circuit) and the Florida Conference of Circuit Judges. In representing Florida's entire judiciary, he successfully argued before the Florida Supreme Court and protected state judges and staff from public disclosure of confidential records and internal communications within the court system. Yerrid is a lifetime member of the prestigious Inner Circle of Advocates, an “invitation only” organization whose membership consists of the top 100 trial lawyers in the United States. He is a past recipient of the Perry Nichols Award, bestowed by the Florida Justice Association (FJA) as its highest honor in recognition of a lifelong pursuit of justice, and in 2013, he received the Excalibur Award for exemplifying leadership and commitment at the highest level of Florida's civil justice system, an honor bestowed on only four Florida trial lawyers. In 2016, he was voted into the National Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame. Steve also is the recipient of several FJA Eagle Awards (Gold, Silver and Crystal), including recognition as the first donor to achieve the $1 million-dollar-level of giving to the FJA's educational efforts designed to protect and improve the American system of justice; currently serves as a Distinguished Fellow in the FJA; has been named Top Lawyer in the Nation by Lawyers USA; was selected by the National Law Journal as a top ten litigator; honored by the American Board of Trial Advocates a Diplomate as well as Trial Lawyer of the Year (Tampa Bay); and the recipient of numerous other honors and recognitions through his career too numerous to specifically reference. He has been continuously listed in Best Lawyer in America over the last five decades. Steve Yerrid, a Georgetown University Law Center graduate has long been one of the country's top catastrophic injury and wrongful death trial attorneys, having secured over 300 verdicts and settlements of $1 million or more. This year the jury awarded $15 million in damages to each parent for mental anguish, plus burial expenses of $7,502.00. The verdict total was $30,007,502.00. In 2006 - A $217 million verdict was obtained for the client and his family. It is the largest medical malpractice verdict in Florida's history, and the top national jury verdict of its kind in 2006. 1990s, Mr. Yerrid was selected by the late Gov. Lawton Chiles as the youngest member of the 11-member “Dream Team” of private trial lawyers. He took a leading role in Florida's landmark lawsuit against the previously unbeaten cigarette industry. The case resulted in the biggest monetary settlement in the nation's history at the time, ultimately topping $17 billion. The mantra that everyone should have a shot at happiness, success and living the American dream led to the formation of The Yerrid Foundation almost four decades ago. The self-funded family foundation has made significant donations to more than 700 causes and charitable organizations locally, nationally, and even internationally, with an emphasis on children's issues, pediatric cancer research, the welfare of veterans, and domestic abuse victims.

There aren't many stories older or more widespread than “bad decisions made for a pretty face or a hot body.” Those throbbing biological urges can kick reason and good sense right to the curb. For most of us, this is more likely to happen when we're young and, y'know, dumb. But there are some people who will always be willing to put their hands in the fire, to risk everything they have for desire. It's a trait that often goes hand-in-hand with a self-destructive recklessness that's so fundamental to your nature that it might as well be in your bones. We don't live our faith out in a vacuum. There is no such thing as a Lone Ranger, or Marlboro Man in the family of Christ. We need one another. Period. So, is our role simply to police and discipline one another? No. God's man needs men to call him up, not simply call him out. Join us for week four of Ephesians for Everyman, where we seek to live in real and authentic community as we follow Jesus.

The Marlboro Man campaign, conceived by Leo Burnett and photographed by Norm Clasen, is arguably the most iconic ad campaign every photographed. Norm's stunning iconic photography was some of my first impressions of the American West when I was young, as it was seen in just about every magazine published in the 1980's and billboards across the US. His incredible sense of story, combined with his acute eye for finding great light even in the harshest of conditions, is truly inspiring. Norm was kind enough to sit down with me to share his stories and techniques. I hope you enjoy this episode! Norm Clasen (b.1939) was born and raised in Southern California. An avid outdoorsman from an early age, Clasen's passion for photography grew from his love of the natural world. After attending the University of Colorado, Norm moved to Aspen in 1962, where he founded and ran an independent advertising agency. In 1978, a series of coincidences led to Clasen being invited to shoot for Marlboro. The campaign was a natural fit, drawing on his intrinsic understanding of horses and the cowboy way of life. Clasen would go on to spend the next thirteen years of his life as a principal photographer for the campaign. Clasen's authentic point of view helped guide the campaign to its zenith, with his work appearing in newspapers, magazines, and billboards across the world; helping shape a visual lexicon integral to the iconography of the American West. 27 years after becoming a classic dark comedy that earned seven Academy Award nominations, including Oscar wins for Joel Coen and Ethan Coen (best original screenplay) and Frances McDormand (best actress), "Fargo" is back for its fifth season as an anthology series on FX and Hulu. Showrunner Noah Hawley's latest installment of the show that premiered in 2014 presents another standalone story that remains connected with the other seasons as well as the original movie. Season 5, which premieres Nov. 21, features Jon Hamm, Juno Temple and Jennifer Jason Leigh as the latest A-list actors to join the revolving cast that has included Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Allison Tolman and Colin Hanks (season 1); Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Kieran Culkin, Patrick Wilson and Ted Danson (season 2); Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Carrie Coon (season 3); and Chris Rock and Jason Schwartzman (season 4). While the first three season received generally positive reviews from both critics and audiences, the fourth season was mixed as the show was Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 84% score from critics but a weaker 54% from audience ratings. So how good is season 5? While we keep things spoiler-free, co-host Bruce Miller screened half of the episodes and not only thinks it's the best show we'll get for the remainder of 2023, but it's at least the second best "Fargo" season to date. Miller has interviews with the three big stars as well as costume designer Carol Case and makeup department head Gail Kennedy. I've just finished watching ‘Coco Chanel Unbuttoned'.Not only did I discover Coco wasn't her real name (Gabrielle), I discovered her philosophy.Pre-Coco, high end fashion used the finest, most expensive materials, like silk, lace and satin – a visual display of one's wealth.Coco chose instead, the basic materials she'd grown up with, poor and in an orphanage.Like jersey, previously used to make men's underwear, she used it to make dresses. She did the same with the tough, knitted stripey material favoured by sailors, called tricot. The flared pants of sailors were the inspiration for her trousers for women.Strong Scottish tweeds were cut to make petite cocktail dresses. The white starchy collars and cuffs worn by waitresses were repurposed, becoming chic. And all in black and white.(The colours worn by the nuns from her childhood.)The look was dubbed the genre pauvre (the poor look).Copying Coco Chanel's designs today would be very backward looking, obviously, but copying her philosophy wouldn't be.What would inspire the genre pauvre today?Workman's materials have changed, today you could say they would be nylons, plastics, hi-vis and rubber moulding.A collection of clothes that repurposed those materials could hardly be backward looking. It's the difference between thinking and execution. In advertising, the two seem to have fused together.Something old must be old fashioned, and everybody knows old fashioned is bad, obvs.Take that old duffer Leo Burnett, what the hell could he teach us today? In the forties, his agency was nicknamed the ‘Critter Agency' due to their tendency of creating characters for their ads – The Jolly Green Giant, Tony The Tiger and the Marlboro Man to mention but a few.Look at these ads today and you'll be hard-pressed to find any relevance to your day job. Some are un-run-able.But look at the theory behind them and it's a different story.Leo believed advertising wasn't a high engagement business, it was an impressions business. And if you are working with such a small slivers of attention, using a visual symbol for the product would help people become more familiar with it, therefore becoming more likely to pick it up when they see it in stores. Not a bad rule for advertising, particularly social media, as their impressions seem to be the slightest. And for all you cool kids who say 'I never look back, only forward' ; try getting inspiration from the future. It's really hard. For the rest, check out 'Selling Creative'.A great book outlining the fifty advertising giants on whose shoulders we all stand on.Written by Mary Warlick, who, for the bulk of my time in the business ran the One Club, so it's not only thoroughly researched, it has the benefit of Mary actually knowing most of those giants she writes about. (She didn't lunch with Raymond Rubicam, but other than that...)You can pick up a copy of Mary's book here, here and all good bookshops (and a few bad ones, to be fair). We had a lovely chat, hope you enjoy.

Smoking trends started to shift with men smoking more allowing Marlboro County to become Marlboro Country. Strong, confident and independent. Dave Young: Welcome to The Empire Builders Podcast, teaching business owners the not so secret techniques that took famous businesses from mom and pop to major brands. Stephen Semple is a marketing consultant, story collector, and storyteller. I'm Stephen's sidekick and business partner, Dave Young. Before we get into today's episode, a word from our sponsor, which is... Well, it's us. But we're highlighting ads we've written and produced for our clients. So here's one of those. [Travis Crawford Ad] Dave Young: Gosh, Stephen, you shared the topic with me here on The Empire Builders Podcast, and you've got me kind of stumped. Oh, by the way, you're listening to The Empire Builders Podcast. Stephen Semple: FYI. Dave Young: I forgot to say that, but that's okay. Leave this in. This is- Stephen Semple: This is reality. Dave Young: This is reality. This is how this actually works. No, Dave got stumped. So it's not that I haven't heard of today's topic, but it's not what I thought. You said that today's topic is the Marlboro Man. It's not Marlboro's cigarettes. It's not the tobacco industry. It's the Marlboro Man. Stephen Semple: The man. Yes. Dave Young: The man. Awesome. So basically we're talking about advertising and marketing. Stephen Semple: Yes. Dave Young: It's core. Stephen Semple: That is core. Yes, we are. Dave Young: Because the Marlboro Man was not just... There's no historical figure, I don't believe. Stephen Semple: Well, there is a guy who played the Marlboro Man. And we'll talk a little bit about him, but no- Dave Young: Let's hear it. Stephen Semple: ... it's really more about the advertisement. Yes. Dave Young: Do tell. Stephen Semple: Well, the thing that's really interesting about the whole character of the Marlboro Man, it was created by Leo Burnett Agency in Chicago, and the campaign ran from 1954 to 1999, and it turned a struggling brand into a market leader by the 1960s. Marlboro became the most successful cigarette brand in the world, and by the late 1960s, it had 25% market share, and by 1970, it was selling $20 billion worldwide. That's- Dave Young: Amazing. Stephen Semple: ... a big, big number. Dave Young: To me, the story is what were they doing before the Marlboro Man that wasn't working? Stephen Semple: Well, and that's the thing, because historically speaking, the Marlboro Man was one of the most successful advertising campaigns of all time, and it's often cited as a great example of how advertising can also shape cultural values and perceptions. It's amazing how Marlboro Man hasn't been around since 1999, and yet we can say to people, Marlboro Man, and we can all recall those ads. Dave Young: Especially before, I forget what year, '77, whenever they outlawed cigarette advertising on TV and radio. Stephen Semple: Yeah, because then it was the billboard campaigns. Dave Young: Yeah. Stephen Semple: Yeah. So it's widely considered one of the most successful campaigns of all time. But what also people don't realize, it was not an overnight success. This campaign almost got pulled. In 1955, 1 year after launch, it was almost canceled due to poor sales. One year into this campaign, they're going, you know what, this isn't working. Maybe we should do something different. The other thing that's interesting is that this campaign was actually a major repositioning of the product. Marlboro started off as a female centric brand. You're asking what they did before the Marlboro Man? Dave Young: Yeah. Stephen Semple: They marketed Marlboro's to women. So talk about that pivot. They went from marketing it to women to marketing it to men. In 1924, when Marlboro was launched,

Here's a true story: James was at a party with his girlfriend. There was a hilarious, tall, and handsome dude who kept making her laugh — obnoxiously loud. She was giving him attention and practically ignoring James. And the jokes he made? They fell flat on their face — she didn't laugh at all. At first, he started to think, “Damn, I suck.” But after a while, his mind began to race with questions: Is he actually funny, or is she laughing way too hard to get his attention? Should I bring this up with her? Should I work on my own humor and social competence? Should I let go of my jealousy somehow? Or maybe I should just hit the gym and become a 21st-century Arnold? Stop. There are 3 big issues with this type of thinking. These issues potentially lead to you being emotionally manipulative — and sabotaging your relationship because of it. Traver draws upon an eclectic background ranging from work as a professional bodyguard, Mixed Martial Artist, and utilizing his Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese MEdicine and Meditation. Why we need to work to see that the current paradigm that insists that men are broken is itself broken 2. The importance of a man's ability to dance with his darkness to understand it - so that his darkness doesn't lead him blindly 3. Expanding the archetypes that men are able to embody beyond those of either the “Marlboro Man” or “The Sensitive New Age Guy 4. How women are best able to support the men in their lives in standing in their power and embracing their capacity to heal Traver provides such a vital perspective on what is required for all of us to heal our collective wounding around how we define masculinity, and we know you're going to find his ability to model integrated leadership as inspiring as we did!
