    Malini & Elana discuss theatre as catharsis, theatre as advocacy, and theatre as a process for healing. Internationally produced and recognized playwright Elana Gartner resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her work has been produced in-person and virtually. She was a recent semi-finalist for the 2021 Eugene O'Neill Conference and will be attending the Kennedy Center Playwriting Initiative later this year. During the pandemic, she founded a completely virtual socially responsible theatre, Four Walls Theater, which produced four virtual readings. Elana is attending an MFA program in playwriting and expects to graduate by the end of the year.
