The unique podcast where we do cultural apologetics all through the lens of oneism and twoism. This lens is based on Romans 1:25, "They have exchanged the truth of God for the lie, worship and serve creation rather than the Creator who is blessed forever.

Whether in the Church or the White House, at home or in our nation’s schools, many in our culture, including Christians, are facing an identity crisis. If we fall prey to the deceptive influences that tear us away from our ties to our Maker, Creator and Savior. At TruthXchange we are excited to present our latest symposium, “Stolen Identity: The Theft of the Binary in Contemporary Society,” will remind Christians that the only place we can safely ground our identity is in God, in the binary truth of Twoism, where God and the creation are distinct and where distinction is a good thing for our identity. Speakers: Stephen Chavura - Identity and The Modern Self Pamela Frost – “The Enneagram and Identity” Peter Jones – “Sexual Identity” Emilio Ramos- "The Spirituality of the Meta-universe and Personal Identity” Mark Robinson – "Contemporary Education and the Shaping of Identity” Samuel Sey - "Identity and Intersectionality" Eowyn Stoddard - "The Stolen Identity of the Modern Woman " Carl Teichrib – “The Rising Global Spirituality and the Search for Personal Identity” Mary Weller – “Transgenderism Movement” Andrea Williams – “Law and Personhood”

Mary, Peter, and Joshua discuss Greg Johnson's book "Still Time to Care." We focus on the importance of God the creator as the bedrock for how the church can be faithful in practice of worship, apologetics, and gospel ministry.Dr. Peter Jones' review is here at https://truthxchange.com/2022/03/still-time-to-care-about-the-whole-gospel/For further reading, please visit us at www.truthxchange.com
This week we wrap our discussion of patriarchy and gender. We focus in on noisy quiet times, the single life, and the so called idolatry of family.
Rebecca Jones joins us as we continue the discussion about gender roles in family and society. Some of the questions in this episode: Why is there a breakdown of the family unit? Why are young people resisting marriage and having children? Are men and women simply interchangeable? Should a woman do everything a man can do?
In this episode the truthXchange team picks up where they left off: Discussing the now controversial topic of patriarchy. Is it good for families, churches, and other public institutions? How do we think about the abuses of patriarchy? Can an ideology so often tied to misogyny and the devaluation of women actually promote true human flourishing? Listen as we cover these important questions and address these issues further in our latest episode.
Is there a link between our spirituality and how we view sex and gender roles? Is gender really all that important? This week the truthXchange team gathers to discuss why we’re made male and female, why God said that was very good, the beauty of those distinctions, and how altering our understanding of them alters our witness in the world. For more resources, please visit us at www.truthXchange.com
In October, parents in Florida filed a lawsuit against their gender confused daughter’s middle school and board because the administrators had moved forward with sexually transitioning their child without their knowledge or permission. This may seem shocking, but education and activist groups have stated clearly that parents are a liability to students if they do not immediately affirm gender confusion. This week, Joshua and Mary discuss a final children’s book used to confuse kids about gender binaries, and the model school district policy documents used to to assist schools in shepherding kids into transition, while keeping parents in the dark.
Join us today for part 5 of this classic teaching series from Dr. Peter Jones. A Historical Perspective on Paganism surveys early Greek Western culture migrating to the East and syncretizing with many of the religions and gods and goddesses. This is crucial in understanding what makes the historical Christian faith stand apart from all the other religions. According to the Christian proclamation, we do not find God by turning within, but find that God has revealed Himself in the person of Jesus the Christ. This audio series was recorded in 1998 and has some distortion.
This presentation compares the lesser-known realities of “gender transition journeys” and trans-activism with the biblical and scientific reality of who we are as essentially gendered people. This conflict of ideas affects our young. How and why should believers speak truth in love about this sensitive and emotional topic?
Join us today for part 4 of this classic teaching series from Dr. Peter Jones. The Pagan Agenda is wrapped up in obliteration of distinctions specifically the Creator and creation and of male and female. This audio series was recorded in 1998.
It has become trendy to identify social justice as a “Gospel issue,” or even as “the heart of the Gospel.” If we do not rally behind this or that social justice cause we are told we suffer from an incomplete or truncated Gospel. How can we contend for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints in this cultural moment? How do we evangelize in the age of social justice?
Do not forget that the fundamental contrast has always been, is still, and will be until the end: Christianity and Paganism, the idols or the living God.–Abraham KuyperJoin us today for part 3 of this classic teaching series from Dr. Peter Jones. We’ll examine the classic definitions and descriptions of paganism, as well as neo-paganism in today’s contemporary culture. You’ll hear the story of how Dr. Jones began using the term one-ism, and how he navigated a discussion about paganism with one of his children. This audio series was recorded in 1998.
Mark Robinson: Racism—A Failure of Faith, Hope, and Love. Simply put, racism is a form of partiality that falls short of the law of neighbor love. As such, it is an ancient sin that doesn’t require new modern categories to understand and address but a continual, fresh recognition that our commonality and solidarity is grounded in realities (i.e. the image of God) that transcend humanly defined notions of race.
What are the three rejections of the 60s, and how did they contribute to what the Church faces today? Three Rejections of the 60s is part two of a 9 part series. The audio was recorded in 1998. There are a couple of moments where there is some distortion spots that lasts for 15 seconds. Join us over the next few weeks as Dr. Peter Jones explores a revival of paganism in American culture. Dr. Jones will tackle various points of paganism, the historical perspective of paganism and trace the history of how Christian America “switched religions.” The accompanying music was a production of Dr. Peter Jones.
Jon Harris traces the history of social justice derivatives and how they parallel an Augustinian construction of confession, conversion, and a liturgy of praise and penance. It will also examine how social-justice-driven political movements have syncretized with Christianity and other religions. The main case study will be the Black Lives Matter movement. The conclusion will briefly demonstrate how synchronizing with social justice derivatives compromises Christian doctrine.

This presentation reveals the roots of the religious impulses underlying today's disorder and chaos, and then demonstrates that an orthodox Christian confession supplies the foundation necessary for a public justice that protects and promotes human flourishing for all—that is, faithful politics. The State of Our Dis-Union series of lecture can be found here. The video of this lecture can be viewed here.
Dr. Joe Boot introduces the current face of globalism, tracing its philosophical origins back to the Tower of Babel and forward throughout the history of human thought and civilization. He contrasts this with an exposition of the biblical teaching on nationalism and distinct, sovereign states. You can view this lecture from the series here. In the 1730s America experienced the Great Awakening, a revival in which thousands were convicted of sin, changed their lives, and influenced their society. A Great Awokening is now transforming social institutions and shaping future generations by convicting millions of their racism, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny. This Woke ideology has entered schools, the workplace, our language, the media, and government. Where has it come from? How do we recognize it? What should be the church’s response? Though genuine social problems exist, woke solutions only increase social division and mental health issues among our young. Will the Church resist the pressure and remain faithful to Scripture? If so, then the Great Awokening could be a precursor for another Great Awakening. You can view the lecture from the series here. You can view other lectures from the series “The State of Our Dis-Union” here.
