After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in Art and a Minor in Arts Education, she found herself depressed, spiraling down and struggling to find direction. With the motto: Action Cures Fear, she took the leap and created Passion Planner, a paper life coach, from her parents garage. Since then, Passion Planner has now helped 1,500,000 people live in their purpose with less stress and more fun. It utilizes love, gratitude and self-motivation as the primary force to propel action in people's lives. It helps intimidating projects look like adventures, failures to be seen as valuable experiences and success as remnants of a beautiful process, not the end goal.   Now, a thriving multimillion dollar company, Passion Planner gives back through a growing Get One, Give One program, donating over 500,000 planners each year to empower schools and NPOs all around the world. Her dream is to help create a world where everyone has the courage, tools, and community to build their ideal life, and work day in and day out to make those dreams a reality. Welcome to the first episode of U.B.E Chats! We wanted to get right in and introduce the minds behind the podcast and share the reasonings behind our capstone project/passion project. For those of you who may not know, both creators are affiliated with EPYC which stands for Empowering Pilipinx Youth for Collaboration and this is under NAFFAA, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations and for this organization we are both ambassadors for specific region of the world. This episode you will hear the perspective of Chachie who is an ambassador for the Pacific Island region and is actually the first Hawai'i ambassador! (crazy....right?!) but in particular, the reason behind the building of this passion project is through her advocacy of mental health within Pilipinx youth specifically allowing the youth in her community to be open in seeking resources especially being able to recognize mental health as a priority similar to our physical health. - She graduated last year in December 2020 at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a BA in Psychology and Ilokano studies. She aspires to someday be an educator teaching Ilokano language and culture to high school, and at the college level while also being a mental health advocate to high school students and her community. - Chachie's top 3 self care activities to ground herself would have to be journaling, writing stories and reading! But she enjoys taking those gallivanting adventures whether it is taking a spontaneous trip in a museum or just sitting still and attempting to reconnect with nature. She's a huge empath and a cancer moon so reflecting is basically embedded within her. - Please remember to rate, review, follow and subscribe on Apple Podcast, Itunes, AnchorFm and if you want to reach out to us with feedback, questions or just want to connect feel free to follow us on instagram! @ubechats and email us for collaboration: ubechats@gmail.com - Credits: Intro Music: Jereena Montemayor, "Filipina Girls" Outro Music: Tatiana Manaois, "Beauty Sings" --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ube-chats/message
