How can we be a vessel useful for the Lord? (2 Timothy 2:20-22) 1. Cleanse ourselves from dishonorable teaching and dishonorable living. 2. Flee from youthful lusts - things such as: pride, impatience, harshness, and contentiousness. 3. Follow after...righteousness, faith, love, and peace. 4. Surround yourself with people who are saved and are pursuing holiness.
How can we present ourselves to God as a workman who is unashamed? 1. Study the Scripture with all diligence 2. Live for the approval of God, not man3. Correctly handle His truth - cut it straight...don't deviate from it or dilute it.
2 Timothy 2:8-13…motivations to endure life's hardships…we have the Person of the gospel (v. 8), the power of the gospel (vs 9-10) and the promises of the gospel (vs 11-13).
