We'd love to hear from you about this episode.Music is a fundamental attribute of our species, appearing in almost every culture throughout history. Whether or not we can keep tune or time, humans have continued to play, sing, and hum throughout the ages. The human brain can distinguish between music and other sounds. Research shows that our nervous system reacts differently to music, with multiple studies suggesting that music may enhance human health and performance. Listening to or making music affects the brain in ways that may help promote health, manage disease symptoms, reduce stress during illness, and foster a healing response even when patients are unconscious. Music allows us to express our feelings and communicate our stories. It alters motivation levels, boosts memory and mood, and enhances athletic and cognitive performance. Our brain requires a lot of computing to make sense of music, offering a form of "exercise" for select brain cells, allowing them to process information more efficiently and effectively. Pastor Nate brings the message, "Freedom to Love” from Galatians 5:7-15. When you think of personal freedom, you might think of it as someone who gets whatever he or she wants. However, that's not freedom, but slavery to impulse and desire. Paul shows us that freedom is a Spirit-empowered ability to genuinely love and serve others.

Analisa bring the good news about the freedom we have to serve one another in humbly love. By choosing to walk by the Spirit and not by the Flesh.
Welcome back to the My Morning Devotional podcast. I hope you had a fantastic day yesterday and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Today's devotional, titled "The Freedom to Love," focuses on Galatians 5:13, reminding us to use our freedom to serve one another humbly in love, rather than indulging in fleshly desires. Let's strive to be set apart from a society that indulges in the flesh and embrace the freedom to love one another humbly. Remember, no sin is greater than another, and together, we can extend love and grace to our neighbors. Merch Drop! "Freedom to Love" 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 [11th June '23] by Servant's Church
Gospel Culture | Chris McGarvey
Freedom to Love is a newly-formed ministry that focuses on the transformative impact of human and spiritual formation to free young men from the lure of pornography. Jeremy Rohr, founder of the program and parishioner at St. Michael in St. Michael is joining us today to share some insight into how the program was developed, why it's been so impactful, and how you can get involved. http://www.freedomtolove.org/
Joanne, says, "We have the freedom to love as much and as often as we want! In fact, Paul said there's no law against it, no restrictions, no time limit. That is a lot of freedom! But what does that mean? What does that look like?” Listen as Joanne leads us in learning about this important freedom.
For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let's follow the Spirit as well. Let's not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

As Pluto moves between Capricorn & Aquarius from 23rd March till Nov 2024, issues of control versus freedom will be highlighted. Old ways of controlling by evoking fear, uncertainty & discord are dissolving, making way for new alliances & communities based on freedom to think, connect & love to whatever is good for the whole not the few. Previously closed windows are unexpectedly opened, revealing exciting, new realms to explore. Yet first, we need to break free of our own mind controls, finding the courage to fly free in the search of pure love & connection.

oday we continue our look back at Pastor Lloyd's most requested messages from last year, as Lloyd explains the importance of getting off the bench, getting into the game, being ready for the coach to call our name! Join us in First Corinthians nine.
We have available to us an imperishable crown, and we'll tell you how to obtain it today on Bridging the Gap. We are looking back at the most requested messages pastor Lloyd shared in 2022, and today, we highlight First Corinthians chapter nine, verses fifteen through twenty-seven.
Galatians Freedom to Love 5:25- 6:10
Though the scripture doesn't address every specific issue, it does provide us with what we need for life and godliness. We are given principles that we can apply in our decision making. And some of these principles are found in First Corinthians chapter eight.

These words can change your perspective. This is a powerful message of love. You have spent your life question the status quo and noticing injustice. We are products of our programming and experiences. How can we let go of relationships, pain and suffering. We talk about it all! Lifetime spiritual voyager, businessman and yogi, Troy Haded. Join us in a deep conversation about conditioning and why he believes everything comes back to God and love. Look at what you believe and question why? How he knows he is close to Christ. How to know God and the difference between knowing God and being told what God is are two very different things. Each individual really things about their own relationship to God and define what that means to them.To know better is a privilege. His biggest privilege was to be loved. Why is forgiveness unenviable? “Our mistakes are actually divine intelligence” Those are moments for someone else to learn and grow. The idea that we are a part of each other curriculum and sometimes that means losing someone we love so send them on their trajectory. The freedom to be who they are at every moment. It's important to question everything we know. How beliefs and opinions can lock us into a box. How flat earth may be a belief or the truth, who knows. What is this human experience? Maybe it's knowing one thing for sure, we are absolutely clueless and live in that space for awhile. Maybe our human experience is really a school. Why it's important to make accountability accessible so people are able to own their shortcomings and grow from them. Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley speaks of the importance of genuine fellowship that strengthens our walk with Christ. In First Corinthians eleven, the Apostle Paul is talking to a crowd that were coming together not for the better but for the worse.
The Jewish customs in the Apostle Paul's day were quite a bit different than today's standards. For example, they couldn't uncover their heads in public because it was a sign of loose morals. This carried over into their worship, as well. While the specifics may be cultural, there are some lessons that are timeless.
The city of Corinth was engaged in idolatry big time. You can see why the Apostle Paul felt the urgency to get the Gospel to them. He wanted them to put their hope in the One who made men, rather than in things made by man.
Everyone knows that athletes must subject themselves to physical training in order to prepare their bodies to be successful in their chosen sport. As we're about to see in our study of First Corinthians nine, the Apostle Paul uses this as an illustration to explain that the Christian life requires hard work. Today Pastor Lloyd explains the importance of getting off the bench, getting into the game, being ready for the coach to call our name!
How do we make decisions on issues that the Scripture doesn't specifically address? Today on Bridging the Gap we'll be considering that question. Though the scripture doesn't address every specific issue, it does provide us with what we need for life and godliness. We are given principles that we can apply in our decision making. And some of these principles are found in First Corinthians chapter eight.
Oh, how quickly the glory fades in this world. On top of the heap one day, and all the way at the bottom the next. But there is an imperishable crown, and we'll tell you how to obtain it today on Bridging the Gap. Pastor Lloyd Pulley is going verse by verse through First Corinthians and we highlight chapter nine, verses fifteen through twenty-seven today.
In today's episode, we talk about freedom of speech, and yes, we talk about Kanye.
