Journal Of Paediatrics And Child Health, 57(10), 1572-1579. https://doi.org/10.1111/jpc.15535.Presenter: Shreyas Iyer.Summary: This was a retrospective cross-sectional study which aimed to explore the issues faced by young people with a known diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) presenting to the emergency department with a mental health complaint. This study found 374 mental health presentations to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne in 2018 in which patients had a background of ASD and/or ADHD (in the age group of 7 to 17 years). This represented 28% of mental health presentations for this specified age group. Those with a diagnosis of both ADHD and ASD were more likely to require ambulance or police transport to hospital (RR 1.5).  Children with ADHD (with or without ASD) were at a higher risk of being brought to hospital under section.  The most common presentation for both the ADHD and ASD cohorts was acute severe behavioural disturbance.  Patients with ASD had a significantly increased risk of physical restraint (RR 2.8), chemical restraint (RR 2.8) and of seclusion (RR 3.3). This episode starts out my recapping some of our summer travel. Stephanie reports back on her experience on seeing the  Hanson String Theory Tour show in Pittsburg. Hanson is bringing this show to Florida to both St. Petersburg and Miami! We talk future plans for the former Artegon. Michael Dezer who now owns the property is moving part of his automobile collections into the space. Will he turn the Artegon property into something similar to his Dezerland attraction in Miami? (16:30) We talked about 4 Rivers Smokehouse last episode, and we’re talking about them again! They are bringing a food truck experience to Disney Springs as a daily offering to guests! We’re excited that a local Orlando chain will have a permanent home at Disney Springs! (21:20) Orlando has been ranked as the 14th boomtown in the U.S.A. by MagnifyMoney. We talk about the growth in Orlando including Amazon’s new fulfillment center in Lake Nona and their effort to bring 1,500 jobs to Central Florida. We also talk about Lucky’s Market which a grocery store that is quickly expanding in Central Florida.  (24:00) Stephanie reports on her visit to the Player One bar off Palm Parkway in the Lake Buena Vista area. This unique bar is all about video games! Listen in for full details. (35:40) We both talk about our experience with hosting Couch Surfers and AirBnb guests. Brian reports on his experience at King Boa, a delicious restaurant in Mills 50 - definitely a place not to be missed! (42:40).
