Santa came early because your much-needed breath from the psychosis of the news cycle is here. But who needs Santa when you have... BATWOMAN. Tune into this inquisitive yet fun, provocative conversation with actress Javicia Leslie here to talk about her new Paramount film "Double Life." Javicia, who you've seen on The CW's "Batwoman" as the title role and "The Flash," gives super thoughtful takes on the infidelity trope as she plays the other woman. Both on and off screen, she leads by example with her non-victim mentality. She asks: Why NOT indulge woman-on-woman drama since it's real? And of course you'd expect to hear "monogamy isn't natural" coming from a dude. But to change things up: enter, Javicia. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/taylor-ferber/support

The Aussie couple initially fell in love in 2008, a wild era when everyone was accused of being a “fake lesbian.” Eight years later, they reunited, and their grand displays of affection and combined beauty made them 'couple goals' for many. However, shippers were bummed to learn the relationship was rockier than it appeared. We dive into the rift their love caused between Jess and her twin sister, Lisa, wondering why lovers may compete with family and friends. Plus, we ask—how would you react if your ex commented on a picture of your new relationship? Join us as we explore the seemingly hard feelings, and speculate about Ruby's upcoming memoir. ***** Significant Lovers is a true-love podcast about historic and celebrity couples. The Arrowverse is dead. Arrow has ended. The Flash is ending, Stargirl is Gone. Batwoman? Lois and Clark's future is unknown. But Gotham Knights is here to avenge, well someone's death (Batman's). While not directly based off the recent video game it shares a lot. Chris and Steve talk about the interesting choices, the semi obscure characters used (to great effect) and discuss if a season 2 would, or should be in the cards. All this plus a 30 second pitch that includes a lot of Spiderman... and a reference to the Trouble comic series.
A new DC TV show for The CW arrives tonight as we are returning to Gotham City, but a very different version this time around. Tonight, Gotham Knights finally premiere on The CW, which follows the story of Bruce Wayne's adoptive Turner Hayes and a group of troubled teenagers who get framed for Batman's murder. As they have to clear their name, these individuals will also, along the way, become known as the Gotham Knights, the city's next generation of heroes. The Flash Podcast and Multiverse of Color's Andy Behbakht recently had the honor of chatting with showrunners and creators Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, who is taking on their fourth DC TV show, following Gotham, Krypton, and Batwoman. Throughout the interview, the duo goes into depth about constructing this show, creating a new mythology in the Batman lore, how the Court of Owls is tackled in Gotham Knights and much more! “Pilot” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLSV) (HDTV) SERIES PREMIERE — Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman's enemies: Duela Doe (Olivia Rose Keegan), aka The Joker's Daughter, an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the “Gotham Knights.” Also starring Rahart Adams as Brody March. Danny Cannon directed the episode written by Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash & James Stoteraux (#101). Original airdate 3/14/2023. Every episode of GOTHAM KNIGHTS will be available to stream on The CW App and CWTV.com the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.” Gotham Knights premiere TONIGHT at 9/8c on The CW! The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City. Thank goodness Gideon and the Waverider are shielded from EMP's! Red Death reveals that she is from a different timeline. She was adopted by the Wayne family and became Batwoman. Much like the Red Death in the comics, she got tired of criminals and wanted to prevent crime. Through studying other heros tech and meta powers, she was able to creat her own armor and Speed Force. Her timeline's Flash & Rogues didn't approve and fought back, starting a war that she couldn't win, so she tried to hide in the Speed Force but it rejected her artificial speed and threw her out into our world. She needs our Barry to open the portal to her timeline by using the Cosmic Treadmill as it needs organic speed force energy. Iris figures out her story, but before she can do anything, Red Death knocks her down and drags her to where Barry is held, forcing him to run or he loses her. After some convincing, Mark sneaks in to help Barry out and he chooses to switch sides. With the treadmill ruined and no way home, Red Death and her Rogues are declairing war on the Flash and this world. Cougar's Comic Corner Dark Nights: Death Metal Speed Metal #1 https://a.co/d/hDdYECf It's the drag race from hell in this one-shot tie-in to Dark Nights: Death Metal! Taking place after the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal #3, the Darkest Knight is after Wally West and his Dr. Manhattan powers. Netflix's Ginny + Georgia has been viewed a total of over 504 million hours, and at the crux of all that success, is actress Brianne Howey, who delivers a one-of-kind, head-turning performance as Georgia Miller, the sweet cherry on top of this two-season-to-date series that is defying demographics. Since appearing in Fox's The Passage, Hulu's Dollface, The CW's Batwoman, Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here, Horrible Bosses, and more, Howey was meant for the role of Georgia: single mother with a deeply dark past, abundance of personality, endless energy, slew of survival skills, back pocket wit, gorgeous smile and spot-on Southern drawl that has people believing it's her own. (It's not). On episode 126 we go behind the scenes with Brianne to talk about ALL the Ginny + Georgia things. We discuss Georgia's "performative" personality and powerful voice, what makes her character one that's filled with the kind of contrasting traits that makes fans of all kinds fall in love with her, and those "sticky subjects" and "social and cultural blinders" her character is known for. We talk her beloved relationship with her co-star Antonia. Then there are the details of the show's idyllic town, inclusive cast of characters, and serious subject matter--- all served alongside a serious dose of humor---that Brianne gives backstory to. She shares how cast, crew, and creators feel and first felt while making Ginny + Georgia, how it's touched lives, and the the two important entities the show relies upon in order to tell their stories responsibly. We get into Ginny + Georgia's secret sauce, how Brianne transitions in and out of her sometimes "exhausting" character, how she landed the part just as her husband was about to propose, and working on a show she pridefully deems "art and argument". We head back to childhood and early years, when she favored the stage while her siblings favored sports, her time as an acting student in New York City, how television inspires her, how reading grounds her, and we of course get into a list of some of her most favorite things. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City, but we might need to take a trip to Gotham City. It seems that Team Flash has learned from Lucas Fox that Ryan Wilder a.k.a. Batwoman has been missing for a few weeks. The tech that Red Death's Rogues are using are based off of Wayne Enerprise designs but is way more advanced. Barry thinks Red Death (named by Goldface), is the new Negative Speedforce Avatar. But he has no clue yet that Red Death is Ryan. Red Death's Rogues have been gathering parts for a Cosmic Treadmill, but they need one more to finish it. Barry & Hartley bring together The Hotness, Chill-Blaine, and Goldface to steal the quantum vibration engine first. All is going according to plan, until Mark betrays them. It seems Red Death promised him a way to bring back Frost and he fell for it. We got to see Barry & Iris checking off another item on their babymoon list and they had good communication as a couple, whereas Chuck and Allegra need help in that department. Khione confronts Allegra about it who is missing Frost's big sister advice, but Khione helps her admit she has strong feelings for Chuck although she is not ready to call it love yet.
