For this episode, I was very grateful to meet up with two bass fishing legends on the shores of the Mississippi, Mike McClelland & Brett Hite. We had a great conversation talking everything bass fishing. The stories these two have from a careers worth of professional fishing experience (filled with accomplishments most only dream to accomplish) was priceless, especially being someone who's looked up to these two since I was a kid. Brett Hite is a 6 time Bassmaster Classic qualifier with 5 national tournament wins and almost 2 million dollars in tournament earnings. B Hite started his career as a west coast finesse angler but today you can't talk about a bladed jig without mentioning his name. Brett Hite has arguably been more dominant with that technique than any other angler on earth. This week he joins the podcast to talk about that and a whole lot more. This is truly one of the most open and honest conversations we have ever had on this show.

We had the pleasure of interviewing FRENSHIP over Zoom video! FRENSHIP (James Sunderland and Brett Hite) make wide-angle pop songs that are realized in the moment, shaped by diverse inspirations: the brash, bold innocence of 80s pop; the experimental streak of 90s hip-hop; and, not to mention, the songwriting chops of stadium-filling superstars. Their songs are painted in bold, bright colors, packed with harmonies and unshakeable hooks that connect with a global audience. FRENSHIP's debut album Vacation, released May 17, 2019, via Counter Records (part of the Ninja Tune family), followed the explosive interest which has greeted the music they have released so far, including the 2016 global hit “Capsize” with Emily Warren.2021 will see FRENSHIP return with a renewed sense of energy and creativity full of the undeniable melodies fans have found to know and love.We want to hear from you! There are big ships and small ships, but the best of all is Frenship! This Los Angeles-based electro-pop duo met selling stretchy ladies’ garments at Lululemon and experimented with their sound before honing in on the ’80s-inspired, high-energy dual vocals that now define them. James Sunderland and Brett Hite’s single “Capsize” went viral in June 2016, streaming more than 18 million times on Spotify within a month of its release and earning a nod as a contender for Spotify's Song of the Summer. “Once the song came out and we started playing concerts, we realized how big it had become because the houses were packed and everyone was singing along,” Hite told The Fairfax Times. “We had this big song and we weren’t really prepared for it.” By the time Frenship released its debut EP “Truce" and dropped the video in September, Capsize was (unfortunately) on its way to being named among Billboard’s 20 most underrated pop songs of the year. Going platinum just two weeks back, though, may bring some consolation. Set List: - "1000 Nights" - "Carpet" - "Kids" - "Capsized" For more, visit wcpo.com/loungeacts
