Welcome to the twenty-nine official episode of Off Da Binge!
I'm Chris, this is the Downtime Podcast and you're tuned into our 2025 Lenzerheide pre-race show with Chris Kilmurray. If you're listening, that means that like me, you probably LOVE the sport and want to know as much as possible about what's going on. That's exactly what we are here to do. Throughout the season, we'll be bringing you analysis and insights that you won't hear elsewhere. However, as you probably know, the mountain bike industry isn't in a great place right now and as a result, this series doesn't have any brand support. The World Cup coverage is the most expensive thing I produce, as it often includes travel and I like to pay the guys for the expertise that they bring to the table. So I've been funding it myself, along with the support of our wonderful Patreons. If this show means something to you, and you want to help me keep it going, then please consider supporting us over on Patreon. You can sign up for as little as £3 a month at patreon.com/downtimepodcast. That's less than the price of a coffee, but it makes a real difference. The more of you who chip in, the more likely it is that we can keep doing this. I know times are tight. But if you value what we're creating here, if it helps you stay connected to the sport you love, then now's the time to chip in and help out. A big thanks to all the Patreon's who came along to our 'ask me anything' with Chris, Neko and Olly last week, I hope you all had fun. This week we're off to Lenzerheide for round 8 of the 2025 World Cup. With the season heading into its final stretch, every point counts and the pressure's at boiling point. Who's on form, and who's going to crack? As always there's heaps to dive into, so sit back, hit play and listen to this Lenzerheide pre-race show with Chris Kilmurray.

Marjetka Rangus (Fakulteta za turizem Univerze v Mariboru), »sanjač slovenskega turizma« Dominik S. Černjak (Turistična zveza Slovenije) in etnologinja, kulturna antropologinja in zgodovinarka doc. dr.

Roman Kuhar, Filozofska fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani; dr. Maruša Bradač, Fakulteta za matematiko in fiziko Univerze v Ljubljani; dr. Matjaž Ličer, Agencije RS za okolje.

In this episode of Identified, Nabil Ayers is joined by acclaimed musician and author Neko Case for a powerful, wide-ranging conversation about inherited silence, cultural disconnection, and what it means to choose your own family. Neko shares the experience of growing up with emotionally unavailable parents—her mother absent by choice, her father quietly burdened by trauma—and the deep loneliness that shaped her early years. She reflects on the generations of silence in her Ukrainian family, including the erasure of language and identity, and the heartbreak of losing family records in a house fire. In a surprising and moving twist, Neko recounts discovering a great-aunt—professional wrestler Ella Waldek—through a documentary. Their connection offered a rare sense of validation, visibility, and power within a lineage that otherwise remained unspoken. The conversation explores found family, the responsibilities of being a stepparent, and how Neko has redefined her role within a fractured past.
