I'm Chris Hall, this is the Downtime Podcast, and you're tuned into your World Cup post-race show this time with Neko Mulally and Chris Kilmurray. Before we get into it, a quick ask… if you enjoy these shows and want them to keep happening, we really need your support. This series is fully independent, we don't have brand backing. Putting it together means paying Chris, Neko and Olly for their time, and getting to races where possible to bring you the best coverage we can. It's a big commitment, and it only works because of you. Last season, a few hundred of you stepped up and made it happen and we'd love to build on that this year. So if you're into World Cup downhill and want the best insight going, head to patreon.com/downtimepodcast and support from as little as £3 a month. It genuinely makes a difference. We'll also be bringing back things like our mid-season Patreon hangout with Chris, Neko and Olly, so you can get involved directly too. The racing in Lenzerheide was as intense as the sun that’s been hitting the track all week long. Riders tried to find the perfect line between enough and too much and those that did were rewarded. We crowned new winners, some overalls changed hands and there’s lots to dig into. So sit back, hit play and listen to this Lenzerheide post-race show with Neko Mulally and Chris Kilmurray. Podcast Stuff Thanks Thanks to Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide for helping us get here this week and to Hotel Waldhaus for hosting our recordings. Patreon I would love it if you were able to support the podcast via a regular Patreon donation. Donations start from as little as £3 per month. That's less than £1 per episode and less than the price of a take away coffee. Every little counts and these donations will really help me keep the podcast going and hopefully take it to the next level. To help out, head here. Merch If you want to support the podcast and represent, then my webstore is the place to head. On this episode of Fishing the DMV, we head back to one of the most legendary smallmouth bass fisheries in the country: the New River. I'm joined by longtime guide Ethan Stone of New River Outdoor Company for a full summer smallmouth bass fishing breakdown.Ethan explains how the New River has been fishing after an unusually low-water spring, how post-spawn smallmouth are setting up, and why June can be one of the best topwater months of the entire year. We dive into current river conditions, water levels, low and clear water adjustments, and how to target both numbers of fish and true New River giants. If you fish for river smallmouth, this episode is packed with information on how to break down moving water, riffles, ledges, current seams, slow deep pools, grass beds, shade lines, and summertime feeding windows. Ethan also shares his thoughts on topwater baits, buzzbaits, Whopper Ploppers, wacky rigs, flukes, Ned rigs, Neko-style hellgrammites, natural presentations, and how to approach pressured New River smallmouth. We also discuss how bigger smallmouth use shallow fast water to feed, why they may still live in deeper pools during the summer, how grass and shade become key factors as the water warms, and what conditions usually produce the biggest fish of the summer. If you're looking for New River smallmouth fishing tips, summer river smallmouth patterns, topwater smallmouth bass techniques, New River fishing reports, or ways to catch more smallmouth in Virginia, this is an episode you do not want to miss.In this episode, we cover:Current New River fishing conditionsSummer smallmouth bass patternsPost-spawn smallmouth behaviorWhy June is a great topwater monthHow low, clear water changes the biteBest baits for New River smallmouthRiffles, ledges, current seams, grass, and shade linesHow big smallmouth use slow deep poolsBuzzbaits vs. Whopper PloppersWacky rigs, flukes, Ned rigs, and natural plasticsNew River forage including crawfish, hellgrammites, madtoms, bluegill, and rock bassWade fishing safety and summer river fishing adviceWhether you fish the New River, Shenandoah River, Upper Potomac, Susquehanna River, or any other smallmouth river in the Mid-Atlantic, this conversation will help you better understand how river smallmouth set up during the summer and how to catch them more consistently.Check out New River Outdoor Company if you want to book a guided smallmouth trip with Ethan Stone and experience one of the best smallmouth bass fisheries on the East Coast. Please support Fishing the DMV on Patreon!!! https://patreon.com/FishingtheDMVPodcast If you are interested in being on the show or a sponsorship opportunity, please reach out to me at fishingtheDMV@gmail.com Check out New River Outdoor Company website down below: http://www.icanoethenew.com/?fbclid=IwAR0q8FzEE0cuPLY2epfs1b80nuRe88eGYZuCUCuVNzQ4YiT0shwiEPR66eANew River Outdoor Company phone number: 540-921-7438New River Outdoor Company email: info@newriveroutdoorco.comNew River Outdoor Company social media handles: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewRiverOutdoorCompany?mibextid=LQQJ4dInstagram: https://instagram.com/newriveroutdoorco_?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==LMD Enterprises: http://lmdoil.com/ Jake's bait & Tackle Website: http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/ Link to Tactical Fishing Company: https://tacticalfishingco.com/ Fishing Pro Tech: https://www.facebook.com/FishingProTech Phone Number: (757) 566-1278 Email: lin@fishingprotech.us Fishing Pro Tech Address: 7812-A Richmond Road, Toano, VA, United States, 23168 Flint Financial Planning: https://bit.ly/43t8h5N Max4 Fishing: https://bit.ly/4unuiOsSupport the show

Tā ir jūsu naudu, jūs negribat to uzdāvināt kādam.
In this episode of Before the 1st Cast, we break down everything you need to know about mastering the Neko rig and why it's one of the most effective finesse presentations you can throw when bass are being pressured, cautious, or locked up tight to cover. We cover how the nose-weighted setup creates a unique bottom posture that bass can't ignore, how to rig it properly so your soft plastic stays clean and balanced on every cast, and why weedless setups are the key to fishing it in the high-percentage spots where big bass actually live. We also get into how to read the retrieve and let the fish tell you how much action they want, plus how line selection and leader strength can make or break your results. With FreshBaitz soft plastics like the HellaMite, Fresh Scorpion, Fresh Beetle, and FreshBaitz Lizards paired perfectly with this technique, you'll have everything you need to get bit when the bite gets tough.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/bass-cast-radio--1838782/support.Become a Patreon memebet now for less then a pack of worms you can support Bass Cast Radio as well as get each epsiode a day early & commercial free. V zadnji bomo govorili o tematskem sklopu Klanec nekoč, danes, vedno? in primerjali, iskali vzporednice in razlike ter razmišljali o glavnih likih in sporočilih obeh obveznih del: romanov z naslovom Na Klancu avtorjev Ivana Cankarja in Tine Vrščaj. Kakšni sta osrednji protagonistki romanov, Francka in Eva – kaj ju najbolj označuje, kaj ju vodi naprej in kje so ključne razlike med njima? Sta konca romanov optimistična? Sta obe deli, tudi Cankarjevo, še danes aktualni in kakšno sporočilo predajata mladim? In ali usojenosti klanca res lahko pobegnemo? O vsem tem z gosti, dijakinjami 4. letnika ljubljanske Gimnazije Poljane – to so: Patricija Gosar, Laura Petrin, Mia Ratoša Rigler, Iva Tomašić, Neja Brumen, Gaja Skala, Dunja Velebit in njihovim profesorjem Vidom Skrbinškom. Poglavja: 00:03:59 Izbor letošnjih del za maturo 00:06:43 Kaj zahteva pisanje eseja? 00:10:04 Družbeno ozadje nastanka romanov 00:12:12 Bistvene podobnosti in razlike romanov 00:13:56 Oznake romanov 00:15:06 Enak naslov - drugačna začetnica 00:16:43 Simbolni pomen klanca 00:18:28 Kako se klanca v romanih razlikujeta? 00:21:26 Francka in Eva 00:25:10 Vloga matere 00:30:57 Odnos do družbe, sočloveka, revščine 00:33:53 (Ne)odnos z očetom 00:34:44 Francka in Tone Mihov, Eva Krhlikar in Gregor 00:42:08 Tišina v odnosih 00:44:38 Slikar in Tomaž 00:49:27 Lahko determinizem presežemo? 01:08:18 Aktualnost romanov 01:09:23 Kaj romana predajata mladim? 01:13:43 Subjektivnost in kritičnost pri pisanju eseja
You were just trying to enjoy a quiet drive… Long road. Open sky. A little peace. …until your neko girlfriend noticed something "wrong" with the car. Don't worry, she used to work in IT. She's got this. Probably. A cozy, chaotic audio about curiosity, confidence, and what happens when someone tries to fix a problem they almost understand.

The only thing Grammy-nominated musician Neko Case craves more than crisp-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside popovers is Hungarian food from a 61-year-old restaurant in Ohio. Neko tells host Rachel Belle about her favorite Eastern European dishes and how eating at The Balaton helped her reconnect with her long-lost heritage. But back to popovers! We're joined by a pastry chef who baked thousands of popovers every day, five days a week, for five years at Acadia National Park's Jordan Pond House, the popover epicenter of the United States.
