Charles Horton, a Texas business maverick, launched his first business at a New Mexico flea market at the age of 16 and was a self-made millionaire at 30. His financial retail group was twice featured in the INC 500 as one of the fastest-growing corporations in America. A serial entrepreneur, angel investor, motivational speaker and firewalk instructor, Charles ended up buying F.I.R.E., the business that taught Tony Robbins how to firewalk. Charles is one of only 6 Certified Master Firewalk instructors in the world. He has taught thousands of people how to firewalk and face their fears. What prompted me to launch a business when I was 16. Why I finally firewalked after being absolutely terrified of doing so. What made me close shop in Dallas and start a brand new life in South Florida. http://www.charleshorton.com/ (www.charleshorton.com)

The true Diva Amber Rogers is back for Part 2 of her unique life story. She tells us that her intention of sharing her powerful story is to save lives. She has been misdiagnosed many times and many times gets treated for addiction even though she suffers from mental illness. Amber is very aware of her illness and sometimes can treat it better than any professional. We talk about her experience when she went on the Dr. Phil show https://www.drphil.com/.There were exciting moments like being flown to Los Angeles, being picked up in a limo etc. The realization set in quickly, that the producers were just in it to create a shocking show. They even made a 2 part series out of her life story. Gabrielle discusses how she felt watching her friend on the show. We discuss Amber’s 90 day stay in a rehab center, that the Dr. Phil Show sent her to, which is considered the best treatment center in the world. Her experience in the sober house, right after she completed treatment, made her very uncomfortable because people got caught with drugs and it was very chaotic, and threatening to her sobriety.Because Amber left the sober house, the Dr. Phil Show left her stranded in Florida and have never once checked on Amber. She had to figure out how to get the money to fly back home. Before she went on the show they said they would follow her progress and have her back on the show and set her up for success. None of that happened. We all feel very let down by the fact that Dr. Phil seems to care so much, yet in reality he doesn’t show compassion at all, and just cares about ratings.Amber tells us about her work with Charles Horton and the Boardroom. https://www.boardroomlesson.com and that she is now a firewalking instructor. We end the show with Marcella telling us how she started designing swimsuits, how people should never retire and that women should be able to wear anything they want and to teach boys and men to be respectful to women.
I first had the privilege of hearing Charles Horton speak at Erin Smith's Entrepreneur Summit. I'm so glad I continued to cross paths with this man through other friends and his awesome monthly event, The Boardroom. As a business leader and investor, Charles runs a multi-million dollar personal finance business, the foundation of which he began when he was 15 years old with a check-cashing business that soon became a check verification company. That company became SmartCheck, the 8th largest check verification company in the U.S. Charles has since gone on to invest in and start numerous other successful businesses. But that just scratches the surface of what he does and the lives he impacts. From running his Shark Tank-like monthly Boardroom event to Firewalking and walking with lions, we cover an incredible amount of Charles' amazing story in this interview.
Charles Horton is the author of Ignite the Secret, a Firewalking Master Instructor, and a self made millionaire. This show will inspire and challenge you to think about your life in a different way. Charles Horton has been a successful entrepreneur as early as 13 when he ran a landscaping business. He then ventured into his first big business at the age of 16 when he started cashing checks at a local flea market. He hasn't looked back since, selling his first company at 30, and then starting several others right after. Charles new venture has him on pace to meet his next goal, which is to be a billionaire by the time he turns 50. I loved sitting down with Charles to learn more about how he has been so successful. Here are just a few of the things you will learn in this episode: How Charles took his first business from an idea to a multi-million dollar sale Why he feels mentoring others is crucial, and why he thinks you should always be seeking mentors Why changing his mindset from telling others what to do to creating a company of owners, made his companies more successful. Why embracing fear became one of the biggest keys to success. You can find more about Charles at CharlesHorton.com.
