Have you wanted to give Fly Fishing a try? We talk about what to expect for first-time fly fishing! Do you love cooking meat but have trouble getting the seasoning right? We've got an insight into why and how the chefs season beef to venison to chicken to fish and more. This is Rebecca Wanner aka BEC and Jeff ‘Tigger' Erhardt with the radio show The Bend Show, your news outlet for the latest in the Outdoors & Western Lifestyle! Be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcasting app or on The Bend Show YouTube channel. EPISODE 142 DETAILS BEC & Tigger intro the show, sharing that Tigger has had his gallbladder removed. He is now recovering slowly and will be watching his diet and will need to slowly reintroduce foods. Health is upon us to monitor. It is our responsibility to take care of ourselves as there are no other more valuable assets in your operation, in your business, or to your family. Please use this as a reminder to do wellness checks yearly! Welcome to your Outdoors & Western Lifestyle news outlet, The Bend Radio Show & Podcast available on SiriusXM Rural Radio Channel 147, AM / FM Radio, and on all Podcast Players. SPOTLIGHT It's Hot, Kids are getting antsy, and parents or the sitter's nerves may seem frayed and wondering what to do with them. Turns out that instead of tossing a new video game or downloading another app for kids to play… Pull out the Board Games! Scientists studied several groups of 9-year-olds only to discover that hands down, children that played board games had higher math scores than those who did not. Board Games enhanced not just mathematical abilities for young children, but also improved strategy effects on basic and complex math skills, plus added to positive cognitive and developmental skills. So there ya have it! Pull out the Monopoly, The Game of Life Game or one of our favorites, especially if you grew up on a farm or ranch, the Farming Game and let the kids go wild! https://farmgame.com/ NEWS Iceland - If venturing to Iceland anytime soon and want an experience as unique as can be… For $400 per night, you can spend the night in the middle of an Iceland Forest inside a bubble. Yes, that's correct BUBBLE. The Buubble by Airmango offers guests the opportunity to sleep in bubbles that are heated, have electricity, a king size bed with bedding, a lamp, and a small bench with a nearby cabin offering bathrooms and other amenities. This has BEC wondering, what can she charge for sleeping on her picnic table with an air mattress… Food for thought. Aspartame, Healthy or Not? The World Health Organization is reviewing if they may soon label the artificial sweetener Aspartame as a possible carcinogen. Aspartame is used to sweeten Diet Coke, Coke Zero, chewing gum, breakfast cereals, ice cream, and Diet Snapple for example. It's also known as NutraSweet, Equal, and Sugar Twin. Regardless of the decision, it is always a good idea to keep an eye on those “ingredient labels” when grocery shopping! Beer For A Better Tan? Have you heard of this latest Tik Tok trend, pouring beer on oneself in order to achieve a better tan? If you have or have not, this is a HECK NO from BEC. Experts have weighed in on this trend and it has been debunked. The Beer has of course NO SPF protection and actually ATTRACTS bugs and bees. Be Safe - Smear on the Sunscreen and Drink the Beer! Bunny Take Over The New York Post has reported that Wilton Manors, Florida is being overrun by Lionhead Rabbits. A bunny breeder in Fort Lauderdale illegally let loose the rabbits before they started multiplying on the street. Hundreds of rabbits are now living in the backyards of homes in Wilton Manors. The bunnies have a shaggy mane and resemble lions. Some families are feeding the rabbits while others consider them a nuisance as the bunnies are digging holes in the nice lawns. The estimated cost to catch and rehome the rabbits would be $40,000. If you've not heard of the Lionhead rabbits before, here's a little more insight. Lionhead Rabbits may be small in stature as they only reach 2.5-3.5 lbs, however, are active! They grow to about 8-10 inches at adult size and life expectancy is 8 to 10 years. Fly Fishing? Can Anyone Fly Fish? Angler or Not; there is always something about fishing that is a tried and true, lifetime sport. Have you ever tried to Fly Fish? Sometimes the thought of such a simple rod yet the long lengths of line flying back and forth can seem a bit overwhelming. We remember movies such as "A River Runs Through It" where Brad Pitt, and Anthony Hopkins share the tale of two brothers in rural Montana spending quite a bit of time Fly Fishing. Brad Pit, a Missouri native himself, never learned how to fly fish growing up. A little-known fact is that actually the music legend Melissa Etheridge taught actor Brad Pitt to fly fish in her swimming pool! Etheridge herself also grew up in the Midwest and loves not just fishing but is a huge Fly Fishing Fan. (A little "Did you know??" for the entertainment fans!) EMBED:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsIolBViUmc Tigger visits with Justin Hampton who is an active outdoorsman, and rancher and helps out on The Bend Show offering field reports from the Ozarks and Missouri area. Justin Hampton recently went on his first Fly Fishing excursion and shares what was surprising and what was or was not fun. Yes, Fly Fishing is often referred to as an "Artform of Fishing". This is a great first beginner's take and another example that we are ALL capable of trying new hobbies at any time in life! The Bend Field Staffer: Justin Hampton Contributor to: Ozark Traditions TV Facebook: @OzarkTraditionsTV https://www.facebook.com/OzarkTraditionsTV COOK MEAT LIKE PROFESSIONAL CHEFS HOW TO SEASON MEAT Have you ever watched cooking shows like Rachael Ray or Gordon Ramsey and his Hell's Kitchen, for example… Watching closely, have you noticed how when seasoning meats such as beef, pork, venison, chicken, fish… really any meats; these chefs hold their arms high in the air, generously sprinkling the seasoning over the meat? Did you think it was just for theatrics? Done for more “Showmanship” to draw more attention to “Wow - we're seasoning!”? Turns out there is actually a REASON for that high-arm technique. Meat is seasoned with the arm high in the air in order to evenly distribute the seasoning over the meat. Even seasoning a dish or meat can be very tricky. This technique of holding the seasoning higher allows for gravity to work with the swirl motion and results in more uniformly seasoned meat. Give it a try, you will be surprised! The only downfall is yes, you will need a slightly bigger prep area as it can get a bit messy but give this tip a try! In this episode, we talk about Jim's big wedding weekend and how Bobby being sick almost ruined it. Wish we could say the same for the groom, who has no indication of any sickness. Here are 5 reason we hate the Turkey trot!!Turkey Trot, also known as the country mile or turkey run, is a running event that takes place in Thanksgiving week. It's typically a two-mile race across open fields, and it can be quite tough on the body. Here are five reasons why Turkey Trot sucks:1) The terrain is usually hilly and uneven.2) The heat indices are often high during this time of year.3) There's nothing to eat during the race except for energy bars or bananas.4) Running one mile can take up to an hour and a half (especially if you're racing).5) And worst of all... there's no redemption for poor performance! So even if you finish last, you still have to go back out there and run another mile!Support the showInstagramTwitterBobby's Only Fans#gaypodcast #podcast #gay #lgbtq #queerpodcast #lgbt #lgbtpodcast #lgbtqpodcast #gaypodcaster #queer#instagay #podcasts #podcasting #gaylife #pride #lesbian #bhfyp #gaycomedy #comedypodcast #comedy #nyc #614 #shesnotdoingsowell #wiltonmanor #notwell

She's Not Doing So Well - Gay Perspective On Everyday Life

On this Episode Bobby & Jim Go to Wilton Manors Florida and get into good trouble for Jim's Bachelor weekend and Birthday. They end up at Cannonball Bash which is for Chubs and chasers . They also got into some trouble at the eagle party . Will they make it out alive? While there, they ended up at Cannonball Bash, a weekend party for Chubs and chasers in the gay community. They also took off their clothes at The Eagle, a bar known for its dark rooms and endless nights. Bobby ended up being a total Sub (Submissive) for a night and even bought a shirt that said "Sub in training" off the back of someone at Cannonball bash. Lets talk about that. First, Lets define some thingsWhat is a Chub? A chub is a type of gay man who is overweight or obese. Chubs often have big bellies, big thighs, and large arms and shoulders. They also tend to have narrow hips and wide feet. What is a Bear? The bear concept can function as an identity or an affiliation, and there is ongoing debate in bear communities about what constitutes a bear. Some bears place importance on presenting a clear masculine image and may disdain or shun men who exhibit effeminacy, while others consider acceptance and inclusiveness of all behavioural types to be an important value of the community. Some people believe that the term "bear" originated within gay male culture to describe a larger and often hairier man who projects an image of rugged masculinity. Others claim that the term has broader application, referring to anyone who identifies with its gritty, no-nonsense vibe. In any case, it's safe to say that this influential subculture has left its mark on popular culture – and not just through drag queens lip-synching Sandy Duncan! What is a Chaser? A gay chub chaser is someone who, for recreational or sexual purposes, pursues an obese person. This can include anything from intentionally pursuing an obese person in public to sending them unsolicited images or messages. Because this type of behavior is considered predatory and illegal, it's important to be aware of the dangers involved and take precautions if you find yourself being targeted by a gay chub Chaser. What is Cannonball Bash? Largest chub/chaser event weekend in the United States! The Cannonball Events Team has been hard at work making arrangements for a fun-filled extended event weekend, filled with fun and surprises for everyone.Between the sights and sounds of Miami, the beautiful beaches of Fort Lauderdale and a host of other attractions, it will be a weekend that no one will soon forget.Lets just say it was an eventful weekend. In this episode of Not Well, Bobby and Jim discuss a variety of topics, including working at party city as a teenager and only wanting to work to be able to pay for Arby's mozzarella sticks. Jim can't stand it when people don't pick up on social cues and they discuss in detail their trip to Wilton Manors. We dig into that plus Bobby working at party city as a teenager and only wanting to work to be able to pay for Arby's mozzarella sticks. Jim can't stand it when people don't pick up on social cues and they discuss in detail their trip to Wilton Manors. We also discuss Jim's upcoming wedding including Bobby's trip to mens warehouse and what he experienced there. Also, did you know, according to some people, gay people actually don't exist...its a fad! Taylor Swift is one of the most popular singers in the world, and for good reason. She has a unique voice that is sure to captivate her fans. But what happens when her fans become so dedicated to her that they lose all sense of reality? That's exactly what's been happening to some of her die-hard fans lately, and it's turning deadly. why are they so psychotic? Don't worry, we also rip on some republican idiot women who honestly should go back to the 1800's.  Candace Owens is an American black conservative political commentator and social media personality. She currently works for Turning Point USA, a right-wing nonprofit organization focused on youth activism. Owens has made headlines for her controversial opinions on race, gender, and the LGBTQ community. So what does Candace Owens believe? And how do her views Affect marginalized groups such as the LGBTQ community?Owens believes that homosexuality is wrong because it violates natural law – specifically James 2:14 ("You have heard that it was said ‘you shall not commit adultery' [but I say to you], everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart"). She also subscribes to traditionalist Christian beliefs about sexual morality - namely that heterosexual intercourse should be reserved solely for married couples between Adam and EveShe also discusses her dumb conservative gay friend who does not have sex and thinks gay people are fake....yikes. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Representative from Georgia - in Congress from 2021 through Present. This person is clearly delusional, and needs professional help. Marjorie Taylor Greene apparently believes that she was a victim of the riots on January 6th, and also thinks that Democrats mutilate genitals. These are serious allegations, and should not be taken lightly. In this episode, Bobby and Jim discuss their Devolution of a Podcast episode and why they did it. They talk about getting ready for Wilton Manors and Jim's Bachelor party weekend. They are concerned about their penis size in speedos and potentially nude even though they know they are fine and both have the proper equipment. Although if it was all about ball size and length, we would be the ones strutting around.  We discuss jocks, cock rings, and harnesses  we might want to get for the trip. Bobby realized he absolutely can't stand people from High School and can't believe he gave them so much power. Jim is concerned he isn't cute enough when it comes to his home decorations and both boys agree that retail in 2022 needs to be updated. Where are the sign spinners? WHy self checkout when you have a whole cart of groceries? In the end, it is all about the mindset. If you have a positive mindset and believe in your self-worth, you can start wearing speedo underwear, standup to your High School bullies, not worry about what your house decorating looks like and so much more. To listen and laugh to more ideas like these subscribe now to Not Well Podcast.InstagramTwitterBobby's Only Fans#gaypodcast #podcast #gay #lgbtq #queerpodcast #lgbt #lgbtpodcast #lgbtqpodcast #gaypodcaster #queer#instagay #podcasts  #podcasting #gaylife  #pride #lesbian #bhfyp #gaycomedy #comedypodcast #comedy #nyc #614 #shesnotdoingsowell #wiltonmanor #notwell #gaykink #highschoolreunion Support the show

Welcome to the Third Season of the Kink Kloset, where we start off with the scent of cigars and leather! On this episode of the Kink Kloset, we go international and find ourselves landing in the amazing USA. Through a plume of cigar smoke, we are welcomed by the Wilton Manors based leatherman, Leather Edge! Leather Edge grew up in New Orleans and had been thrusting himself into kinky scenarios from as early as he could remember. From a young,  geeky and  awkward manboy, he knew that there was something inside of him which was itching to be explored yet was constrained in his current environment. This itching turned into an insatiable curiosity for which he found himself into some seriously heavy BDSM situations so early in his youth. He was fortunate enough to be taken in by a nurturing leather daddy couple which had all the tools and spaces to make any kinkster wet. All of the knowledge, training, and experiences were never enough for this aspiring Leatherman who had no idea what path this was going to take him on.It was his mid-twenties, and a move which landed him close to New York City, which initiated another turning point in Leather Edge's life.  Leather Edge talks fondly of NYC and attributes their leather community of the late 90's to be a huge influence of who he is today. It was during this time he decided to embark on the path to become the Leatherman he wanted to see in the world, and lead an active lifestyle to help achieve that. Even after successfully fulfilling his goals, it was humbling to hear that he is still taking steps to ensure he feels at home in all environments when in gear. Even though you might see a confident and proud Leatherman with sensational gear topped off with a sexy moustache, he continually works on his own barriers so he can be present and at ease in any kinky situation.

This week's story involves a long and arduous journey for a woman named Fran Kubes. She has been trying to get justice for her sister Anna Marie Mullin who was brutally murdered nearly 40 years ago. After her discharge from the Air Force, 22 year old Annamarie Mullin returned to civilian life and began enjoying life. She was a regular at the Caboose bar in Wilton Manors, Florida. She knew everyone and everyone knew her. On November 6, 1982. The young woman noticed a stranger in the bar. He wasn't a regular and no one knew him. Annamarie sat next to him and engaged in a conversation with him.He then began buying her drinks. She became intoxicated. At 230 am. Annamarie left the bar with the man who had bought her drinks. He said he would give her a ride home. Annamarie waved to the remaining customers and said goodnight to them. Little did they know, they would never see their young friend alive again. She would be dead within several hours. A few hours later at 7 am, members of the St. Clements Catholic Church began arriving for mass. What they saw would shock them. A dead woman was found on the front steps of the church. She had been raped, beaten and strangled. It was a horrific and brutal killing. The Wilton Manors Police Department soon arrived on the scene to investigate. The dead woman was identified as Annamarie Mullin from Ashland Massachusetts. Just a few hours earlier, she had left the Caboose bar and now she was dead. Her case has remained unsolved for nearly four decades. Can you identify her killer? Following the midterm elections, Wilton Manors is now the second city in the United States following Palm Springs to have an all-LGBTQ city council—it also has the second highest percentage of same-sex couples following Provincetown, MA. Pastorius.
