My good friend Brittney Lumos has started a podcast called "Bitchin' With Brittney" and she came back to Springfield to visit friends, get some ink and popped into the studio to record an episode. She's got something to say to you about just about everything, and dammit, you're gonna listen! We enjoy some Dane Page music and Crank Arm Brewing beers as well as the Crazy For Swayze Hazy. Enjoy an hour with one badass mujer!
Any craft brewery that has biking as a theme is a craft brewery for us. And Crank Arm Brewing definitely has a thing and a theme for biking. So, let's crank it up this week for some beer and bike love while we chat all about life's trials, tribulations, and rewards! With a mutual love of bikes and beer came a passion project that fit Adam Eckhardt to a tee, Crank Arm Brewing. We were thrilled to be able to talk bikes and beer with Adam, one of the four masterminds behind Crank Arm Brewing in Raleigh, North Carolina. While his story may be similar to some - person loses job, person ponders purpose of life, person loves to brew beer, person opens brewery - his style and passion remain unique to him. When it became apparent that he was going to open a brewery, it was a no-brainer that bikes would be also be involved. Join us this week for some beer love, some bike love, and just all around love for passions that make the world go 'round. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Malteurop Celebrates Craft Breweries During American Craft Beer Week -------------------------------------------------------------------- American Craft Beer Week takes place May 10–16, 2021. John and Jake dive into three of the craziest car conspiracies out there. First, they dig into how the Big Three straight up killed the Tesla of the 40s, Preston Tucker and his Tucker 48. Then they discuss the very possibly murdered creator of the water burning motor that can cross the country with zero gas. And finally, how General Motors conspired to kill the electric streetcar all over the US. Buckle in and get ready for a wild ride. If you want to skip the beer and jump right into the conspiracy, fast forward to 14:00 and check out the CARSpiracies! But first, the beer: Jake is steering heavily into a Bill's Brewing Company (https://www.seeyouatbills.com) Camaro Crash Helmet DIPA. John is baffled by the dazzling can of Tricycle Prince, a Triple Berry Sour from Crank Arm Brewing (https://crankarmbrewing.com). This week the Drunk Moustache crew review Crank Arm Brewing from Downtown Raleigh. Crank Arm is a brewery that makes the most of its bicycling theme, and makes some decent brews along with some unique experimental beer flavors. We also review Brockhampton's "Ginger", with some unique sounds that don't mesh as well as they should. Taylor Swift's "Lover", a surprisingly sad album given the title which has some great tracks and some... not so great tracks. Finally we review Sum 41's "Order in Decline" which shows that despite their age, Sum 41 can still rock. Tune in for a listen.
