Here is the second (and final) part of our WFRP one-shot that community member Roders ran for Matt and fellow Kult player Harry last year. Roders won second prize in the 2019 Five-Page Fiction contest and choose this one-shot as his reward. His prize-winning submission, Nights in the Drakwald, can be found at http://mbcast.co/drakwald. The Companions of the Tattered Cloak leave Marienburg and wind their way along the banks of the River Reik towards the village of Pfeifeldorf, to carry out Lady Selena Reiva's errand and to pursue the Crusade of the Child. Under the eaves of the Drakwald they encounter danger and must fight for their lives.
In Episode 33, we take a look at The Wilderness. Many fantasy settings describe the wilderness as a wild and dangerous place, lethal to the unwary and full of monsters. Yet many games don't go any further, leaving wilderness survival and travel as something to either be handwaved or ignored completely. Yet treating the wilderness as a dangerous and unpredictable part of your game can help make the setting feel even more compelling. Join us as we march west of civilisation, and tackle the subject of Wilderness.
