We're headed to the battlefield this week as we discuss 2016's Pumpkin Pie Wars with guest Sammi C! Lots to chew on here, including sensual whisking, teeth pies, and dads hanging out in darkness. Plus, just how sinister is Betty, and why are these people in their mid-30s acting like they've never dated anyone before? So head on down to O'Malley's and crack open a cold one. You're about to be in Pie Heaven. Hear more of Sammi (and friend of the show Beau North) on their podcast Excessively Diverted! Rate and review us wherever you find the show! At the end of 2020, we're revisiting films from the past four years of the podcast and discussing them with some of our favorite folks. This week we're joined by Beau North (writer for The Spool and co-host of the podcasts Let's Get Weirding and Excessively Diverted) to talk 1982's werewolf-in-a-top-hat film Turkey Shoot (other stuff happens too but who cares). We discuss our favorite characters (who aren't Alph), as well as Matlock Police and old CGI movies. Plus Josh slanders Ken Marino. Rate and review us wherever you find the show! We close out Stalked By My Doctor: The Return with special guests -- and major Stalkder fans -- Sammi C & Christy Admiraal! We discuss fake blood tests, if Grant is a better name for a teenage boy than Garth, ladder death-induced-vertigo, special pancakes, and oxytocin. It's a wild ride and you owe us one, big time! *wink* Hear more from Sammi C (along with friend of the show Beau North) on Excessively Diverted. Read Christy's work on Nerdist! We're travel 20 years into the future to cover the rest of 1989's Rude Awakening -- and we're bringing special guest Beau North along for the ride! Beau is the reason we even know about this movie in the first place, so we thought it only fair that she discuss it with us. And there is much to discuss including: sexually transmitted monkey infections, the complete waste of Andrea Martin, and the excellent outfits worn by Julie Haggerty. Plus Beau makes a joke that almost makes us end the episode early. Listen to Beau's other podcasts Excessively Diverted and Let's Get Weirding! In this special crossover episode of Little Women: a Modern Audio Drama and Excessively Diverted, Shannon joins co-producer Sammi Campbell and Beau North to discuss another modernization of Little Women, 2012’s “The March Sisters at Christmas.” As this movie turned out to be QUITE sleazy, this episode is not appropriate for listeners under the age of 13. We’ll be back next week with more family-friendly content! This episode was edited by Beau North. Follow Excessively Diverted on Twitter @divertedpod.
#Shakesyear continues with Kenneth Branagh's attempt to meld Shakespeare and 1930's Cinema in what was ultimately a wet pile of words, soundstages, and bizarre musical numbers. We should have loved it, given our fondness for the works of Baz Luhrmann, but it just didn't work for us, resulting in the shortest episode of Excessively Diverted yet. Maybe we'll have better luck next time. Podcast art by Salty Said Sweetly https://www.saltysaidsweetly.com/
This week Beau and Megan are joined by the co-host of Excessively Diverted, Sammi C, who talks chapter three, David Lynch, witches and whitewashing! Podcast Art by Josh Hollis Podcast Theme by Bath House

This week, I’m joined by Sammi Campbell from Excessively Diverted to talk about this . . . weird . . . book. I mean, it’s great, but it’s weird. There’s ghosts but no ghosts! Bags under eyes and then no bags under eyes! Pajamas and no pajamas! What more do you want?! https://ia601506.us.archive.org/20/items/DIBCEP126/DIBC-EP126.mp3 … Continue reading "Episode 126 – Maniac Mansion!"

Along the way, we discuss the movie connects to Ju-On, attempt to square the idea of what Jason piloting a boat must look like and we try to tell the tale of “Hot Rock Recipient.” All this plus we pitch Kramer vs. Kramer vs. Jason Voorhees to Hollywood elite before dusting off a round of Choose Your Own Death-venture! Beau and Sammi are together again! Join the Excessively Diverted origin story as we discuss KaraLynne Mackrory's IPPY Award-winning book Haunting Mr. Darcy, as well as Austen's legacy of Feminist comedy.
Sammi and Beau have some exciting guests to announce as well as some housekeeping announcements.
Sammi and Beau get a little liberal with the cursing in this episode as they travel along with Amanda Price - all they way back to Longbourn. Join the ladies of Excessively Diverted as they discuss Modern ideas in a Georgian world, and why a life without Lizzy is one they're just not interested in. Lost in Austen was directed by Dan Zeff and stars Jemima Rooper, Elliot Cowan, Hugh Bonneville and Alex Kingston
Sammi and Beau return to discuss Jane Austen Book Club, Hugh Dancy's bicycle shorts all while lamenting the lack of modern 'Persuasion' adaptations in this episode of Excessively Diverted. Jane Austen Book Club was directed by Robin Swicord and Stars Kathy Baker, Hugh Dancy, Emily Blunt, Amy Brenneman, Maria Bello, and Maggie Grace.
Sammi and Beau are joined once more by Karolinn to discuss 2011's 'From Prada to Nada' in what might be the silliest episode of Excessively Diverted to date. From Camilla Belle's bristly law student to Wilder Valderrama's bevy of tank tops, the greatest love and affection in this episode is reserved for the best inanimate character ever, ShrubDad. From Prada to Nada was directed by Angel Gracia and Stars Camilla Belle, Alexa Vega, Nicholas D'Agosto, Wilder Valderrama, and Kuno Becker
Sammi and Beau are back to talk Zombies, Wickham, and period drama half-measures in this episode of Excessively Diverted. While this wasn't close to the worst of the movies they've watched for the show, it was nowhere near their favorite. One thing they agreed on: Matt Smith was, as always, a delight. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was directed by Burr Steers and stars Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Lena Headey and Matt Smith
