Magnús Már Einarsson og Arnar Daði Arnarsson fóru yfir málin ásamt Guðmundi Hilmarssyni íþróttafréttamanni á Morgunblaðinu. Gummi kom með góðar sögur af því þegar Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson var að sparka í bolta í garðinum hjá honum á yngri árum. Gylfi og Viktor Örn, sonur Gumma, hafa verið bestu vinir síðan í æsku og Gummi fór yfir spyrnutæknina með þeim í Hafnarfirðinum í gamla daga. Farið var vel yfir Nígeríu leikinn og stöðuna í riðlinum. Byrjunarliðið gegn Nígeríu var skoðað og Gummi boðar komu gamla skólans á Instagram í umræðu um vinsældir Rúriks Gíslasonar þar.
