Lucky Spencer's return to Port Charles is far from the joyous reunion Elizabeth Webber longed for. Haunted by his captivity and estranged from his parents, Lucky struggles with his trauma, refusing to confront Helena Cassadine or rejoin the Spencer-Cassadine feud. Though Liz clings to memories of their love, her attempts to reconnect are met with Lucky's cold detachment. A bittersweet kiss at the boxcar sparks fleeting hope, but Lucky pulls away, convinced they can't reclaim their past. His independence unsettles Helena, as even Stefan warns her influence over Lucky is fading.  Liz remains steadfast, confiding in Emily and Nikolas as she questions whether Lucky still loves her. A dinner at Kelly's, meant to rekindle their bond, ends with Lucky fleeing, overwhelmed by Liz's enduring hope. Helena continues to manipulate Lucky, who distances himself further, believing he's sparing Liz future pain. Despite his insistence that she'd be better off with Nikolas, Liz denies any romantic interest in his brother and reaffirms her love for Lucky, only to face more rejection.  As Liz turns to her art and faith for solace, Lucky grapples with his conflicted emotions from the shadows.
