You also knew the dangers of technology and were intentional in your efforts to guard your heart against them. You used the gifts you had in this world to bless others through radical charity, through seeing Christ in the face of those ignored by society, through the witness of friendship, and through your natural aptitudes with technology. In our world so broken by abuses of technology and which so often ignores or attacks human dignity, please intercede for us to God the Father so we may see the human dignity of everyone we encounter and ask for guidance from the Lord whenever we may be tempted to violate that dignity in our online interactions. Blessed Carlo Acutis, pray that we may treat our ever-evolving connections with developing technology as an opportunity to see the grace of God at work, even in the complexities of our modern world. The sale of the 4-star facility: a 70-bedroom hotel, bar and restaurant in Ennis brought to an end the Madden family's lengthy and eminent association with the hotel industry in Clare. A new era begins at the Temple Gate Hotel, though, with its purchase by a Co Clare hotelier, Kelvin Hotels Ltd. It is now owned by two well-known local hoteliers, Dermot Kelly and John Gavin, who are owners and directors of Shannon Springs Hotel located close to Shannon International Airport. To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined by John Gavin and Dermot Kelly. Photo (c): Clare FM
The new owners of a renowned Ennis hotel claims its strategic location made it a logical purchase. Dermot Kelly and John Gavin of Kelvin Hotels Limited have acquired the Temple Gate Hotel following the Madden family's 28-year ownership of the property. The pair are also the proprietors of the award-winning Shannon Springs Hotel and successfully raised it from a two-star to a four-star facility within the space of four years. Dermot Kelly, who's also the Shannon Region Chair of the Irish Hotels Federation, says they hope to capitalise on the tourism potential in the region.

“This is one of those movies I wish I could've seen opening night in 1960” - Eric On this week's episode, We ❤️ Movies Month kicks off with a total banger as the guys discuss the prequel to Psycho II, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho! How great is this Bernard Herrmann score? Is Marion eating a cheese and mayonnaise sandwich? Would the film have been as good if Norman was cast more book-accurate (middle-aged drunk)? And would Hitch have enjoyed modern fast food like the baconator? PLUS: Norman Bates tangles with the Skeleton League and their new ally, Swamp Thing! Psycho stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, John McIntire, Simon Oakland, Frank Albertson, Patricia Hitchcock, Vaughn Taylor, Lurene Tuttle, John Anderson, Mort Mills, and Martin Balsam as Det.
