We just lost one of the greats in one James Earl Jones. It's true doing a deep dive about a legendary actor is a bit out of our format. But we figured "Why not? Let's embrace our geekhood and pay tribute to a man that has a large following in Metaldom." Unfortunately, Aaron could not join us this week. So we brought in a couple ringers. Matt Copper is no stranger to the show. We've had him on a few times and is the co host of our sister show Wrestling Night In Canada. He's also a RAM alum. As well Snowy's daughter Charity joins us. Both grew up with JEJ' voice in their ears. Musically, we crank some Satan, Lions Pride, Wolfbrigade, Thulsa Doom (duh), Immortal Bird, Acid Mass and D.V.C. (Darth Vader's Church) (double duh). Horns Up!
Coleman gets psyched about going to the "Night Engulfs Life" tour, hypes the upcoming Hacked Apart tour kickoff, a Slow Death Records showcase in Victoria, the upcoming return of Deicide to Vancouver, and a heap of killer new music from Mammoth Grinder, Immortal Bird, 1349, and more. DIE.

Like the lady said..."We're so excited!" First off, this is another milestone with episode 700!! Plus, we recently experienced a night of firsts at the recent Manitoba Metalfest. It was the first time the legendary Exciter played our neck of the woods. It was the first time we've seen the classic line up live. And finally, it was the first time we had the good fortune of getting drummer/vox Dan Beetler onto our interview hotseat. Our excitement for Exciter goes back as far as for Heavy Metal itself with the classic "Violence And Force" album. So we didn't even really know where to begin with Mr. Beehler. But at the same time we had a thousand questions for him. We discussed the band's history with Megaforce Records and what the future holds! Another Bucket List interview! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we go into extra innings discussing Judas Priest and Onslaught going into the "Rock n Roll" and "Metal" HOFs, the impending return of Spinal Tap, and completely dissect the Joan Jett/Ted Nugent beef. Musically, we crank new and used from Exciter, D.O.A., the aforementioned Onslaught, Tysondog, Metalucifer, Iron Dogs, Immortal Bird, and Sadistic Ritual! Whew! Horns Up and Stay Healthy! Its an honour just to compete in the Waken Metal Battle Canada. It's right off the bloody hook if you win the whole shebang and get to strut your stuff on the Wacken stage. Victorious in the 2018 edition was Toronto's Centuries Of Decay. Normally we reserve our "Creature Feature" segment for more established acts (i.e. signed). But when an act with a story to tell like C.O.D. steps up then we gotta step up ourselves. During the outfit's recent stop in our neck of the woods we sat down with axe/vox Devin Doucette. We discussed competing in the Battle then the subsequent gig at Wacken! We're so stoked for them! In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we discuss fun in the Behemoth pit and go off on the recent Tau Cross controversy. Musically we crank some Centuries..., Victims, Immortal Bird, Amon Amarth, Flash Out, and introduce Elektric Mistress in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns!! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee.
