Seja talks to her guest Jack Ladder (real name Tim Rogers) about how silly songs initially drew him to music when he was a child. Tim tells Seja about singing in the talent quest at school, playing in and loving instrumental bands, and how he could quite easily have become a jazz-head had he not discovered Nick Drake. They talk about their love of morose music, how Jack ladder has a ‘German appeal’ and their feelings about playing to backing tracks. Tim’s strange show story was illustrated by Leith O’Malley.
