(00:00-26:15) – Query & Company kicks off on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison recapping yesterday’s show from Kroger for flood relief for Hoosiers. Jake and Eddie dive into Charvarius Ward’s comment yesterday about his back injury that sidelined him for nearly three weeks and then break the news that Alec Pierce is being activated off PUP. (26:15-44:43) – The voice of the Colts, Matt Taylor, joins Jake Query to discuss the breaking news that the Indianapolis Colts have activated Alec Pierce off the physically unable to perform list. They also get into which players could make the roster in the safety room and who is going to be the main contributors at the linebacker position. Lastly, Jake examines the road opponents for the Colts and asks Matt which road environment he’s most excited for. (44:43-48:31) – Jake Query concludes the first hour of the show by asking Eddie asking where they are at in their fantasy football league team’s given away. (48:31-1:13:16) – Earlier in the day, ESPN released an article ranking the 32 teams in terms of their watchability with a few factors. Jake has Eddie guess some of the top teams on the list, and try to pinpoint who ranks last. It leads to Eddie sharing some passion and emotion about how bad the list was. Lastly, Jake reveals where the Indianapolis Colts ranked. (1:13:16-1:24:49) – FOX59 host Dan Spehler joins Jake Query from Kroger to lament on how cool it is that Radio One, CBS, and FOX are all coming together to helping Hoosiers in need of flood relief. They also get into Dan’s arrival to Indianapolis in 2005 and how much he loves living here now. (1:24:49-1:33:31) – The final hour of today’s show starts with Jake discussing Charvarius Ward’s back injury and why he’s concerned about his availability throughout the season. (1:33:31-2:02:54) – Tony East from Circle City Spin, Locked On Pacers, and Forbes Sports joins Query & Company to discuss the Indiana Fever and Pacers with Jake Query. He welcomes producer Eddie Garrison on the show to discuss the Alec Pierce video of him walking around practice yesterday. Jake also touches on the latest shenanigans in college sports. (27:29-41:35) – Marian Knights Head Coach Ted Karras Jr. joins Query & Company to preview their season opener tomorrow night against the University of Indianapolis. Before doing that, they get into how last season ended for the Knights, highlight some of the key returners that fans will get the chance to see, and how he will look at the start of the season when facing a quality opponent with new faces in key positions. (41:35-47:07) – Jake Query concludes the first hour of the show by welcoming Eric Holverson from Kroger onto the show to discuss why all of the stations from Radio One and FOX59 & CBS4 are broadcasting from there and how this specific Kroger location was impacted by the flooding.
