Known as the Oprah of San Diego, Lynda has interviewed stars on the Red Carpet as well as more than 275 people on her show, Living Live. She is a speaker, best selling author of The Year of Fears, producer of WishMan movie, creator/coach of the Finishit Fast Program (turning procrastinators into actionators), and the Facebook Live queen having done more than 2,700 Facebook live videos.  In 2015 she embarked on a journey of facing at least one fear every day. In February, ’83  A man named Charlie Stettler and Lynda West organized a Rap & Breakdance Contest, (the first major hip hop event to be held in NYC) raising capital for a five-week event with free-admission finals at Radio City Music Hall for 6000 inner city kids sponsored by Coca-Cola and WBLS.  History was made: WBLS took the Arbitron book for the quarter, the show was the first urban format at Radio City, and three chubby Brooklyn teenagers calling themselves the Disco 3 were the rap winners.   Stettler renamed them the "Fat Boys", a name and concept he and West created and trademarked. For six years, the Fat Boys remained the only rap/pop group with five gold and platinum albums and two motion pictures to their credit. It’s 2017 and Prince Markie Dee is talking to Aaron on the REWIND

    In this episode, Stephen interviews Lynda West! She tells us all about how she got started making FB Live videos. She also tells us why every person, including business owners, should be doing FB Live videos as well! Listen in to hear all about it!... Lynda posts up daily birthday videos via FaceBook Live. She got started in 2015, she started to do a birthday video, because she loves to sing. "#366 Birthday" in a leap year. She started FB Live journey in 2014. She made a video for her friends son, Ryan, who has crybal policy. She committed to doing it everyday for Ryan, this helped her to keep doing videos. As soon as FB Live was available on Android, she immediately started using it. She never did takes, she just did it in one take. When FB Live came out, it was easy for her. "The most brilliant person could be sitting in front of you, that has been in that car accident, and has been disfigured, but you don't know how amazing they are because you don't want to talk to them because they're disfigured." In Junior High she decided to go "natural", no make up or hair done. She never mastered make-up, she doesn't put pressure on her outward appearance. Using FB Live for business allows people to see if they want to do business with you. In live video, they get to see if they resinate with you. "If I'm doing all texts and it's all ads and stuff that's all been planned out that somebody else has written, maybe not in my speak; then people are getting to know the person that's writing the ads, not the person who is offering the service." Live gives you the opportunity to interact with people and interact one on one. If you have a product you can show them how to use it and respond to questions. You can answer questions from potential clients right then and there. Video views highest 1,300 and lowest 47. Which sounds low in comparison to Gary V's views, but the more she does her videos, the more people are getting to know her and building her audience. "It's about building the audience." 47 people viewed just like standing in front of a room with 47 people. Helps you stay top of mind. It isn't a way that is annoying. Consistency: Shows people she is true to her word. Sings a karaoke version of a song she likes and sings happy birthday to people. People actually look forward to it. She helps people feel special. GSD Video Challenge: Has a GSD Mastermind It has done personal growth, helped her annunciate better, and helped her stop saying "um, oh yeah". She hears herself speak.
