This experience brings emerging AR technology into a live environment in a way that feels intuitive, magical and rooted in story, offering a new medium of entertainment and a unique chance for the public to experience the future of storytelling. The partnership brings together Imvizar's spatial storytelling expertise and the power of Snap Inc.'s Spectacles to introduce a new immersive layer to one of Dublin's most popular Christmas time events. In a bid to tackle the war against drugs in Ireland, The Labour Party will today call for a health-led drugs policy and decriminalization of people who use drugs.Labour's Health Spokesperson Marie Sherlock TD has said the Government has failed to deliver on its promise of a health-led approach, and that criminalising, shaming and stigmatising people in addiction has created a broken system that punishes rather than supports.Would you be in favour of decriminalising drugs?Joining Andrea to discuss is Addiction Therapist in Limerick, Michael Guerin, as well as listeners.

A Health Research Board report published today shows the number of cases treated for problem alcohol use were up by 7% on last year. For reaction Marion Rackard who is an addiction Counsellor and Psychotherapist and co-founder of Silent Voices campaign from Alcohol Action Ireland and Michael Guerin who is an addiction counsellor in Limerick.

Cocaine treatment jumped from 1.5 to 93.2 per 100,000 people between 2020 and 2023. That's just one of the startling findings from new research by the Heath Research Board. It describes the use of the drug as a 'perfect storm' with higher availability, purity and affordability. Addiction Specialist Dr Garrett McGovern says despite work being done to prevent cocaine being sold here, the statistics continue to worsen.
