The race was calm by the normal Moto3 standards, but the last lap more than made up for the lack of action. Kelso was looking for his first ever Moto3 win and was leading Munoz and Rueda. In the second to last turn Munoz dive bombed Kelso which caused both to go off track. This allowed Rueda to pass both of them and take a surprise victory. The Moto2 riders were forced to watch the back of Gonzalez for the whole race as he dominated. MotoGP was where all the action and surprises were.
