Welcome to episode 10 of "Thu'umcast" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith, Scott Dirk, Austin Haley, Makahlua and I document our trials and tribulations in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Today we speculate about the eventual DLC, gripe a bit about the perk/leveling system, and cover a fascinating quest glitch involving a dremora, the stormcloak guards in Whiterun (after the end of the civil war, obviously), and The Companions. Hot tip: don't summon a Dremora in Whiterun to "help" fight a dragon :) If you liked our work on That Podcast, you'll probably like this. We intend to stay with the same idea - a gameplay podcast. Today is pretty much the end of the road for "That Podcast" - we wrap up the latest (and last) DLC, "Lonesome Road", and offer a few retrospective ideas on the game. Along the way we mused a bit about where the franchise might go from here. Thanks for listening! We'll likely have one more (very brief) audio update to announce the particulars for our planned Skyrim podcast. So keep the iTunes subscriptions live, at least for a little while longer. Michael Lucas-Smith and I are fans of a number of video games - we both like the Fallout series quite a bit, for instance. Since we end up talking about the games we play so much, we thought it might be fun to do a podcast on the subject. Here's episode 4. In this podcast, we talk about Civ IV and Civ V - we've both played Civ IV quite a bit, and appeared on Polycast to talk about it. Michael carries the chat about Civ V; I don't have it yet, since I'm on the Mac. To listen now, you can either download the mp3 edition, or the Ogg Vorbis edition. You can subscribe to the MP3 edition in iTunes using this feed. You can subscribe directly in iTunes as well. If you have feedback, send it to James Robertson. On today's podcast, we have a special guest - Makahlua, one of the regular co-hosts of Polycast, which covers everything about Civilization. This is the "White Glove Treatment" podcast - we talk about the Vegas Strip, a bunch of side quests that can sidetrack you on your way there, Lake Mead, and the impossible to deal with DeathClaws. Along the way a few other locations came up, including the murder mystery in Novac. You can subscribe in iTunes (or any podcatcher) using this feed, or this one for the AAC edition. You can get to the podcast directly in iTunes via this link. If you want to download the podcast directly, I've provided it in three formats: MP3 Edition AAC Edition Ogg Vorbis Edition Got feedback? Send it to James. We'd really appreciate it if you head on over to iTunes and leave a comment - enjoy the podcast, and we'll see you in the wastelands! Welcome to episode 3 of "That Podcast: An FNV Diary" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith and I document our trials and tribulations in Fallout: New Vegas. This is the Repconn podcast - we talk about the quest to rid the Repconn test facility of ghouls, and the different ways the two of us approached that. Welcome to episode 2 of "That Podcast - a FNV Diary" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith and I document our trials and tribulations in Fallout: New Vegas. Today we delve a bit deeper into the wastes In this episode, we talk about our first encounters with some of the bigger players in the game - the Legion, and the NCR. Michael also made it to the vegas strip, and has a few tips on getting there without spending a fortune. Meanwhile, I documented my challenges getting to Novac :) The schedule for this podcast will depend on how much game time we get in, which of course depends on our jobs (or, in my case, my job search) and regular lives. We should be hitting the pod-waves regularly though - you can subscribe in iTunes (or any podcatcher) using this feed, or this one for the AAC edition. You can also subscribe directly in iTunes! Welcome to episode 1 of "FNV Diary" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith and I document our trials and tribulations in Fallout: New Vegas. We both got the game yesterday - Michael via Steam on the PC, me via UPS truck for the XBox 360. We got started pretty much immediately :) In this episode, we talk about the early game as we saw it. If you don't want spoilers, don't listen in - we are talking about what we saw, how we dealt with what we saw, and what the options looked like. This isn't a review cast so much as a diary case (thus the title). Michael Lucas-Smith and I are fans of a number of video games - we both like Fallout 3 quite a bit, for instance. Since we end up talking about the games we play so much, we thought it might be fun to do a podcast on the subject - so here it is, episode 1 of "James and Michael on Games". We aren't sure what kind of schedule we'll be keeping to yet, but we plan to release regularly. We're looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas enough that we might do a more frequent update on our impressions of the game. If that happens, it'll come out under a separate podcast feed. In this podcast, we talk about Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins - the plot, game play, things we liked, things we didn't like. We have a lot more to talk about - there are plenty of other games we like! To listen now, you can either download the mp3 edition, or the Ogg Vorbis edition. You can subscribe to the MP3 edition in iTunes using this feed. I'll be submitting the feed to Apple's iTunes store for a listing there, but in the meantime, just go ahead and subscribe manually. If you have feedback, send it to James Robertson. Technorati Tags: games, fallout 3, dragon age, xbox
