This week on Saturday Matinee, we continue the holiday festivities with three heartwarming and hilarious old time radio classics. Abbott and Costello are back in "Lou's Christmas Party" finding the duo in chaotic holiday shenanigans as they try to host the perfect party. In Ozzie and Harriet's "No Show for Christmas", we see Ozzie scrambling to save the day when plans for a quiet Christmas don't go as expected. Finally, in the Halls of Ivy, "The Snowman" tells a charming tale of campus life and a magical winter surprise that brings warmth and laughter to the holiday season. Listen to all the heartwarming holiday humour this Saturday on Vintage Classic Radio.

This week on Comedians on Suspense, we are featuring the comedy couple, Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard, in "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." Ozzie expresses his preference for routine, particularly his breakfast of boiled eggs, while Harriet contemplates shaking things up, even considering a new haircut. This light sitcom came about in the late ‘40s, though Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard had been in show business since the early days of radio. This is an Encore Presentation of my December 2022 interview with Bruce Belland of The Four Preps, America's first boy band. Their 1958 million selling hit “26 Miles Across The Sea” made them into international pop stars. The song influenced Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and inspired Jimmy Buffett. The Preps were featured on the Ed Sullivan Show and had a recurring role in “Ozzie And Harriet”. They even co-starred in the movie “Gidget” with Sandra Dee. In total they had 8 Gold Singles and 3 Gold Albums. Bruce talks about his fascinating life in the entertainment business including his date with Nancy Sinatra. My featured song is “Around The Horn” from the Made In New York album by my band, Project Grand Slam.
