Now, he and those same friends are the creators of the comedy collective Dormtainment - which has an audience of more than 1.1 million subscribers on YouTube and a number of high profile projects on the horizon. Episode 62: Rome Green Jr is one of five members in Dormtainment, a comedy collective group. He’s not just a comedian but an actor, writer, spiritual and energetic person living in Los Angeles. He recognizes the position he’s in and is extremely grateful for it as well as the fans who’ve supported him and the group over the years. In Rome’s eyes being raised as a military child has worked out in his favor. Born in Heidelberg, Germany he spent two years there before moving to Massachusetts, then Panama and finally settling in North Carolina. Instead of being raised in one environment he had the chance to experience different cultures and it changed his perspective of the world. It was the first day of college at the Art Institute of Atlanta when the Dormtainment crew first met. After failing with party promoting Rome and one of the guys made a video of them clowning around, uploaded to Facebook and saw tons of feedback so they kept going with it. Even with their original YouTube channel getting deleted after two years of work, hundreds of videos, tens of thousands of subscribers, they looked at the setback from a positive lense as an opportunity to rebrand and came back even stronger. As of today they have over 1 Million subscribers, their own podcast ‘Comedy Trap House’ and recently had YouTube Red pick up their new show “Snap!”.
