For nearly fifty years, the Iranian people have suffered incalculably at the hands of a sharia-supremacist regime. The fact that the so-called “civilized world,” which the mullahs also assiduously threaten, has largely ignored that horror – and, worse yet, to varying degrees enabled it by doing deals with them – is damning in the extreme. Amidst the latest, and hopefully final, popular demonstrations against the ayatollahs, President Trump today has publicly aligned the U.S. government with Iran's people.  In a Truth Social post, he declared: “If Iran [shoots] and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go.” President Trump seeks a legacy of peacemaking. His greatest contribution to a true and enduring peace in the Middle East will lie with helping Iranians liberate their country.  This is Frank Gaffney.
